    It’s important to note that when beats mode has sustain turned off (the single arrow with the line) bringing the number down is reducing the sustain at the transient level, or whatever time division you have set, not the entire clip. This is how you can impart rhythms on non-rhythmic sounds.

      @@kingofdjembe the last one can be done very easy in Logic, he just shortned the transient of a loop using the built in Live's feature nothing special here. you can do the same in Logic using Logic's enveloper

      @@kingofdjembeYes you can, it works in a similar way as well. In the bottom portion of the Inspector, “Track” where you can see the Flex Mode: drag the Slices down to a small percentage and you’ll get that shorter sound as shown in this video. If you don’t see this bottom portion you might have to click open with the disclosure triangle. Most Logic users don’t even know this option exists.
