@@waligibson240 NO MATE, IM SERIOUS. In my 40 years I have never witness guy with better combination of vertical speed quickness to have post up moves fundamentals with both feet pivot an and ball control with both hands THE SAME. He had weakness his long shoot over 20 feet is not reliable and wasnt even good in 3s at all but he had pass playmaking and incredible feel when to drive when to pass. Unlike LeBron , Hill no need dozen snipers or to hold ball high usage. LeBron doesnt have great ball control, his usage top of the arc wait for others snipers to open while he stand and does nothing, thats not a passer to me, not to mention assist to turnover ration one of the worst in history with Harden and Westbrook. While Hill is more like Larry Bird he pass ball when games pace and flow comes to him he had feel for the game not ball hog forced dimes. If Hill stayed healthy I think he would be better than him.

There not impactful enough to lead a solid team to a championship. That's why CP3 can play for like 5 different franchises and still not win a chip and westbrick same thing. Play for multiple different franchises and achieved nothing ever since KD left him. Dominate scoring point guards dont win chips.

He just seems so down to earth and he's just looks at himself as just a regular guy! Extremely humble guy whose been at the top and almost lost it all even his life yet never let any of that hold him back! I remember seeing him and Tamia at a Golden Corral in Orlando. He walked in on crutches with his family and as a kid I asked for a picture with a disposable camera. He reluctantly agreed to letting me take it of him on his way out. I think the injuries took a big toll on him on and off the court but he was always very down to earth and humble.

One of my all time favorites. Just a great player, but an even greater man who's as humble as he was good on the court. Prime Grant Hill would crush most "superstars" of today and had he not been injured, would be high up on in the summit of Mount Rushmore. A healthy Grant would have also changed the trajectory of Tracy McGrady's career too and we'd have gotten many more years from the two.
    Thank you for this interview.

I never really knew too much about ghill besides that he was a super talented player whose career was hurt by injuries but he still ended up playing a long time, him being part of the hawks, and him being a respectable analyst on tv. But after listening him on here and on jj's pod i am blown away by his remarkable story. I really enjoyed his great storytelling too. It's amazing to see what he's been through, how much he's accomplished and all that he's involved in now. Seems like he has stories for days from all those years he played and tons off the court stuff too. I thought he was super open, honest and thoughtful. Seems like his book really got him to want to open up more and dive deep on his history. I feel like anything he wants to do he would be successful at. He really seems to have a sharp and in depth mind. Ive got a whole lot more respect and admiration for him now. I mean from how serious his injuries were, the crazy details with that, his great/wild music stories, going up against a lot of the best of all time, usa ball etc. Dude has seen a lot and im looking forward to hearing more and seeing what hes up to next especially him picking the usa squad thats huge. Good for grant man. Im glad it seems like his peers have ultimate respect for him and hopefully this book and his media appearances will make an even broader audience appreciate him more. Easy guy to root for after learning about him

Grew up rooting for him and even had a pair of his shoes back in the day. He often gets left off the list when we look at all time greats but he for real was a serious problem and had it not been for his injury the history of the league would look totally different.
