Considering this movie came out six years after return of the Jedi that is impressive. I would say being impaled in the gut is a good equivalent to being thrown down a reactor pit Ursula is a good analogy to the Emperor. because they both shoot lightning ⚡️ out of their hands
This is as epic as Vader now redeemed as Anakin Skywalker throwing His former master the Emperor down the reactor pit in the second death star during return of the Jedi. Because his love to his son Luke Skywalker. turned him back to the light side.
My friend Cameron and I came up with a radical new crossover adaptation of this movie where Ursula is gloating “ I am the true ruler of the oceans” Suddenly a zombified (because Ursula herself resurrected these extinct marine reptiles) Mosasaurs (as big as it was in Jurassic World) and Leipleurodon (as big as it was in walking with dinosaurs)Leap out and scream👿 “no we are!” And bites down hard on her neck. Dragging her under the waves whist other prehistoric marine super predators. Violently bicker and squabble against each other for their lion’s share of the kill in a feeding frenzy. And as they eat the aquatic alchemist alive the zombie 🧟♂️ curse is broken and they are truly brought back to life in all of the former glory

The score they used in this version is so intense- combined with the darker/grittier visuals of the storyboards it's actually kind of menacing!
I was thinking the exact same thing. I love the final product, but this one is more intense.
Excellent and exciting to watch. And seeing Ursula's faces on her own tentacles? Amazing.
I think it kinda took away her scariness.
