I wish the live-action remake kept Eric saving Ariel in the climax. Ariel had already saved his life TWICE. Eric should've returned the favor. The remake seemed to think it would be fun if Eric was the damsel-in-distress throughout the film, instead of treating their male and female leads as equals.

Every time I see that scene, it reminds me not only of all the times my mother and her firstborn unleashed their unreasonable, unjustified and absurd prejudices towards my tastes for anime and video games, but also of all the times they tried to destroy anything related to all that. When it was obvious that they should have changed their attitude for the better.

They all did an amazing job!❤However, Halle Bailey and Jodi Benson made me tear up.😢 Halle’s notes were pure, her pitch was perfect, and she delivered smoothly. Magic to my ears. I think I’ll watch it again . All of the ladies were great, the length of the notes were amazing. ❤😢

It would've been better if one of the eels loses it's temper when Ariel turned them down and turned them away like this: Jetsam: I THOUGHT WE TOLD YOU TO COME WITH US TO SEE URSULA!!!! I'm a little disappointed they deleted some of these parts. Seeing a braver Flounder challenging the shark and also helping Ariel get to the boat, if they put that and the battle of Scuttle and the birds from the final version, that would be a good mix. And I find Scuttle's reaction to Vanessa at the beginning was funny too. It shows how bad he feels about Ariel. Not to mention Sebastian called him a dodo. 😄
