    Very informative video! I am asked about this all the time; I was a huge skeptic of removing the exhaust filter, but after trusting Kawi Performance and installing it, I have reduced maintenance costs and downtime and have had no issues after 100+ hours of use. Thanks KP for giving us the facts and standing behind your products!

      @@kawiperformance received 2 bypass kits for my 2023 310 Ultras. Both have the kawi stamp on the bottom of the spacer

    Appreciate this video so much! I made the decision to install the KP exhaust filter bypass kit, coupling & ss hardware at the end of last season. I can’t wait to get back out on the water and not have to replace the Kawi filter every 25hrs. You guys were a huge help to me during the install process - thank you! As a relative novice to marine engines I wish all your products/kits had an accompanying video like this. Great job and looking forward to the next KP product for my 310 🤙🏼

    Why can just cut the the two weldings for remove the filter and keep the oem plate ?

    • @kawiperformance
      @kawiperformance  Месяц назад

      You can do that, the aluminum plate is just a better heat transfer medium to dissipate the heat better

    Sitting over the summer, should you crank the ski 1x a week to let it burn any condensation?

      If you get all the water out when you blow out the exhaust, you should not need to, however it wouldn't hurt

    Doesn’t apply to me as I have the STX-160, but good info for if I buy a 310. I have yet to put my ski in saltwater but before I do I will get the 148mm KP pump upgrade

    • @kawiperformance
      @kawiperformance  5 месяцев назад +2

      That is an excellent upgrade for the 160

      I have a STX-160LX, what does the 148 KP upgrade do?

    • @stuartpeck26
      @stuartpeck26 4 месяца назад +1

      @@robertcook5974 there’s nothing to prevent the thrust created by the pump from sliding the pump shaft backwards into your camshaft thus destroying your engine. This upgrade prevents that. I’m going to have it done before my ski gets up in the higher hours to prevent that from happening

    • @robertcook5974

      @@stuartpeck26 thanks for the info Stuart. My ski is under warranty. Will upgrading void my warranty?

    • @stuartpeck26
      @stuartpeck26 4 месяца назад +1

      @@robertcook5974 factory warranty from Kawasaki yes. That one should cover it if it happens anyways. If you got an extended warranty from your dealership, it depends. This upgrade is reversible so keep your old shaft so you can always put your ski back the way it was if you need to.
      I hope this helps and I hope someday we see each other on the water.
