Hey friends, I've received several messages asking about my excellent Faith FG1 acoustic guitar. You can now receive a 15% discount on any Faith guitar by entering the promo-code "SWIFT" at bit.ly/2S9P1Wi.
I received the White Album for Xmas in 1968, I was twelve. I've always considered this they're best love song. I heard it the other day and it got its claws into me, I had to learn it! I'm mainly a keyboard player but a fair acoustic player. Your lesson is hands down the best guitar tutorial I've ever encountered. Well done sir!
you're lesson is PERFECT. Not only that, you sound amazing when you play it and you even manage to capture that tenderness and sweetness that the song has when Paul plays it in the album version. Congratulations for your hard work, simply amazing
Who the hell would give this a thumbs down?? NO ONE on RUclips teaches better then this guy. I watched three other videos on instructors trying to teach this song- they don’t come close to breaking down the song and explaining it in an easy to understand way like swift lessons does.
Hey thanks JT, I guess you can’t please them all, but I’m so glad you’re enjoying this lesson. Please consider sharing. Many more are on the way. Be well! -Rob
While new to the channel, this tune never gets old. You totally nailed it, I never played the Bbdim in it before, and the Emaj7 is such a perfect way to end this tune. Can't wait to work this one up to speed, thanks Rob!
You are patient and a sincere teacher. Clearly you want your students to be succeed. You seem to enjoy being a teacher who makes a difference for your students. Thank you so much.
That's simply amazing!.. It's not easy at all, playing lead and rhythm together and singing at the same time. I know how difficult this is, because I'm a solo artist myself. And most importantly, the lead notes you're playing are accurate..sounds almost like the original!...keep it up.
Thought this was great. I play it in F without capo, as when I learned it in 1968 I just didn’t think of using a capo. One difference I have is on “ Sing it loud so I can hear you. Make it easy to be near you “ rather than going from Bb to C , I think Paul was going to the relative minor of C ,hence Bb-Am -Dm, or in the key of E I would think A - Ab m - C#m . My ears are shot . Please give it a try. The one beat two note intervals after those three chords is genius . Loved your rendition, and vocal. The fills were spot on which leads me to believe Paul used a capo as the pull offs you played sounded perfect . Kudos.
Excellent. It'll take a while to get this one down to where I can play the cords with a few abbreviated riff's - but you've given me all I need to figure something out. Thank you!
Who knows how long I've loved you You know I love you still Will I wait a lonely lifetime If you want me to, I will For if I ever saw you I didn't catch your name But it never really mattered I will always feel the same Love you forever and forever Love you with all my heart Love you whenever we're together Love you when we're apart And when at last I find you Your song will fill the air Sing it loud so I can hear you Make it easy to be near you For the things you do endear you to me You know I will I will
Thank you for putting the chords on the screen and demonstrating the song. Some other guy goes on ridiculous tangents about what Paul did when and how and....the best part is his channel name is to "Shut up and play". LOOOL.
I love your tutorials!! the best "teacher" in you tube for sure! Please, can you do a lesson of how to play Man of the Hour by pearl jam? Thank you and congratulations on how you teach!
Great lesson. You could also tell your followers that the "bassline" is McCartney singing the notes! . He did this by himself in another studio as other Beatles were working additionally in other studios! Pretty cool.
@@swiftlessons It's, of course, not part of the lesson on how to play a song, but it's extra neat info. By the way, he played EVERYTHING on that song, drums included, as far as I know. I am 68 years old and have the honor of "being there" as a 10-year-old watching the Beatles play live on Ed Sullivan on 2/9/64 and have dedicated my life to music and guitar!
I think this tutorial is so smooth haha i can tell how you demonstrate the chords and the lead part haha its so damn good and yeah talk about the patience so that people can understand it more haha Thanks a lot sir!
Thanks man! Great combo rhythm and lead parts. Looks pretty much exactly how the Beatles (and later just Paul) played it. I’m looking forward to watching more of your stuff!
I'm a first time watcher and a professional Vocal Coach. It was very refreshing to see this guitar tutorial. It is a compliment to my other piano and guitar music theory classes.Take care and be well.
I WAS trying to learn the Guitar I've given up lol learnt the piano all classical for 8 year's people said "You'll pick up the Guitar so quickly probably only take a few month's to learn simlpe cord's which is all I wanted to do WRONG gave up after 5 month's have gone back to the piano I am 63 after all learnt Piano from age 12 I have so enjoyed your video playing and singing baci x
Thank you for this lesson. I'm playing a Ukulele, and I have my chords, but I wanted to know how the song is really played. I didn't need all the detail, per se, but I loved it and it gave me some ideas. I really wanted to hear you play it all the way through. You have a wonderful mastery of the instrument, and a beautiful voice. I've noticed that most tutorials don't. Can you tell me why? Is it in another place?
Hello my teacher. You have taught so much. All I have to do is the work. I thank you. (did you add the fret markers on the guild ?) If so , what a terrific job !!
May i know your name Sir.. Its so nice teaching youve shared..i like this song now and then..when im younger of age..i like the band beatles..all their songs and albums are great and good sounds and it has an sentimental..sorry for my english words if it has wrong
Thank you for this great tutorial. So you're in Brotherly Shove? I live near the Art Museum 🙂. Small world. I am going to really spend time with this tutorial to learn all that you have shared. I'm wondering however - and I'll guess I'll try to discover myself - if there's a way for a lone guitarist to incorporate some of the wonderful and so identifiable guitar licks that accompany the background chords, each of which you have laid out and shared so clearly? Thank you again so much for this post.
You're lessons are always the best! I'm glad I stumbled upon your videos a while ago and became a patron. I would really appreciate it if you did a lesson on Lay It On Down by Kenny Wayne Shepard! That's a song I can't seem to get out of my head.

The best “I Will” tutorial!!!
Check out "Shutup & Play" version
@@alangriff1 no he sucks
I guess it'd have been better if he would have given us the lead parts tabs but still it's good tho

The best tutorial for this beautiful song. Congratulations. Now I got it completely as the original, except my voice…😀 Thank you so much.
Brilliant. I used to play it from G. Don't ask :). This makes so much more sense. Thanks.

You are the only one on RUclips that has taught us this song in such a detailed way! Thank you so much

This was an effective way to teach this. Excellent! I might actually get to play this after all these years. Thanks!
Haven't played all year, this is just what I need.
For the song, I will, you are the best tutor that I found.
Greetings from Dublin Ireland, great lesson - thanks so much for sharing 😊
Very clearly demonstrated
Nice clear teaching voice
Well done

Thanks for the tutorial! I'm not a massive fan of the way you sung it, but I like the way you teach :)
