Any relationships in stories, because it's interesting to compare something fictional to non-fictional things, and personal to yourself or myself... I wouldn't mind having this type of relationship. I read someone posted something really sweet and sentimental; it was something along the lines of, 'he had so much love her, but what they (or he) thought was romantic, was instead more so platonic, but deeper'.
I think both women just did what they had to to cope with the hand they were dealt. I definitely understood why Beth Ann did what she did after finding out that her supposed loving husband whom she made a commitment to love & care for til they die, had every right to turn into a psycho bitch. He had legit been cheating on her for yrs with multiple different women & then had the absolute gaul to blame his wife for their daughters death when it was in fact his then mistress who caused it to happen. Even up until the end, he never came forward with that. She had to find out through the actual mistress which is what set the plan in motion. Any person who finds out such a massive betrayal would turn into a major psycho. Although, I will say, some would straight up get revenge right away instead of holding out like Beth Ann did but at least, it was a satisfying end for her.
They were my favorite couple. Karl and Simone might have been a little scandalous and dysfunctional at times…but I loved their unwavering love and admiration for one another, despite the many obstacles that they were faced with. They always had each other and were partners until the end. Fabulous show!
