    The bms was helpful. I build my own but was looking to see how others do it. I'm curious of how efficient they are after stepping down the power and balancing the cells. 36 volt at 40 amp would be about 400 amp at 3.6. If the power is split by resistors then there would be about 10 amp per cell. I bet you are losing about 20 to 40 percent power but it would be nice to see. You should see how much power per cell and how much power going in to see. I use large ah 3.2 volt cells with a much higher current charge. I have a lot more bms equipment but a lot more efficient design. I use no resistors and don't step the voltage down

    Just trying to help. If anyone follows your bms wiring they are going to fry it and/or there cells. After the black ground wire you start with the red one next to it in that order. Just look at the diagram you showed. You are trying to teach everyone starting with the wrong positive and going backwards. Don’t want to step on your toes in what your doing. Just trying to help. I’m probably going to make a similar video in the upcoming future. Hope my 2 cents helps

      Bms's do not monitor single cells unless it's a 1p battery. Bms's monitor groups of cells, each individual parallel group. The same BMS you would use for a 10s 1p you would use for a 10s 6p.

    to anybody that is watching he points out the count in reverse you want to start from negative then go up to 10. if you where to check the voltages counting up they would increment from 3.7 up to 36 volts the way he counted was de-increment this is wrong and you will possibly fry ur BMS

    • @aznative_
      @aznative_ 4 года назад

      And just in case people were so impressed with the video not to listen to this comment Nicholas is absolutely correct. Wire it the way the video tells you to and expect to fry your BMS at the very least. You always connect the negative to your negative terminal then the positive or next wire to the negative goes to the first series connection then the next wire goes to the next series connection and so on and so forth. The last wire should end up at the positive terminal. If it does not you did something wrong. So basically the video tells you to do it backwards. This video should be flagged for removal.

      The red wire next to the black goes on the positive of the cell to the far right of the pack then you can work your way across right to left.. was that better?

    • @JustVlads
      @JustVlads  5 лет назад

      Thats correct your capacity multiplies per each cell. So if you have 6 3.6v cells giving you a total of 18,000mah capacity. This is how your pack will be specified - 21.6v at 3000mah = to 64.8 Watt Hours. Its the same as say you have 6 3.6v cells in parallel giving you 3.6v at 18,000mah = 64.8 Watt hours. So its more easier to understand total capacity with watt hours than with mah. Hope all this is making sense.

    You did a good job putting the video together but unfortunately the information is absolutely incorrect. The way you described how to wire the BMS for the individual monitoring of groups of cells was backwards. The easiest way to understand how to wire a BMS is to start with the black wire. The black wire gets tired right into the negative terminal that you have created for your battery. Then the red wire right next to it goes to the first series connection and you keep going on and on like that. What you did was set everyone up to fry their BMS. Do the right thing and recreate it with the correct information. You're literally liable for any damage that someone does based on your video. I didn't see a disclaimer. And don't think in terms of ruining a BMS. Think in terms of burning someone's house down and killing people. Not cool to put together a video showing people how to do something inherently dangerous when you're not quite sure yourself what you're doing.
