I continue to be amazed by these talented lads and all their accomplishments throughout the years. Including the three amazing performances for the Queen's 60th Anniversary of her Coronation. From across the pond - "Spot on to all the young men and the staff - Bravo! Well done all these years!"
I have recently discovered Only Boys Aloud, and thank goodness I did. The choir's singing is rich and you can tell how meaningful the songs are to them. I would be honored to be one of them. The boys are learning a great life lesson of not worrying about what others may think of them. I cherish my Irish heritage and when the choir sings Danny Boy and Loch Lomond I picture my grandmother singing those tunes she loved so dearly. One day I hope to see Scotland just to see Only Boys Aloud perform.
THEY NOT ONLY SING, BUT THEY LIVE MUSIC!! THEY ARE INVOLVED IN LOVE, PRIDE OF THEMSELVES, WORK THEIR FUTURE!! THEY ARE CLIMBING THE STAIRWAYS TO HEAVENS! ANGELS SING WITH THEM. EVEN THEY CANNOT SEE THEM BY NOW...BUT SOON...

This is inspiring. I really love to listen to Only Boys Aloud. I know the boys are talking in English, but I cannot understand some of them. I love the dialect. Keep up the good work please.
Watching this 11 years down the line, Tim are you still in contact with any of the boys? It would be interesting to know if any are still singing,and did they think that being in OBA helped them with their education.
Many of the boys have gone on to further themselves a career in music and theatre, some turning professional or have themselves become music teachers in their own right. The boys leave OBA when they reach 20 years of age. Currently over 240 boys are in Only Boys Aloud, 14 choirs in all - ten in South Wales and four in North Wales. They are from Wales, which is on the west of British Isles, Scotland is in the North of the British Isles..
