I am an American and proud of my country. But, like most Americans, my forebears came from somewhere else. In my case, most came from Wales. My grandfather was born in Pontypridd.

I honestly became a fan of Wales at the Euro 2016 when I heard the national team and the fans singing this intensely beautiful song. I was impressed by the passion and the quality of the singing - I have never heard a more beautiful national anthem. Surely this reflects the great bardic folksong tradition in Wales. Keep your beautiful language and music heritage alive for future generations! Lots of cheers from a Scandinavian. :)

Truly a beautiful and inspiring anthem. I can see one reason why the Welsh Rugby teams do so well . That anthem can definitely inspire some to go out and do well.
One of my old stamping grounds was Pontypridd and Tonypandy have lived in Malta many years married to a Maltese lady have 3 children married now all of them,but still feel Welsh,and always get news from reletives in Wales.
I love listening to the Welsh national anthem.This was amazing. I also love when Katherine Jenkins sings it in the stadium with the crowd singing is spine tingling .

The Welsh missionaries composed the Khasi Jaintia anthem in the same tune and meaning as that of the Welsh anthem (Meghalaya , northeast India)...ri khasi ri khasi...🎶.. Great anthem...
Those children at the beginning are the best singers - clear pure voices without that racket in the background that spoils the rest of the hymn

Actually it was written and composed by Evan James and his son James James at the ancient druid Inn in hollybush in sirhowy valley between blackwood and tredegar my dear mothers village near Markham coillery it's in the history books but so beautiful anthem best in world from a Welsh boy now in Falkirk Scotland cymru am byth eirioed Bob dydd

I love to sing this and always cry at the end the only thing is I am English, but this song is for the people the land and all live there. Unlike the English one it is for one person and not the people or the land.

As an Australian with a Welsh name and a Welsh speaking Grandfather ,I do regret the loss of the welsh language,
But I do note a lot of my Australian relatives have Welsh names and my grandparents named their house Myfawnwy
Proud Texan of Welsh heritage, of which I’m just as proud. My grandmother was from Wrecsam
