  • Male choral singing has been a proud tradition in Wales for generations, and after the first auditions of Britain's Got Talent 2012 is set to continue with Only Boys Aloud.
"Only Boys Aloud is a choir for 14-19 year old lads from the South Wales Valley's.
The song they are singing is Calon Lân (a Welsh song) the words of which were written in the 19th century by Daniel James (23 January 1848 - 11 March 1920) to a tune by John Hughes (1872--1914) The song is often referred to as a hymn but it isnt a hymn. It is a song associated with the Welsh rugby union, being sung before almost every Test match involving the Welsh national team.
Thank you to youtube channel "elmo5242" for helping to provide the above information with regards to the song.

I’ve never seen a more moving movement with young Men and their devotion should never be underrated. They should be honored and praised for their CHOiCE to be a part off this beautiful presentation. it’s not easy to sing in a large group. They have fortitude and grace
that will far exceed their endeavors.

Brings tears to my eyes to hear so many young boys/men singing with the enthusiasm they show on their faces. And brings back memories of a time gone by in my life. Well done. Keep singing. Even after you turn 19. Prayers for you
