I'm here 5 years after you because I've never forgotten either he was so precise. I was subbed to a forum back in the day and I still remember the advice he gave me. If it hurts, don't do it (regarding percussive bass techniques). When digital became the norm with auto tune and everything became the norm my desire to become a master musician died... it hurt to watch music go that way but there will always be people who respect true musicianship and the mastery it takes to get to this level. Re motivated since digital music is dying

A teacher once told me not to worry about losing a passion or dream because his belief was that when it's really what you want, you will chase it. He said that maybe it'll come back to me when I would retire or maybe I will chase it sooner but never to worry about 'needing' to do/ chase it. It is sad when you lose something you enjoyed to do but this advice has given me some peace in losing things I loved before. Maybe it will come to you when the entire earth vibe is shifting back to something more pure and natural instead of the benevolence and abundance of everything 🌻
