This guy is the King 👑 of all king's in Acoustic Guitar. He brought it back and took it to another level and invented a new way of playing the guitar
I remember watching this in college back in 07 and 08. Those were good times
He's got to have steel strong hands for that. I tried that for a minute on my guitar and I was getting brand new calouses in a couple minutes! You can hear it in his playing how much he's practiced, refined and perfected his craft! This is my favorite performance of his.

That sequence at 0:45-0:50 with the fanned fingers and two mutes still sounds so awesome (watched this when it got uploaded and again today so been a long time). Still fun to find that I still think it's an incredibly awkward setting with the small studio and audience looking at the back like that as well.

This was amazing. It does sound very similar to his other work, "Air Tap", only bit modified and with percussion.
This is nice, sounds synthetic in some ways, like a Commodore 64 hooked up to a car battery. Knowing it's natural is beyond amazing.

I remember this video from years ago. Really inspirational thing to see for a unique take on how to play a guitar. I thought this video was amazing years ago and I still do today.
Any other guitar players cringe at the end when he tries to mess up the truss rod adjustments? He must constantly be adjusting that due to all the abuse.
I'm almost positive erik knows very very little theory, he's just a combination of a gift and hours upon hours of loving the instrument.
Again, never fail to impress. Unique. No one has these skillz.

It's a wild combination of ambient and technical skill that I can only name two like it. Chopin on piano and Debussy on lower strings. Totally enjoyable.
I was lucky enough to see him in a little theatre in cumbria with great acoustics and Jennings real ale on tap. He plays it perfect live, and quite a likeable eccentric character.

Not all recording artists do that, I know a bunch of bands that sound Ditto like the recording and that is also awesome in it's own way.
