Control volume on configuration menu but this is for SC1 and may be similar on SC2. Power on by pressing both + And - until ‘hello’, continue holding for 3 seconds, you will hear 3 quick beeps and hear “ Battery Level”. At that point you can press + or - to adjust the volume of the configuration menu voice commands. Thank God. I can now wear this helmet again!

Dear Sir, the TFT of my bike has two possible bluetooth connection. The first one is for mobile phone, and is dedicated to the smartphone (and the relative APP), the second one is "bluetooth headphone". My smartphone can support as many bluetooth device as I have... I have a few question because I have a few issues to set the system. Should I only connect my SC2 with my smartphone "as second mobile phone" or I also have to connect SC2 to TFT as "media" to the bluetooth headset option of the TFT? And have I to avoid the "first mobile phone" option of SC2 ? Thanks

Brand new SC2 in brand new C5. I can get the main unit to say, "Remote control pairing." but the remote control never blinks after 8 secs or any number of secs (other than the power on red and the four blinks showing battery life). Any hints? brand effing new.

I have a Schuberth S3 helmet with SC2 intercom and my friend has a Sena Stryker (probably with Sena 50S). When we connect, there is a constant background noise. We changed many settings but couldn't find which one. One time, My friend received a phone call and couldn't answer it. Then when he tried to call back, I don't know how he did it, but when we reconnected, the background noise was gone. We tried our intercoms both paired with Bluetooth and connected that way, and we tried with Mesh. The result is always the same. That background noise is constant and it is very annoying on long trips. Once we caught a completely quiet moment, we thought it was a mode that was turned on and off, and I wanted to ask you. The only difference between my friend and my intercom application was that HD sound quality was turned on in my helmet.

Rimango ancora basito che nel 2023 e con i prezzi a cui siamo arrivati i dispositivi (TUTTI) siano ancora così complicati da usare e abbiano grossi limiti di connettività tra interfoni di marche diverse. Mi é capitato con interphone, midland, sena e ora ho detto basta, ho deciso che sui miei caschi non monto più un interfono. Se considero tutto il tempo perso per fare gli accoppiamenti avrebbero dovuto loro pagare me. Ma é possibile che nel 2023 non ci sia un sistema univoco e comune per tutte le marche e che non ci siano limiti di abbinamento? Troppo cari, troppo complicati, troppo limitati e a compartimenti stagni tra marche diverse.
i installed my sc2 in my c5 helmet today simple install everything working good apart from the voice activation, phone, music and radio all good from the buttons, the voice activation worked at first but not every time , so i rest back to factory settings and updated the firmware on the laptop now everything on the buttons ok but cant get any voice activations. I must have done something to the settings been on it all day no further forward can you help thanks
I've got the brand new E2 helmet with the SC2. Unfortunately the remote controller connects only if I remove and reinstall its battery. Then 3-4 taps connects it as shown in this video. But once I turn off the remote (+ and top button) and speaker says remote disconnected, from there on the 3-4 tap connection doesn't not work. Nothing wakes it up and connects it to the main device. If the battery gets removed and reinstalled then it works again. This is disappointing as I can't do this every night on a tour ... 😕
Hi, I do not seem to be able to control te volume in FM radio. By tapping the + or - buttons I can control the volume of the music when using Spotify, or the phone, but pressing these buttons does not change the volume level of FM radio. Thanks.
Unbelievable - had major issues with SC2 paired to a Freewire/Harley with no audio out on a phone call. Got that half way sorted out (still have an echo on the speakers when I speak) and am having issues with simply turning the remote on (from a turned off status). The User Guide says tap remote button 1x. No dice. Doesn't work. Watched this video and it says tap the center or any remote button 3-4x (pg. 13) ! Sena left hand doesn't communicate with the right hand!! You'd think someone would proof read their stuff before publishing it, but no - it's Sena. My SC1 in a C4 worked well. Lots of problems with this SC2 in a C5. I thought I upgraded!
Hi, strange that you have issues with an Sena Intercom. Is that which is Harley branded? Please use Intercom for the connection if the device doesn´t support Mesh. For remote: When you have stwitched off the remote fully, yyou need to tap the upper button once. The LED will blink and show the battery status. If you only switch off the SC2, the remote will go to sleep mode. After restart of SC2, tap the + button 3-4 times as mentioned in the video. For me it works well to wake up the remote :)
It is possible to install it in the S3 helmet?? All the videos I see are for the C5 where they connect the microphone in one of the sides. Where is the microphone when installed in a closed helmet as the S3? Is the sound quality any good?
Hello and thanks for your comment! Yes, the SC2 is also suited for the S3. The microphone is already installed in the helmet, so you simply need to install the main unit on the back of the helmet and that's it. If I sync motorcycle system with sc2, is needed to turn on remote control? I mean, can I control directly sc2 from motorcycle buttons? My idea is to turn on remote control only for advance management, or other options like mesh, intercom, gps, etc. from sc2 to save remote control battery, is possible?
The fact that you need this video and that the user guide is over 50 pages reinforces my opinion; the UI/UX is terrible, far too complicated. Also why do you make us do firmware updates from a laptop/desktop computer instead of directly through the mobile app -- another terrible UX. On a ride this past weekend with 5 other riders all with Sena comms was an exercise in frustration to get the intercom working for all of us. Hey Siri was very unreliable and sounds quality was very average. We all gave up and I'm back to using my AirPods Pros with active noice cancelling.

I have a C4 with the SC1 and now a C5 with the SC2 and Bluetooth intercom range on the new helmet is terrible. I hear a lot of static if I'm more than 20 feet away from my wife who has a Shoei NeoTec2 with SRL (also made by Sena). With the C4/SC1 we could be almost a half-mile apart with crystal clear communication.
@@MS-or1te I tried that.. the connection is clear but the range remains extremely short and you lose audio multitasking which means you can't listen to music and use the intercom.
@@bretthawton I confirm this. The range is terrible and static interference. I hope there is a firmware upgrade that can fix this issue - certainly not meeting this consumers expectation.
Nice over view of the SC-2 with clear instructions, however I want to know how to connect to a cardo mesh please. We pay a lot of money and to find they don't connect via mesh is most disappointing. If you cannot connect to different brands you need to be clear on this as your advertising seems somewhat misleading, deceptive, as you state that we can connect to multiple units. Unless I am wrong and you can connect? please respond with the clear instructions. Using bluetooth telephone connection to bring into a mesh just drops out every 18 seconds. I can't work out why, but every 18 seconds the bluetooth drops out.

Hallo, es wäre schön, dieses Video auch in deutsch zu erleben. Erst musste ich nach dem Helmkauf fast ein halbes Jahr auf das SC2 warten, da es nicht verfügbar war. Dann hat man sich mit der nicht gerade leicht zu verstehenden Bedienungsanleitung herumgeschlagen. Das ich bei einer BMW nicht das SC2 mit dem Handy koppeln darf, sondern nur mit dem Motorrad, das stand nirgendwo und bringt einen zum Verzweifeln.😡 Gott sei Dank gab es dann mal einen Tipp in einem Forum. Das ist ja mal ein ausführliches Video, aber deutsch wäre gerade bei nicht so elektronisch bewanderten Käufern nicht verkehrt.

Hello Jess Yes, the SC2 remote switches to sleep mode when you switch off the SC2. After restart, you need to wake up the remote by tapping 3-4 times the + button. If you don't use the communication system for a longer period, for example in Winter, you can fully switch off the remote by pressing the + and the upper center button for 3 sec.

My ‘old reliable’ SC4 Pro and SC1 comms were in use with my 2022 BMW 1250 RT via the TFT System …Connections….Mobile Phone (iPhone 13 Max) and Helmet (SC4). With my new SC5 Pro and SC2 v.1.0.1, I deleted both the TFT Connections for the iPhone 13 and the old SC4 Pro. While troubleshooting the SC5/SC2 v.1.0.1 set up, I found I could get a working set up by first setting up the SC2 with the second Bluetooth Mobile Phone pairing. Positive results: Open Mesh, iPhone functions (calls, Siri, music) work, including with another SC2 in Open Mesh channel 1. Next step: I THEN paired the iPhone with the bike. [I THINK this might be the root problem: Second Mobile Phone Pairing done FIRST, and Primary Mobile Phone Pairing done second???} Negative results: cannot use Navigation wheel to control NAV nor volume and network connection with phone is unstable. Must I FIRST pair the iPhone with the motorcycle, then pair with the Schuberth SC5 with the Second Mobile Phone Pairing?
I deleted the phone and helmet from the tft. All comaands do not work when connected to the BMW. I do not use the BMW nav so the connection to the TFT is redundant.
I agree about the volume control for the configuration menu. When I search for a way to do that, it always gos to how to control media volume. I can’t even wear the helmet until I resolve this my volume is at a deafening level. If i find the solution I’ll let you know.
Back unit turns but never says hello. Remote seems to not be paired with back unit (yes, I know it says they come paired). When I turn off the system, it doesn’t say goodbye. This is across 3 C5 helmets and 2 units and 2 firmwares. $1k for the worst most failed setup experience of my life. Never shows up on Bluetooth to pair (tried 2 iPhone and 2 Android).

Hello and thank you for your comment! Yes, your SC2 can be connected to other brands devices, simply use the universal intercom mode. To do so, push the upper central button for 10 seconds until you hear "configuration menu". Note that you will first hear intercom pairing, keep the button pushed. In the configuration menu, push the "+" button until you hear universal intercom pairing and push the upper central button. It’s fully charged. But when I push button it is silent,,Doesn’t say “Hello “ I’ve contacted Schuberth and they advise me to send back to retailer . Which I’ve now done,,, saying that they could be a fault with either Helmet or the SC2 . Retailer has been very helpful. So hopefully I’ll get a replacement by weekend….

Good overview video. I have this unit and think it’s great (and the helmet superb). Only one thing I can’t seem to be able to adjust: the Sena voice confirmation sound level. For example, when I’m listening to music and want to play the next track and I say « hey Sena, next » the system replies « NEXT » so loudly it’s painful. I wish there was a way to turn down the Sena system sounds and replies, don’t see that anywhere, not in the app, device manager or manual. Other than that, it’s sweet.

Hold the middle upper button for 10 seconds until you hear 'Configuration menu' (Caution, you will hear 'Intercom pairing' after 5 seconds, keep holding the button until you hear 'Configuration menu'). 4. Tap the + button once until you hear 'phone pairing'. 5. If you only switch off the SC2, the remote will go to sleep mode. After restart of SC2, tap the + button 3-4 times as mentioned in the video. For me it works well to wake up the remote :)
It is possible to install it in the S3 helmet?? All the videos I see are for the C5 where they connect the microphone in one of the sides. Where is the microphone when installed in a closed helmet as the S3? Is the sound quality any good?

Yes, the SC2 is also suited for the S3. The microphone is already installed in the helmet, so you simply need to install the main unit on the back of the helmet and that's it.
Concerning the quality of the microphone and the speakers, they are Sena's latest ones and are the same ones used in the SENA 50S.

I have seen almoist every tutorial for the Schuberth Sena sc2 system, but nowhere they explain where to plae the microphone while riding, so with closed helmet. I have the helmet and i can not find out whre to place it.

The fact that you need this video and that the user guide is over 50 pages reinforces my opinion; the UI/UX is terrible, far too complicated. Also why do you make us do firmware updates from a laptop/desktop computer instead of directly through the mobile app -- another terrible UX.
On a ride this past weekend with 5 other riders all with Sena comms was an exercise in frustration to get the intercom working for all of us. Hey Siri was very unreliable and sounds quality was very average. We all gave up and I'm back to using my AirPods Pros with active noice cancelling.
SC-2 to SC2 I am guessing will work fine? But it seems very difficult to connect to another brand such as Cardo.

You can also pair Cardo via Universal Intercom pairing with the SC2.
Therfore plese set the SC2 in pairing mode "Universal Intercom" and the Cardo in pairing mode for mobile phone.
Tipp: reset the Cardo device before you start the pairing.

I have a C4 with the SC1 and now a C5 with the SC2 and Bluetooth intercom range on the new helmet is terrible. I hear a lot of static if I'm more than 20 feet away from my wife who has a Shoei NeoTec2 with SRL (also made by Sena). With the C4/SC1 we could be almost a half-mile apart with crystal clear communication.

@@MS-or1te I tried that.. the connection is clear but the range remains extremely short and you lose audio multitasking which means you can't listen to music and use the intercom.
@@bretthawton I confirm this. The range is terrible and static interference. I hope there is a firmware upgrade that can fix this issue - certainly not meeting this consumers expectation.
Nice over view of the SC-2 with clear instructions, however I want to know how to connect to a cardo mesh please. We pay a lot of money and to find they don't connect via mesh is most disappointing. If you cannot connect to different brands you need to be clear on this as your advertising seems somewhat misleading, deceptive, as you state that we can connect to multiple units. Unless I am wrong and you can connect? please respond with the clear instructions. Using bluetooth telephone connection to bring into a mesh just drops out every 18 seconds. I can't work out why, but every 18 seconds the bluetooth drops out.

Unfortunately a Mesh from Cardo is not compatible. But you can pair with Mesh from the company Interphone.

To do so, press the lower center button for 8 sec. when SC2 is in standby.

Hallo, es wäre schön, dieses Video auch in deutsch zu erleben. Erst musste ich nach dem Helmkauf fast ein halbes Jahr auf das SC2 warten, da es nicht verfügbar war. Dann hat man sich mit der nicht gerade leicht zu verstehenden Bedienungsanleitung herumgeschlagen. Das ich bei einer BMW nicht das SC2 mit dem Handy koppeln darf, sondern nur mit dem Motorrad, das stand nirgendwo und bringt einen zum Verzweifeln.😡 Gott sei Dank gab es dann mal einen Tipp in einem Forum. Das ist ja mal ein ausführliches Video, aber deutsch wäre gerade bei nicht so elektronisch bewanderten Käufern nicht verkehrt.

Yes, the SC2 remote switches to sleep mode when you switch off the SC2.
After restart, you need to wake up the remote by tapping 3-4 times the + button.
If you don't use the communication system for a longer period, for example in Winter, you can fully switch off the remote by pressing the + and the upper center button for 3 sec.

My ‘old reliable’ SC4 Pro and SC1 comms were in use with my 2022 BMW 1250 RT via the TFT System …Connections….Mobile Phone (iPhone 13 Max) and Helmet (SC4).
With my new SC5 Pro and SC2 v.1.0.1, I deleted both the TFT Connections for the iPhone 13 and the old SC4 Pro.
While troubleshooting the SC5/SC2 v.1.0.1 set up, I found I could get a working set up by first setting up the SC2 with the second Bluetooth Mobile Phone pairing.
Positive results: Open Mesh, iPhone functions (calls, Siri, music) work, including with another SC2 in Open Mesh channel 1.
Next step: I THEN paired the iPhone with the bike. [I THINK this might be the root problem: Second Mobile Phone Pairing done FIRST, and Primary Mobile Phone Pairing done second???}
Negative results: cannot use Navigation wheel to control NAV nor volume and network connection with phone is unstable.
Must I FIRST pair the iPhone with the motorcycle, then pair with the Schuberth SC5 with the Second Mobile Phone Pairing?
I deleted the phone and helmet from the tft. All comaands do not work when connected to the BMW. I do not use the BMW nav so the connection to the TFT is redundant.
I agree about the volume control for the configuration menu. When I search for a way to do that, it always gos to how to control media volume. I can’t even wear the helmet until I resolve this my volume is at a deafening level. If i find the solution I’ll let you know.

Back unit turns but never says hello. Remote seems to not be paired with back unit (yes, I know it says they come paired). When I turn off the system, it doesn’t say goodbye. This is across 3 C5 helmets and 2 units and 2 firmwares. $1k for the worst most failed setup experience of my life. Never shows up on Bluetooth to pair (tried 2 iPhone and 2 Android).

Yes, your SC2 can be connected to other brands devices, simply use the universal intercom mode. To do so, push the upper central button for 10 seconds until you hear "configuration menu". Note that you will first hear intercom pairing, keep the button pushed. In the configuration menu, push the "+" button until you hear universal intercom pairing and push the upper central button. On the other brand's device use the phone pairing mode to connect it to the SC2.

It’s fully charged. But when I push button it is silent,,Doesn’t say “Hello “ I’ve contacted Schuberth and they advise me to send back to retailer . Which I’ve now done,,, saying that they could be a fault with either Helmet or the SC2 . Retailer has been very helpful. So hopefully I’ll get a replacement by weekend….

Good overview video. I have this unit and think it’s great (and the helmet superb). Only one thing I can’t seem to be able to adjust: the Sena voice confirmation sound level. For example, when I’m listening to music and want to play the next track and I say « hey Sena, next » the system replies « NEXT » so loudly it’s painful. I wish there was a way to turn down the Sena system sounds and replies, don’t see that anywhere, not in the app, device manager or manual.

You can adjust the volume of the voice promt by tapping +/- button. It´s the same voulume level which you choose for playing music. It means, if you hear music loud, the voice promt is loud too. We´re soory.

The SC2 needs to be put into the 'phone paring' mode.
1. Turn on the SC2.
2. Tap the + button on the remote control 3-4 times to wake it up.
3. Hold the middle upper button for 10 seconds until you hear 'Configuration menu' (Caution, you will hear 'Intercom pairing' after 5 seconds, keep holding the button until you hear 'Configuration menu').
4. Tap the + button once until you hear 'phone pairing'.
5. Turn on the motorcycle's ignition and search for headsets with the motorcycle.
