    Live and learn man! Atleast you have enough integrity to admit your faults and show it. Had a contractor hit my mailbox, cost me $500 to fix it. When i sent him the invoice he disappeared. Stuff happens and most people understand that. Honesty goes a very long way!

    On my machine that was 4Gpm I went from a 13 inch to an 18 inch surface cleaner and that caused the psi output to drop (When the washer was maxed) from 3000 to 2000. However that is not bad, as 2000 psi is more than enough to clean concrete and the higher pressure can etch as you said in the video. I would say go for the largest cleaner you can use that keeps the psi around 2000 and it'll be good. For me that was about 18 inches.

    Im using my landscaping business to power my pressure washing business. I have almost everything but a better pressure washer which ill be getting next week. Right now im working with a 2.5gpm pressure washer. Definitely upgrading to the 4.2gpm. I have almost all brand new equipment. Actually it is all brand new. Thats just how i like to roll. I got the xjetM5. I have a 5.5gpm pump for my soft wash system. Jrod. Extensions. 14in and 18in surface cleaner. Ive did 2 jobs so far. The first i feel like my mix wasnt strong enough. The second job was alot better but i realized a 2.5gpm pressure washer is slower and doesnt work well with too much hose (150ft) lol. Im learning. I like it alot. Its different. Lawncare is my luv but this will keep me busy throughout the year.

  • @Jason-eo7xo
    @Jason-eo7xo Месяц назад +2

    One thing though is that you need to be spraying down all of the grass and other flora with normal water before you pre-treat and after the post-treat. Also be aware the you need to be wearing protective sunglasses, gloves, clothing and shoes that are bleach resistant, like polyester and rubber, because all of that bleach is bad for you. Wear a face covering or mask when you are under a heavy treatment.

    Dude you are awesome! I have literally the same set up, same softwash system and a GMC Yukon to pull my trailer. I started 7/1/24 and my business is starting to really pick up. Was just able to save enough for a professional skid with my job. I have made many mistakes and am learning just like you. I definitely recommend a bigger surface cleaner and at least a 4GPM machine. Good luck bro!

      Hey man that’s awesome! My current washer is 4.2 gpm and DEFINITELY need that 8gpm. I wanna upgrade so bad but gotta just wait. I don’t like going in debt for anything. I’d rather pay outright for it. What did you upgrade to? Did you go big boy and get 8 gpm??

      @@YoungBloodPressureWashing yeah I landed 2 large commercial contracts near me and ended up buying the “Workhorse” skid from Expert powerwash in Oregon. I’m in CA and it’s not easy running a pressure washing company here with all the stupid laws haha. Got all the upgrades too. Comes with an 8GPM Honda GX 690, remote downstream kit, softwash system with blend manifold, whisper wash surface cleaner with rack, ladder rack, 100 gallon chem tank, 200 gallon buffer tank, and a bunch of spare parts and upgraded guns and hoses. Now I’m able to take on more work and larger jobs. I’m just a one man show, but hoping to grow by the end of 2025 when I graduate grad school. I landed the contracts through Angi which I have mixed feelings about them. Anyway, keep kicking ass and investing in yourself. The best advice I heard so far is that year one is all growth and year 2 is when you can start to see some personal profit! I might start filming, but it’s so much time. Love the channel and I’m rooting for you, hit me up if you ever wanna chat or have questions. We’re all in this to win.

      @@BayAreaPressureProswhat a freakin upgrade!!!!!! Right on bro!! Yeah that will be sweet there because I wanna take on bigger jobs but I know I can’t right now due to my equipment so I’m hustling these smaller jobs and saving as much as i can for upgrades. Filming takes a lot for sure. It adds a lot of extra time to the job but I feel like it’s worth it for others that are in the fact same boat as me…..ground zero.

    look into getting a unloader so you dont burn out your pump on your washer

  • @Quin1eyy
    @Quin1eyy Месяц назад

    it may be a bit of a stretch, but i would invest in a nice suttner softwash gun! they work great with a j-rod and you can clean almost any house and driveway. also, a proportioner would make it so that you dont have to spray 5% on pre treatment. or, you could look into an xjet m5 and use the beige tip to spray about a 1% mix for pre treating, then use no tip for post treating.

  • @AaronWilhelm

    Not sure if it's because your camera is switched around to selfie mode but I don't think your flag is hung properly. Stars should be at top left not top right. Harbor freight sells a stubby gun for about $25 that is getting good reviews. I pre\post treat with an xjet so I dont have to get my softwash system out. I really respect you just being so honest and frank about your experience. Keep at it man. Get you a pressure gauge and only go to about 2500 PSI, that is all you need. I have the same washer you have and used the unloader knob to turn pressure down to prevent etching like you ran into.

    • @YoungBloodPressureWashing
      @YoungBloodPressureWashing  27 дней назад +1

      It’s because of selfie mode. It makes it look backwards. I actually just got 2 sutner guns in and have a video of me setting them up. Appreciate it man. I feel like people need to see the mistakes being made. That’s where the learning is made and others know what not to do. I want where my viewers don’t make those mistakes and can save money and time.

    Not a bad set up. I was thinking if I should go all out, or just the basics. Idk. I really want that AR45 Fresh Rinse has. But the set up you have, would keep more in my bank, to add on other services. Sooo.... Idk... I guess it depends on what im working with when I begin my build. 1.5 years. Only bill I have is my truck payment, Id like to get that paid in full, so I dont have to worry about anything except my business. To go cheap, or to not go cheap. Thats the real question...

      @@InnocentlyInsaneCreations I guess it all Depends on if you have the clientele to support going all in. I can’t because my jobs are spotty right now with just starting out. I see ALOT of full blown rigs for sale because I think guys jump all in without having enough clients. I like going slowly only because if I ran completely out…..well I have a sweet setup for the house and the occasional side job. If it’s my full time(I intend too eventually) then I’ll go all out and have all the bells and whistles. That’s what my channel is for is to show me trying to grow from the ground up so others can learn from my mistakes and also the good choices as well. Best of luck my friend!

      @@YoungBloodPressureWashing I feel that. Im just sick and tired of my current Career. 300k a year isnt worth a minute of my time any more. Truck Driving. Spending 14 hours a day, 7 days a week, to get a day off every few months. Fk This. Going all in, with a lack of clients, sounds really nice to me right about now. Untill rent and other bills are due... then... yea... I feal ya with it. Hopefully you are in a good area, that will have the demand to build the business. If not, create the demand.
      IMO, I think those other guys just didnt know how to get the business. Nor how to run it properly. Also got in over there head, and didnt realise how much work is really involved. It does take time to grow. Most people dont think that it does. Ignore them. Now think of some side hustles to add on the business that people need, so you have more than one service.
