Hi loves! This is part 2 in my routine series - today I’m sharing my workday routine! This is everything I do on a typical workday, working from home as a writer/editor and living that freelance life. When you are your own boss it can be extra difficult to overcome procrastination and stay productive, so I hope this gives you some good tips!

#FACTS honey this video is pure facts for people that work from home. MY BFF worked from home (12yrs) and she echoed all of your sentiments. Mainly the structure required to work from home: invest in good office furniture and equipment and treat each day as if your are in a physical office. Every work from home / self employee should watch this.👍🏿👍🏿💕
I had so much fun watching this! Your bell 🔔 is super cute and made me laugh 😆 but it’s such a good idea 💡! Your coworkers were sleeping on the job so they made need a dock in pay 💰! I literally smiled within at your love of pink because my great grandmother was a true DIVA and she LOVED PINK! She often combined her fav shade of pink with Gold!
I like all your videos, but am particularly enjoying this series. You are positive and inspiring. I will begin working from home in August when I retire from my current occupation and head in a new wonderful direction. Loved that you shared the particulars of your workday. It’s similar to what I was planning and gave me lots to think about. I embrace the extra as well 😊 makes life feel good.

Previous month I was able to pull my first five figure paycheck ever!!! I've been working for this company on-line for 2 years now and I never been happier... They are paying me $95 per hour, and the best thing regarding this is the fact that I am not that tech-savvy, they only required standard idea of internet and basic typing skill...The best thing about it is the more time I got with my family. I am able to dedicate quality time with my family and friends and look after my babies and also going on vacation along with them very routinely. Don't let pass this chance and try to act quickly. I always thought I would love to work from home. But I'm not sure I would be disciplined enough! You are so organized!! I'm organized, but I also think I need to have someone else that I know is checking on me for those days that I'm not remotely motivated! But even in an office, there are def days I don't leave on time when I have things I know need to be done. I love this series!! Hope you have a great weekend 😁🌞🌼

I work from home as a fulltime licensed artist and you're right...it IS so hard to get motivated somedays when you are only accountable to yourself. Love your creative space!

I loved this video so much, Charlotte! As you know, I have a private practice and working from home is a struggle! My days are always varied based on my client load (sometimes I'm seeing clients, sometimes I'm working from home, sometimes I'm squeezing in errands for myself and my partner). I'm desperate to create some sort of routine and find it hard to stay accountable to myself. You've shown such a wonderful example of how to craft a day.
"Save the Cat" is the BEST screenwriting book ever written. It saved me when I sold my first movie to Disney.

Just discovered your channel!! Love this video so so much! What a great idea to clock in and out. It's so important to have that literal signal to your brain. I'm struggling being a work from home homeschooling mom. I need to implement some of these ideas. And I'm also a Disney nut!! You're precious!
Damn, I've only started working from home for three months because of covid, i felt overwhelmed and unmotivated. And when i tell my friends about it they don't get it, but you stated the fact that working from home definitely have the downside. I feel validated. 😅

So taking several tips from this! Thanks :) I think it’s a good idea to clock in and out. I get distracted so easily or I feel like oh, I can do one more personal thing before work, then 30 mins later I haven’t started! The timer would help too, one you can see counting down. #Goals! Love this! Organized, focused, inspiring. I commute and work for a company, so getting things done is a challenge. With meetings and interruptions, I constantly stop and start tasks all day. At the end of the day, I'm exhausted and the list of things to do is even longer. Kudos to you.

The struggle is real when working from home. Seriously I worked more at home daily than I did outside the home including commuting times. I ran my own virtual call center and had many clients. It took years to perfect what worked for me. I treated my home job the same as the brick and mortar job. I clocked in and out the same time. If I didn't I'd be working until 10 or 11pm. It was so easy to do. I give a full day in 8 hours and I didn't deviate from that. I kept my routine the same. I took my breaks and lunch at the same time as well. It's a mind thing it helped greatly with keeping the balance. On a rare occasion I may have had a Skype or conference call that was after my work day ended (i.e. time zones) I made allowances for these time but that wasn't the norm. I miss it so much. Maybe 1 day I can have it back again. Excellent video Charlotte. I didn't know you had a beauty book. I'll have to get that💗💗💗💗

Why have I never thought to file my emails in relevant folders?! 🤦🏻♀️ That will be a project on my to do list next week! My son has one of those bells on his desk in silver. He uses is to summon the staff (me and his dad) for snacks etc. We have created a high maintenance monster!

I am loving your routine series. I think I am a rather organized person until I see your set up and routine and then I am like stop, wait! I am not as organized as I thought. I watch your videos and it helps me tweek a few things. I need to take in more breaks and have a set schedule. I love the timer, so I have to get one for myself. It is a good idea. Thank you for sharing your ideas, you do understand how much you help me.

I have used the Bali Sunrise candle from Target as my “time to study” candle since nursing school, that’s so cool you have work scents too! I’m loving this series.
I do work scents too :) However I do a perfume, since candles cannot go anywhere (don't wear smelly perfume in an office though! this is weird, but I put it right on my collar and a little on my chin-- LOL-- so it's right under my nose without other people having to smell it).

Hi! I'm wondering what you do in particular to keep yourself from getting lonely and staying motivated? Working from home often means you can work in your pajamas, so do you prefer to get ready in the morning?
Always get fully dressed and ready! Go to work at a coffee shop, meet up with a friend to work together, take a walk on your break, call a friend :)

I don’t know if ur interested in pumping out ur Mac into pink. I am huge lover of pink and can’t even look at my laptop screen if its not pink
Cdock is a Mac app lets you change the color of your dock on ur Mac to any color
And of u google cute pink Mac icons you look find a lot like pink safari icons, you can easily change right click the icon and copy and paste the icon (you can google for better instructions)
And chrome lets you have browser themes
And your folder icons can be pink.. just google pink folder icons and you can right click and easily change those too.. just thought u might be interested in that 💕💕
