I used to hold a personal theory that Gordon is to Black Mesa as Chell is to Aperture: their brains being all discombobulated and Scienced-up by their respective employers, and made into superhumans against their will. This is only true for Chell. Gordon is an excellent foil to the both the Combine and Aperture; He is ABSOLUTELY, without a doubt, 100% human. YES, he would have attempted to meet Alyx's hand. And HELL YES, he would be denied such an intimate gesture by the sudden lurch of unfeeling machinery. Such is life. Gorgeous animation.
Dude the way you are animating Gordon is giving a lot of emotion to him in a way that still Valve would do in my eyes. Please do a project that we see the half life animations in episodes like series.
From what I'm told, both Alyx and Gordon's in-game models are unfinished due to the fact that apparently you don't really see them much. Basically, they just had to look good enough from a distance.
It’s funny, I replayed HL2 in VR a few months ago, and thinking back, that scene is just breathtaking. It gives me chills and a rush of adrenaline. You can really feel everything Gordon went through to get here, to the top of the Citadel. The fact that the music kicks in right after Alyx’s dialogue makes it all clear, no need for anything more. Honestly, keep it up, thank you.
My favorite part of Breen's rant when you get into the portal chamber is when he says you'll be destroyed in every way it's possible to be destroyed AND a few which are "effectively impossible"

I always loved the idle animation of the supercharged gravity gun being in rhythmic sync in the little charged jerks it makes when descending in the elevator "Warning: 3 minutes to singularity"

This one is really good. Great job! Btw where did this Gordon model came from? Its very well done, especially the face. Its not from hl:alyx i can tell and it looks very close to the hl2 promo art, which is the best depiction of him, imo.
It's a heavily modified version fo the hl2 survivor and hla gordon model made by Brusstrigger with some assistance from THG and I. You can find it on the Half-Life: Alyx workshop

That animation with camera going in through the back of the head to give control to the player in first person reminds me of Perfect Dark for the N64
With the music i was getting the feeling to lock in rather then sadness
