I started having bible study at work on my lunch break to ensure that God gets some of my time EVERYDAY. And it is doing tremendous wonders on my mental health!
do you recomend any books or bibles or ways to study i feel like im losing faith and i hate the dark place im in at the moment the idea of studying at work is a fantastic idea i just need some guidance.
I pray to have a job with people who’d want to do this! I hope I get an hour break 😂😂

I agree. One of the best ways to grow in your spirituality is to be honest with God. When we are honest with God, then God can give us the signs and answers that we seek. He can create the way and opportunities for us to walk through.

@@mandirobertson8793 hey there Mandi. 👋🏾 It’s a Christian concept.
The “flesh” is generally referred to as the nature in each of us that makes us act contrary to God’s Spirit and standards. The “flesh” is what usually feels most natural for us to operate in especially if you’ve lived very long without Christ.
And so to say “kill your flesh”, it refers to the conscious, daily act to subdue that nature, not purely by our own efforts or ability but aided by the Holy Spirit in us.
IIt’s every-time we say ‘no’ to doing things we know God won’t be pleased with us doing, and also every-time we say yes to doing things we know delights God, our Father.
So “kill your flesh, don’t beat yourself up” ultimately means daily live by the Spirit, but should you mess up or fall, don’t condemn yourself to guilt and shame because the scriptures teach us that there is grace when we fall and grace to not fall again all because of Christ.

Just what I needed to hear. 😭 Not going to lie, I keep on sinning & continually asking God for forgiveness. When I stumble, I always get frustrated that I gave in. I'm even embarrassed to say what I'm struggling with.
don't be embarrassed or feel condemned. We've all sinned and also struggled with stuff that we keep going back to but the thing is that you want to make a change and that what really matters. 🥰

I think stumbling will always happen because we do have to consistently deny our flesh and that can be exhausting. But what has worked for me is evaluating what l learnt about myself after stumbling yet again and only tweak one thing and be vulnerable with God about my struggles instead of promising to do better next time
The fact that you always acknowledge you’re suffering is a major win. At least you recognize you can’t do this on your own🙏🏾
came at the right time as I finally committing to turn to God for the first time!
I noticed that the evil one is trying to scare me and take over me but that’s when I realized I needed God at that moment! I realized how much I had become independent and ignorant and now I’m ready to let him in my heart and heal me and clean me. He is here with me and now I just need to raise my strength! I pray for everyone who is on their spiritual journey and those who are afraid, I am fighting everyday because I will not let bad vibes stop me from getting closer to God. We are in this together for we are the children of God. Let him guide us to a path of love and power. Amen. 🙏🏽

Last night my meditation was about this "my faith being fit !".I have started my fitness and muscle gain journey one year ago and learnt soooo much from it. Finally, to realize that faith is also a muscle I need to grow and maintain. So what I did was to assemble all my fitness healthy hacks and tips to grow muscle and find the équivalence in my faith. This includes, consistency, target exercices, REST, coaching, good balanced nutrition etc...
We have to be strategic and smart with our faith, know her better to treat her better.
What a blessing to have this type of révélation from God ❤️🙏🏾

The best thing I did for myself this year was earnestly seek a church that prioritizes doing community right. I visited like 10 churches in my area. Almost settled at one but knew in my heart it wasn't right so after a few months I started the search again and found somewhere that feels like it will be my place. I'm so excited for 2023 because of it.
This is part of my delay, finding a church I see doing what I believe aligns with God, not enough are doing the outreach I believe a church is meant to do. After all he came for the sinners.

God is working on me and I see what he has done for me but I feel like I’m not doing this Christian journey right.
1.i pray everyday, I pray when I’m anxious or overthinking.
2.i talk to god like a friend I tell him about my day and how am I feeling.
3.I sometimes would read my proverbs but I didn’t write nothing down sometimes and now I’m just gonna read a bible story and take notes.
4.i spend time with him every night and sometimes when I’m babysitting or on the road I can’t do my Bible study.
I’m not gonna lie I do have trouble with sin like masterbating and cussing. And I’m trying to do those things and it’s hard. But the point is am I doing something wrong because I’m still learning about this Christian journey.
Also I know he can hear me pray but I sometimes feel like it’s to working sometimes.
Being open and honest with God and yourself is the best way to start ❤ “… in spirit and in truth”
Lol, I made my 2023 vision board this morning! Never made one before, but one of the first things on there was to get closer to God. I’ve created a daily Bible habit at this point, but looking to go deeper.

This is the journey I am currently on but I am yet to find a group/church that I see myself getting baptized at. I know there is no church that can get me in their doors every Sunday but I want the right hands to bless me when I am ready.

sadly many of the churches i’ve found are queerphobic, ableist, sexist, classist, etc. it’s hard to find a supportive christian community as an aroace Black woman, and i certainly don’t want to perpetuate and support an entity that criticizes and harms communities in the name of Jesus
I think we are having the same problem. Finding a church that we feel is here doing God's work and not just condemning

I know Putting my input is late but I’ve had toxic Christians in my family and I want to build a relationship with god in my own way and I’ve struggled with this because when I think of god from what my family tells me about god makes me feel like what I believe is okay and what I feel is right is wrong because it says it in the Bible. And instead of trying to hear what I have to say or just listen to what I have to say I get shut down and get lectured about the Bible’s teachings and what my beliefs are on sexuality and gender identity is wrong. I do listen to them an I do try to disrespect when they discuss this, but when I try to tell them what I think I end up feeling disrespected and in turn I end up be disrespected because I feel like I’m willing to listen to them why ain’t they willing to listen to me… sorry I went on a whole spill on this I just want to get a positive out look on god for my self not from anyone else.
