Stevie Nicks wrote "Stand Back" as an answer to Prince's song "Little Red Covert" and Steve Nicks called Prince and explained the reason of the song. She asked him a collaboration by playing the guitar. She said to him the she will give 50% of royalty if the song becomes a hit but he did not replay a word to her about money. However, Prince arrived to the studio in 20 minutes and played for around one hour and a half and then left because he just enjoyed helping her out with this song. Boom the song was a hit and Prince was so pleased to contributed with it! I am a fan of both great artists and I listened to an interview with Stevie Nicks and she mentioned how this collabotation happened.
