Mark, I watched all your videos in the last couple of days - I appreciate all the input. I get an educator's discount so I can get an A74 for $2248 (arrived yesterday). So, you are looking at like a $50 difference! I was thinking of getting two cameras and had ordered, received, returned the Sony A6700 (though I liked it, was thinking about waiting for the Sony A7Cii). Now, I can keep the A74 and pre-order the A7Cii (I had owned the A7C and thought the grip wasn't quite right and the EVF was weak - both updated in the A6700 and the A7Cii). The only lenses I own are the Sony 24mm F1.4 GM and the Sony 200-600mm G OSS (I shoot birds) so I have room for any direction. I was thinking of keeping the A74 just because of the Sony 200-600 lens, but I could get two Sony A7Cii camera (get one of each!). What do you think? What other lenses if I stay full frame (was thinking Sigma 28-70, Tamron 28-75)? Thanks!
Robert, I have several GM lenses (including the 24 1.4) , and also have the Tamron 28-75, this lens is excellent and would be on the same level of the GM series. My favorite lenses (mostly family events and portraits) are: Sony 35 1.4, Sigma 50 1.4, Sony 135 1.8 (the best lens I've ever owned) and Sony 100-400 G (for sports). I shoot them with the A7IV, just ordered the A7CR to complete my set, they complement nicely (I think the new grip for the A7CII/CR will be a must when using large lenses), the CII with grip would be $2,350, the CR comes with the grip, so, price difference is $650, and you get better video at 4K P60 (1.1. top vs 1.5) and a ability to crop to your heart content, also, I tested extensively the A7RV. vs the A7IV and the IQ for portraits of the R sensor, in my opinion and observation, is a bit better than the A7IV
I love the A7iv so I am keeping mine as well. the a7cii or the r are great compliments. you have two great lenses. the sigma 28-70 or Tamron 28-75 are superb and you can’t go wrong there. of course there is the 24-70 GM II which is great but expensive. if you like shooting portraits, look at the 85 1.4 art from sigma. f you need wide for landscapes, the new 16-35 GM II is amazing
Lovely presentation and great work. I have one more question. In my country the a7c2 body cost 2950$ and the a74 only 2600$. Is it worth 350$ more ? Is the AF worth it? If you break down how much camera you getting per dollar witch one would you go for?
the fx3 is much much better in low light. not only is the full frame sensor better in lowlight, the dual base iso it has at 12,800 is unbeatable. the fx30 isn’t bad in low light, it’s just the fx3 is phenomenal
Thanks for sharing your comparison, I will definitely be keeping my A7IV. I just wish Sony would add that Custom User LUTs feature with a firmware update, I'm pretty sure it's possible!?
Love you and the channel. I notice perceptible differences in color tones shadows etc. is it possible that some settings weren’t accounted for? I’m trying to get a system to record RUclips videos for my students and sports as well as travel and photo. Zv-e1 Fx30 A7c ii A6700 In contention. Any thoughts doc?
Im just worried that the A7CII doesn't have 2 card slots. Thats my only worry. I really want all the new ai stuff and importable luts but there isn't a sony camera thats like the a7iv with that new stuff yet. Do you think it'll be safe to use the Sony A7CII at weddings and stuff with one card slot? Can you set the creators app to backup photos to your phone in real time?
you can’t really backup in real time to the creators app because it’s very slow. I’d rather get the A7iv for weddings with the two card slots, and the AI autofocus won’t come into play as much with weddings. it’s big with tracking vehicles animals, and birds. With people, the A7iv is excellent. For LUTs, you’re usually looking at an external monitor anyway and you can load LUTS into those. The A7RV actually has ai features (but not the LUT loading). A lot of people don’t care and use the one card slot because it’s rare that something goes wrong. But personally, I couldn’t take that chance.
@@MarkBennettCameraCrisis Okay, thanks for the response! Yeah, I feel I can live without the AI stuff for now. Getting the Sony A7iv would probably be the smarter choice. Plus, I could always upgrade to the A7V once it comes out. You dah best!
Mark I love your videos!! I'm in the last stages of deciding what camera to buy, I'm leaving to Colombia in a couple weeks to try and create a cinematic travel documentary type thing haha. I've narrowed my choices down to the FX-30, A7IV, or the A7Cii. I'd love to see you compare the A7Cii to the FX-30 for cinematic video! Your camera comparisons are so detailed and helpful. Thank you!!
Hi Mark, This is Nick, from Sydney. I really enjoy your videos, and I have learned so many things from you. I jumped into photography two years ago as an amateur looking for some pro-quality work as a hobby rather than as a professional. I currently have the Sony ZV-E10 with four APS-C lenses (Sony E 11mm f/1.8, Sony E 70-350mm f/4.5-6.3 G, Sigma 18-50mm f/2.8, and Sigma 16mm f/1.4). I am thinking of upgrading to either the Sony A6700 or the Sony A7C II, so I would love to see a video comparing those two cameras. I am wondering if you could make such a video or at least give me your thoughts about it. Keep doing such a good job. 👍
Debating between a7c II or a7 IV I don’t care about cII only having one sd card slot. Which do you think would be best in the long run to grow into it (amateur skill right now) will use for photography and video
Great video! Do you think you could do a comparison video like this between the a6700 and a7Cii? I know a lot of the technology is the same, but I think there are enough differences between APSC and full frame to warrant it. Thanks!
Agreed, I'm real tempted to get an A7Cii/A7CR instead of a6700 and I like Sony's crop lens lineup better! Mark Galer reported that the a6700 sensor is the exact same as the A7CR sensor just cropped (so all other performance should be the same)
Idk if the A7C II has the mode dial as the A7 IV with the photo and video modes with the more options of setting custom things for different "styles" i would call it. If the A7C II has not the same dial than thats another avantage of the A7 IV in my opionon
looks like both have the same capability to save 3 photo settings, 3 video and 3 SQ , I use them always in my A7IV and it is the greatest option of these cameras
A74 might go for 40 minutes at 4k60 before shutting down. Then when you press record again another 20minutes then 5 minutes each time with battery door open. I just saw it happen with fashion show that was a long one. That’s why I bought the fx30 but stupidly brought the iv because I had still job a couple hours after fashion show and didn’t want to bring 2 cameras. It definitely shuts down on 4k60
Moving from APS-C to FF I am on the fence between building A7IV or A7C Il, I love compact size but bigger size is good for grip and stabilising also looks more professional. Would my best option to get A7C lI and buy a battery grip so it gets bulkier similar to A7IV and I can remove it anytime for travel ? Btw I will use prime lenses with it mostly for most bokeh
@@MarkBennettCameraCrisis thanks for the response! Do you feel like you’re “missing out” with the AI autofocus not being on the A7iv? I’ve got to buy one or the other soon and it’s a tough decision, haha!
I don't really feel I'm missing out on the autofocus with what I shoot. But if I did a lot of animal and sports shooting, then I'd probably get the a7cii
When you do the A7Cii/A7CR vs a6700 comparison, please do a solid comparison of the two viewfinders! Not just specs but also preference/usability; they look different to my eye, but nobody has covered it aside from disappointment that it's not as upgraded as hoped
Does the new A7CII allow for an eyecup on the EVF? I saw that the old one did not. You had to buy a 3rd party one that slid into the hot shoe. Would like it to be like A6700 but am guessing it doesn’t allow the silicone eyecup to slide on
Hi Mark ! First I would like to thank you for all yours videos ! You help me choose the Sony ZV-E10 which is a great camera, I love it ! But as I'm a streamer, I always wanted to do 4k60p stream with a good camera ( hoping I can lol ). The thing is, I heard about overheating and I do 6-8h stream. And at 30 degres, I was wondering if both camera would take it. And the A7IV was my first choice because of it’s versability ( I also love photography ) and I want something thay can do all of that ! The thing is, autofocus is something I like because on low light, the ZV-E10 can loose it sometimes. I was wondering for streaming is where a real difference between the A7IV and the A7C II ? Or should I go with something else ? I'm so confused as there's planty of camera ahah. Thank you for your reponse !
For 8 hrs of 4k60 - the best thing to go with is the fX30 (or FX3 if it’s in the budget). An A7Cii or an A7IV “might” be able to do it - but it’s asking a lot. If you get a Ulanzi cooling fan the A7Cii and A7IV are more viable options. Another possibility is a used A7SIII. That is still a great photo camera even at 12 mp and it won’t overheat in 4k60
Dear Mark, this is the first comparison that answered for me a very important thing. The eye tracking or tracking feedback in general during clear image zoom, that the A74 does not. So, could you please answer another important thing : because the A74 does not offer active steady in 1080 Full HD 120fps. Also breathing comp. is only supported up to 60 fps. It does not breathing comp by using 1080 / 120fps. Can the A7cII handle active steady & breathing comp. up to 120fps (1080 HD) thanks❤
I really want the a7c ii but I am in New Orleans and it gets hot and humid here and I don’t know how that’ll affect the overheating issues. I don’t shoot in long clips, but I shoot as I walk around inside and outside places.
it just means that sometimes when lenses are wide open (ex f1.4) first curtain shutter can cause bokeh balls to be cut in half with a slow sensor. So you will be fine with this camera as it has a fast sensor
@@MarkBennettCameraCrisis Is there any reason why Sony would elect to use this with the A7cii instead of being able to shoot mechanical up to 1/8000 like you can on the A7iv?
OK Mark, I wasn't really in the market for the A7Cii, buuuut....... you've pushed me over the edge of the cliff I was going to jump off of anyway, and just hit the "Pre-Order" button at B&H (using your affiliate link of course). Here's where YOU come in; When asked by my friends, "Gee Tom, why did you go and buy the new Sony?" I just show them your video and comment about how handsome the guy in the video is and then, Yep THEN........they understand. Seriously though, thanks again for all you do and, yes, I kinda knew I was going to get the Cii anyway. Now, where did I leave my apple juice?
awesome review and comparison. I think Sony is confusing the heck out of everybody with that many bodies and not enough firmware upgrades. On top of that, there are more headaches from Canon and Nikon as all have similar bodies. I want to upgrade my camera and leaning towards the A7IV, Really like the 33mp sensor and Dual Card, but The headache is A7CII with the new tracking. Canon R6II and the new Nikon ZF is super nice with at least dual card slots. Why Sony, Why? Sony seems to always disappointing with many lacking features that can be put in. Anyway. sorry for the long comment. would it be possible to make a comparison of the R6II, Nikon Zf and A7CII?
I give you some advice. If you want to buy a7 iv, buy it. Trust me, you will not have regrets. In general, the sony cameras, especially their software is well done and robust so rarely you need an upgrade. A7 iv is a killer like some nikon and canon cameras. But if you want sony, go ahead, buy some nice samyang or sigma cheaper lenses and shoot. You will have fun. Don't think too much about the gear. A7 iv is already a great and powerful camera. I did have the sony a7 iii and oh boy, i miss that camera so much because of all the things I managed to create. I would buy the a7 iii again😅😅. So a7 iv is even better.....easy choice.
Most probably it’s because of a different noise algorithm. The FX3 vs a7s3 has the same. On the FX3 it also results in a bit more noise, but also keeps a lot more details visible, whereas on the a7S3 the noise reduction is much more aggressive and a lot of details are lost. I guess Sony also tweaked the noise algorithm/noise reduction to be less aggressive on the a7cii compared to the a7IV
if you run the gyro-data through catalyst prepare or gyroflow, yes. But these two cameras have workable rolling shutter. if you’re really concerned about it, just use apsc crop mode - rolling shutter is much better that way
Where is the A6700. I'm sure it can kick both FF camera's ass. Just kidding. But the a6700 is also one of the new kids on the block. BTW. When going aps-c mode on the A74 and CII, you are using a smaller portion of the FF sensor and that makes sense when it comes to rolling shutter. One thing I'd like Master Mark to check out and make a video on is the improvement in the sensor in the a6700 and how it is getting closer to the FF sensors in all aspects. You are right, this is exciting time, but there is one issue, $$$$. One more thing, the A74 is now badly in need of an update as the CII and a6700 outclass it in the autofocus area. That is the one area I love, the ability to follow planes, trains and automobiles, animals and insects. I can almost do without many other features in lieu of the Ai autofocus. And as many have said, no one has suffered from an SD card failure. My Nikon F2A did fine as I could load only one roll of film in the body.
Could you explain when/why you would want a full size HDMI vs the micro HDMI? I was also wondering when/why you would use 1/8000 vs 1/4000 shutter and the difference between mechanical vs electronic shutter mode trying to decide between the two cameras as a beginner who only wants to buy once, cry once interested in portrait photography and possibly stock photography thank you for this helpful comparison
Honestly - you can't do wrong with either. The HDMI full size is for hooking up external monitors (usually for video). It's more reliable and less chance of breaking. You would use 1/8000 mechanical shutter when it's really bright outside because sometimes 1/4000 won't be enough. You can do that with electronic, but that might be an issue if it's a fast moving subject like a car (because you can get rolling shutter). With portraits it shouldn't matter much. I think you'll likely be better off with the A7C II because it has the latest tech, better autofocus, and is a bit cheaper. You probably won't mind the HDMI and you won't need the 2 card slots.
Hi Mark, do you really need the Joystick for a7cII or its fine without it? Thats the only thing I am confused with. I am good with a7cII but with the a7iv compared with a7cii im really confused. My plan is to travel around and do more of a video thing. Weight won’t matter to me as well. So 300$ difference today which a7iv is much expensive which one would you recommend for me?
Hey, can someone that owns the A7Cii tell me what MB size ranges the 3 Lossless Compressed sizes are when it comes to brackets? Could someone fire a quick test? Shoot 3 brackets 2 stops apart with the Lossless Compressed L, M, and S and tell me those numbers?
Were you able to do a test of the overheating while using a monitoring app connected to the camera via wifi? I know my A7IV overheats after about 30 mins if I'm monitoring with an iPad.
So....basically you're saying A7Cii is better, since most of the A7IV advantages can be replaced (2 cards: just record on Ninja, Full size HDMI: just get adapter on cage micro to full HDMI, Joystick, extra buttons: just more clicks on A7Cii) while the advantages of A7Cii can't be replaced like Auto focus, better IBIS, updated touch screen, USB-C streaming, cheaper, lighter, etc.
the a7iv has some advantages in terms of performance with a higher mechanical shutter speed (1/8000) and a higher flash sync speed. But of course a better EVF is nice too and you can't replace two card slots with a ninja v for photos.
A7cii not support type A memory card. But All-i bit rate 600mb... which card best for cii ? I am little bit confused about a7iv or a7cii. Basically I am a wedding photographer. My need both photography and Cinematography.
If you want to do video only, then I guess ZV-E1 is a better choice. You get same sensor as a7S2, you get Product showcase functionality. But, if you consider shooting pictures as well, then a7C2 is the one. You get EVF, you get metal body (ZV-E1 is plastic) and it do video well too.
I really notice the problem with a5 C ii in video low light. Obviously, no one will use the 100k iso but you can clearly see that from 32k the a7 iv has cleaner image and less of that green look that sony is trying to get rid of for years. In my experience I will rather have a cooler image cause its easy to edit rather than that green look on the skin. Nightmare in edit😂😂
Now the real question, is it worth upgrading from the A7C to the 2? That's the real question here. Or, do I go with the ZV-E1 and run both cameras for different reasons?!
Is there a focus problem in a7c2 with samyang lenses and other third party lenses.. i just sold my a74 for a7c2 and just came across a video saying a7c2 has focus problem with samyang lenses…
I was just so happy with the announcement of a7c2 coz it was a74 with ai chip and uploading luts option… and not after watching that video i m just not sure of my decision although i lve already given away my a74… do you think it was a good idea? I used to have a very hard time shooting in slog3 without the preview of actual look…
Seems like there is only three reasons to buy m4. Storage redundancy for production use. Mechanical shutter/sync speed for production flash photography. Existence of used units
I am debating between the two. I want both small body and 2 card slots. If I do lot of 4k 60fps, can a7iv handle dual recording no issue? Or does it overheat too soon
4k 60fps is a lot of stress on SD card. Very fast write speed if you use All-I codec, which would be 600mbps. I would not trust one card slot to handle it, because I am afraid not a lot of SD cards can live that long to support such speeds without failure (locking card writes with file corruption). Therefor Dual SD card will save you. If you use less intense codec, then one card slot could be "ok".
This was a great breakdown of differences and similarities. I appreciate the quick tests to show image quality is identical (as it expected), and the detailed time stamps in the video.

If you break down how much camera you getting per dollar witch one would you go for?
no - I would get the a74
Thank you Mark, like to know your opinion on low light performance comparison between FX30 and FX3 .
the fx3 is much much better in low light. not only is the full frame sensor better in lowlight, the dual base iso it has at 12,800 is unbeatable. the fx30 isn’t bad in low light, it’s just the fx3 is phenomenal
Love your videos keep up the great work !!!
Thanks for sharing your comparison, I will definitely be keeping my A7IV. I just wish Sony would add that Custom User LUTs feature with a firmware update, I'm pretty sure it's possible!?
I’d like that too
Almost all features of 7C2 are software. Sony will never add them to older models.
Nope I dont think gonna happen, sony will make it A7V instead
@reyhanrahadian You're right, they sure will!
Love you and the channel. I notice perceptible differences in color tones shadows etc. is it possible that some settings weren’t accounted for?
I’m trying to get a system to record RUclips videos for my students and sports as well as travel and photo.
Zv-e1
Fx30
A7c ii
A6700
In contention. Any thoughts doc?
I think the a7cii would be best for what you want,
Thanks for this really helpful
Thank you!!
if you are in US, the CII will not be available until late Sept, at least at B&H site
that video is on the way
@MarkBennettCameraCrisis Thanks mate! By the way, your style is amazing ;)
AH! I was looking at the A6700 later this fall - now wondering which would be the better investment? Still have my eye on the FX30 (I'm a video guy).
Debating between a7c II or a7 IV
I don’t care about cII only having one sd card slot.
Which do you think would be best in the long run to grow into it (amateur skill right now) will use for photography and video
if you don’t mind the one card slot, I would get the a7cii
@@MarkBennettCameraCrisis thanks
Great review! It would be good to also see a full screen A/B alongside your side-by-side comparisons.
Noted!
Great video! Do you think you could do a comparison video like this between the a6700 and a7Cii? I know a lot of the technology is the same, but I think there are enough differences between APSC and full frame to warrant it. Thanks!
On the way
Agreed, I'm real tempted to get an A7Cii/A7CR instead of a6700 and I like Sony's crop lens lineup better!
Mark Galer reported that the a6700 sensor is the exact same as the A7CR sensor just cropped (so all other performance should be the same)
Idk if the A7C II has the mode dial as the A7 IV with the photo and video modes with the more options of setting custom things for different "styles" i would call it. If the A7C II has not the same dial than thats another avantage of the A7 IV in my opionon
looks like both have the same capability to save 3 photo settings, 3 video and 3 SQ , I use them always in my A7IV and it is the greatest option of these cameras
which one do you think is more suitable for shooing video of Motorcycle movement?
A74 might go for 40 minutes at 4k60 before shutting down. Then when you press record again another 20minutes then 5 minutes each time with battery door open. I just saw it happen with fashion show that was a long one. That’s why I bought the fx30 but stupidly brought the iv because I had still job a couple hours after fashion show and didn’t want to bring 2 cameras. It definitely shuts down on 4k60
very helpful, thank you
Moving from APS-C to FF I am on the fence between building A7IV or A7C Il, I love compact size but bigger size is good for grip and stabilising also looks more professional. Would my best option to get A7C lI and buy a battery grip so it gets bulkier similar to A7IV and I can remove it anytime for travel ? Btw I will use prime lenses with it mostly for most bokeh
All specs aside, do you gravitate to one or the other to just pick and go shoot?
Probably the A7IV - for photos - I like the bigger EVF and for video I like the full size HDMI
Not just specs but also preference/usability; they look different to my eye, but nobody has covered it aside from disappointment that it's not as upgraded as hoped
they are essentially the same. 2.36 million dot and the magnification is .71 (35mm equiv) on the a6700 vs .70 on the a7cii
Thanks, must just look different in pictures then!
How about an A7C II vs ZVE1 comparo too?!
Thanks for another solid video!
Will the new 16-35 gmII be the BEST VLOG lens for full frame?
Does the new A7CII allow for an eyecup on the EVF? I saw that the old one did not. You had to buy a 3rd party one that slid into the hot shoe. Would like it to be like A6700 but am guessing it doesn’t allow the silicone eyecup to slide on
Thanks for your video 👍
@@MarkBennettCameraCrisis thank you so much for your answer !
Not a big fan of the A7IV mechanical shutter sound. Is it the same in the A7C II or did they change it?
Dear Mark, this is the first comparison that answered for me a very important thing. The eye tracking or tracking feedback in general during clear image zoom, that the A74 does not. So, could you please answer another important thing : because the A74 does not offer active steady in 1080 Full HD 120fps. Also breathing comp. is only supported up to 60 fps. It does not breathing comp by using 1080 / 120fps. Can the A7cII handle active steady & breathing comp. up to 120fps (1080 HD) thanks❤
I had to give the camera back, but as far as I know you still won’t get active stabilization in 120 or focus breathing comp
How does the cII compare to the 7IV with big lenses. Is the 7CII okay in handling while using a 70-200 or even 200-600?
Yeah - it's fine. Its grip is still decent and with big lenses like that, you support by holding the lens anyway.
I really want the a7c ii but I am in New Orleans and it gets hot and humid here and I don’t know how that’ll affect the overheating issues. I don’t shoot in long clips, but I shoot as I walk around inside and outside places.
you should be fine with the a7cii - especially if you don’t shoot long clips. just make sure the internal temp is set to high
hi, can you use the lot for the hdmi output?? and in video mode the A7c2 cant do 1/8000??
The silver look different from the original a7c or I'm just imagining..?
Hi Thierry
The battery for sony zv e1 does it work good?
Can you do a comparison between the a7c2 vs a7s3?
Will you do A7C II vs A6700?
Yes indeed
I see a difference in color and sharpness which confused me since they’re the same sensor? Any insight ?
I’m reading that the EFS (electronic first shutter) affects the quality of bokeh. Can you test that?
it just means that sometimes when lenses are wide open (ex f1.4) first curtain shutter can cause bokeh balls to be cut in half with a slow sensor. So you will be fine with this camera as it has a fast sensor
@@MarkBennettCameraCrisis Is there any reason why Sony would elect to use this with the A7cii instead of being able to shoot mechanical up to 1/8000 like you can on the A7iv?
Any issues with the weight of the a7cII on a tripod with heavy lens?
all the really big lenses have collars for tripods and and A7CII is fine with everything
🤣🤣thanks for thinking of me!!
is the frame buffer difference between the two very noticeable ?
Buen trabajo 👍
awesome review and comparison.
I don't understand why the low light performance is worse on the C2 when its the same sensor
Hi Mark, can one compensate the rolling shutter in post production? Thx!!😊
if you run the gyro-data through catalyst prepare or gyroflow, yes. But these two cameras have workable rolling shutter. if you’re really concerned about it, just use apsc crop mode - rolling shutter is much better that way
@@MarkBennettCameraCrisis Thank you!
Please make a Vlogger perspective comparison of zve1 and Sony A7c ii
on the way - but overall, the zv-e1 will be better
@@MarkBennettCameraCrisis thanks bro, do u prefer 11mm on zve1 for daily travel
vlogs?
I was also wondering when/why you would use 1/8000 vs 1/4000 shutter and the difference between mechanical vs electronic shutter mode
trying to decide between the two cameras as a beginner who only wants to buy once, cry once
interested in portrait photography and possibly stock photography
thank you for this helpful comparison
Which one is better to get a7c 2 for 2200$ or lumix s5 2?
That was a great and informative comparison. I know i did the right thing by subscribing.
yes - this was the right thing 😃
Hey, can someone that owns the A7Cii tell me what MB size ranges the 3 Lossless Compressed sizes are when it comes to brackets?
Could someone fire a quick test? Shoot 3 brackets 2 stops apart with the Lossless Compressed L, M, and S and tell me those numbers?
Is there a delay after clicking? Screen going black?
Were you able to do a test of the overheating while using a monitoring app connected to the camera via wifi? I know my A7IV overheats after about 30 mins if I'm monitoring with an iPad.
I didn’t do it with Wi-Fi monitoring, no, so I can’t be sure
I just want focus bracketing on the a7iv maybe those 7 stops of ibis too its the same hardware
My need both photography and Cinematography.
get a Sony tough G card
Can you do a comparison between Zv-e1 and a7c2 for video? They are the same price and hard to decide which one to get for video.
17/10/2023 II stayed with the a73 and waited for the a7v
I really notice the problem with a5 C ii in video low light. Obviously, no one will use the 100k iso but you can clearly see that from 32k the a7 iv has cleaner image and less of that green look that sony is trying to get rid of for years. In my experience I will rather have a cooler image cause its easy to edit rather than that green look on the skin. Nightmare in edit😂😂
And you look like Christopher Nolan ❤️
Buen contenido 👍
Espectacular 👍
Gran palabra aprendo mucho con tigo
Now the real question, is it worth upgrading from the A7C to the 2? That's the real question here. Or, do I go with the ZV-E1 and run both cameras for different reasons?!
oh - that’s tough. if you don’t plan to shoot log footage, it would be probably best to use your A7C and have the zv-e1 for 4k120 and stabilization
Is there a focus problem in a7c2 with samyang lenses and other third party lenses.. i just sold my a74 for a7c2 and just came across a video saying a7c2 has focus problem with samyang lenses…
haven’t heard anything like that. But sometimes 3rd party lenses need an update every now and again with newer cameras
I was just so happy with the announcement of a7c2 coz it was a74 with ai chip and uploading luts option… and not after watching that video i m just not sure of my decision although i lve already given away my a74… do you think it was a good idea? I used to have a very hard time shooting in slog3 without the preview of actual look…
does A7CR grip extension fit the a6700 ??? 🤔
Im very unsure which to be because of the efcs. Can someone help me?
Seems like there is only three reasons to buy m4.
Storage redundancy for production use.
Mechanical shutter/sync speed for production flash photography.
Existence of used units
yes - also full size HDMI and better evf, more buttons and bigger grip (if you want that)
3:08 i don't know why but the footage from the A7iv looks much cleaner in low light situation
Yup. Much better on the A7iv. A7iv is better than the FX3 and A7SIII on iso below 12,800.
@@kifley19 right? but why does a7iv has better low light performance over the a7cii which has exactlly the same sensor?
I am debating between the two. I want both small body and 2 card slots. If I do lot of 4k 60fps, can a7iv handle dual recording no issue? Or does it overheat too soon
4k 60fps is a lot of stress on SD card. Very fast write speed if you use All-I codec, which would be 600mbps. I would not trust one card slot to handle it, because I am afraid not a lot of SD cards can live that long to support such speeds without failure (locking card writes with file corruption). Therefor Dual SD card will save you. If you use less intense codec, then one card slot could be "ok".
@olegvorkunov5400 thanks for the detail. So just to confirm even recording at such high data, dual recording would be handled by a7iv?
@@dandaan yes. I use it time to time and always have redundant mode enabled. I shot in all-i codec.
@olegvorkunov5400 good to know, thank you for this. 🫡🫡
I should get a7iv and put in one cf express and one sd card
