I like you guys, but the Focus Izalco Max Disc should've won and is personally the bike I would choose. I think Bianchi make great bikes but they're just TOO expensive. I ride Giant, but the focus is a marvel!
+adriboff1 It was a close one. If value and speed are your priorities then the Focus is an incredible option. The Bianchi is definitely our winner in this category though.
Can you please explain how a light bike is skittish? Shouldn't the reduction of a couple of lbs be negligible once you add on the weight of the rider? I am a 200 lb guy and am thinking of getting the supersix evo that was also one of the finalists.
Love the Bike, always love the Bianchi Celeste Green. Still at $18000 CDN plus just can't justify the price is almost as much as my car. I know I can get frame and fork for around $7000 plus CDN but would put 105 groupset and a cheap wheelset on it? Is it the complete bike that marvel or the frame set?
+Jarvis120899 Cycling Plus' Bike of the Year is always road bikes but we have What Mountain Bike's Trail Bike of the Year starting very soon so stay tuned!
Amer Muratovic Hey: I'm running a 9 speed and if I had the money I'd get a Chinese carbon and 105 and be a happy camper! Though if I really had money I'd be run Sram e tap and a nice Ridley frameset.
The Wandering Albatross I have both 5800 105 and 6800 Ultegra mech, and there isn't much difference between them. The brake calipers are a little smoother on the Ultegra, but shifting is near identical. Properly setup, I doubt anyone could tell a difference in a blind test on shifting. If you buy the polymer coated brake cables for the 105 (as it only comes with stainless cables for brakes), then you really don't notice any difference. IMO, 105 is the absolute bargain of the century for cycling kit considering how cheap it is too. Even if Ultegra was competitively priced, I would put off buying it at this point because the next generation of Dura-Ace/Ultegra is probably a year or so away. Also if I was going to buy Ultegra again, it would be strictly for DI2, not mechanical. I can't even fathom if Shimano ever comes out with 105 DI2.
Beautiful workmanship - love the way the Specilisima looks and the way it works.
Great super bike choice ! I completely agree with you on this steed for this year

It's as if you're saying "I love Coca-Cola, I would chose Sprite, Fanta appeals to me, I'll order a 7-Up but Schweppes tastes like a marvel" :-)
Awesome video. Always love the way Warren explains bike stuff.
I love the bike. £2750+ is not factually incorrect BUT the MSRP is $14,0000!!!! :) I will start saving money right now. Maybe one day!
Don't know about the bike, but I can vouch for Vittoria making some damn good tires
Thank you for this awesome review and video of your Bike of the Year - Super Bike category. It is truly a very Specialissima forever bike.
Next will be Specialized Bianchialissima
+CJL999 Nicely done! We lol'ed.

Is there any road bike with disc brakes among any of the winners ?
How would you compare it to the Cannondale SuperSix Evo which claims the same performance at half the price?

Bianchi says they use Countervail technology but the Chinese don't know how to make frames that way yet.

If I'm paying that much, it needs EPS.
+thechosendude It only comes in Super record EPS or Di2 $14,000 vs $12,500 USD
+The Wandering Albatross eps is good but not proven yet

Lovely bike, but the color is not for me.
+Brian Moore get a black one - or any other color; Bianchi offers the frame color and graphics color to your choice
A lovely idea, but i have to admit that it is well beyond my means.
is he using toe straps whilst riding that thing wtf....
+lionreza I Think they're shoes straps.
+lionreza He's wearing Giro Prolight SLX shoes.
First person.like this haha

that bike looks so boring i imagine that the mágic is in the handling not in the look
+Brian Ongay Arenas At least no won would want to steal it.
Wow, what does a beautiful bike look like to you guys? Classic color, classic look. classic bike!

How so, could you be a little more specific?
Don't no why, but I despise the Bianchi green I just hate it. I need something more vibrant.
