Willshine is good to introduce passcode to new listeners. Specter is when the OG passcode fans really miss. I really like both song for different feel they give us. Specter becoming my favorite song

Specter is my preferred song of the two as well. WILLSHINE was written as the OP for the second season of the anime SHY. They are also going to be releasing another single in December named SKILLAWAKE with the title track as another anime OP. That anime is an adaptation of a isekai LN so the title is a full sentence. Makes it hard for me to actually remember the full title. These are happening because PassCode moved to Moood Records over the last year due to their UMJ label manager moving there. Moood Records was created by Bandai Namco so their anime division didn't have to license songs for every anime they produce. This paragraph will be all speculation on my part since I haven't seen it in any interviews. To me WILLSHINE and Specter are great contrasts in how Koji Hirachi writes songs deliberately for and as a product and how he writes music naturally. The commodity song still has his signature on it but it's held back pretty hard. He can get closer with songs like Ray, Starry Sky, and MYTH but they always sound a bit off compared to what he naturally writes for PassCode/DayLight Seasons. The only time he broke this trend was Ichika Bachika but that was due to it being a cover and him most likely wanting to put PassCode's full stamp on it.
@@react-o-mat There's a reason that metal festival organizers invite them to perform alongside the heavy hitters of Maximum the Hormone, SiM, and Fear, and Loathing. They even aren't first any longer. 🤭 From what I've seen Hanabie might be joining them soon in that regard depending on how Hanabie's upcoming domestic tour goes.

They seem to do pretty well for themselves with all these projects! (and anime always seems like a safe way to get a lot of people's attention 😉👍)
