Bro I’m really loving this video. I’m not very mechanically inclined but you were able to explain everything in a way that made sense to me. Keep up the great videos man, you’re awesome.
This vid helped me a ton with my cts intake on my m550i 20’. The guide that comes with it is horrible. I have never even changed a tire or did a oil change but I installed this style of intake with no problem. Proud of myself. Shout out to the speed shop that told me to come back in 2 days because I was 15 minutes late
Nice I’m gonna need that. I lucked up and got me 2020 m5 with a jb4 and downpipes installed from the dealer with a full warranty. I was originally going back in forth between a m3 comp and a m550i. Ordered the m550i and then found the m5.
@@cw2840 yup they know. It was part of my reason for going ahead with the purchase. I even made them document everything cause I just don’t trust dealers. I purchased the warranty from the dealership. I was gonna do all those thing to my m550i but warranty would’ve possibly been voided. So it when they said I was covered I jumped on it.
James, the reason why you were struggling with the air intake was because the support brace was in place. If you had place the coupler onto the silicone then put the brace on the intake would not have given you so much problem to fit. IMO.
My F90 is a monster...runs 10.4 on the street with semi-worn tires and 90 degree weather. All in all I spent $400 on downpipes and Tune since the 2018 model year isn't DME locked and I was able to flash E30 Stage 2 from MHD. For the intake, I just removed the carbon pre filter and put K&N drop ins.
@@superchargedlifestyle5484 Just limit the torque. The motor is good for high horsepower. Also, if you aren't using 5w-50 already, do it. I've saved a lot of N63s and S63s from oil consumption and bearing wear with this weight oil and 5k mile oil changes. The F90 seems to not have many rod failures like the F10.
Should've installed the Aluminum coupler ontu the silicon hose first using silicon spray to lube it up, then install the whole thing as 1 unit ontu the turbo inlet.
I got a set of BMS for my n63, I might get a secondary pair of intakes and have these as the primary ones. I messed up applying the vibration pads and the metallic charge pipes got sanded down from hitting the brackets. I may get these ones since the kit comes with a heat shield as well
Just a chill dude sharing his love for cars! Gotta love that! Keep it up!
Thanks!!

@@WhatsyourForte nope no codes at all and man does she run. It my first bmw coming from a charger redeye and it’s a big difference.
Damn does the dealership even know it’s modded 🤣🤣. How did they give u a warranty?

@@cw2840 they told me it was tuned and had a downpipe. I thought with was the ecu didn’t know it was a jb4

Yeah I tired to do it that way on the other side and it would not fit correctly. Next time I will use some lube

I want to tune mine I’m just nervous about the rods I hear horror stories

@@wickedpistonracing hmm I was literally about to order the 0w30 genuine oil kit but I should try what your saying
@@wickedpistonracing Do you have a link to which one I should get

They sound great.
Thanks
Sounds 💥🔥🔥
Thanks man

Yeah definitely more than one way to do it and you would have more room that way.
🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀
It has begun!!!! 😂
swoooosh sounds good Bro
Thanks bro
I like the fact of the heat Shield have you noticed any difference in performance
Not really but they sound good
is that stock exhaust popping like that ? Man sounds nasty, wish you much success brotha
Yes the stock Comp Exhaust sounds nasty!!!

💪🏽
How much HP did you lose after installing these??
None
How were iat in traffic and during pulls compared to oem boxes?
I did not monitor that
Hey J, will this intake affect warranty when you bring it in to the BMW dealership?
They just did warranty work on my car with this intake on. No issues or questions
A video idea can be a night time POV video of you cruising around
Yeah I definitely want to do that
Why not front mount intakes ?
Wanted to try these as they are brand new. Just trying different options for owners.
How about the heat temp do you find it runs better? I want to run on my my M6 but concerned about air flow into the intakes?
If you do the front inlets you will be fine. The M6 would have different intakes tho.
I’m pretty sure these won’t fit 2020+ m550is right… unless..?
So which is better your M3 or M5?
For me the M5
First in the world!
🥇
Will they fit m850i G14?
These will not fit but the CTS turbo ones will fit
Man I got a 2022. Can’t tune it anywhere near me. Sucks.
Yeah you will need to get the DME unlocked first. That is why I went with an older M5 so I can tune.
Do they have these for the m8’s?
Yep. The intakes for the M5 and M8 are the same. For my research they even fit the M550 and M850 also
Let’s go for 1000 hp lol
👍🏾👍🏾
I am thinking about it
Cara , vc é sem jeito demais, kkkkkk.
It was just a tough fit 😆
Bmw come stock with good power at the end of the day all bmw look alike so whats the point spending money on then
This is not a power mod really. More for sound and looks. People mod cars for different reasons.
Where is your shop located?
I did this in my garage, but my main shop is EuroMpire in Monroe, NC
