Imagine leaving the game at halftime thinking it was over
Yup; that's what I did. Came back to check things out at the end of the 3rd though; so I was pretty happy I didn't miss the entire thing.
Like the chargers did?
Damn, if you leave a game at halftime you deserve to miss this experience. Those tickets were expensive as hell too
Hope you wouldn't be crazy enough to leave a playoff game before at least the end of the 3rd...
The whole row in front of us left during the 2nd quarter, it’s a shame cus they were season ticket holders too

All this just for the Chiefs to walk it in to the AFC Championship game. Cool story for the Jags tho unless they pull some Bengals fluke type run.

That game was insane. One of the best of the year, I couldn't believe he threw 4 picks but am more impressed by how they didn't let it get to them and quit.
There was a quote that the broadcast showed Trevor Lawrence's quote about being mentally prepared is more important than the physical preparation. People all over the internet were laughing at that quote all through the first half, but it aged like a fine wine when the 4th quarter ended
that's the thing, the moment you throw in the towel is the moment things can get really messy, once you go back into your shell, that is when you can get yourself into a world of trouble, I have witnessed it myself in different sporting codes.

Same, best game I’ve been to in general
If you watched the game from the start, you could tell what would happen. This felt a lot like the Falcons/Patriots superbowl in a sense where the score was less lopsided than it seemed. The Chargers were lucky to score what they did. Without the field position in the first half, they might not even score 10. Week 3 is a little more like how this game felt. The Jags are just a better team right now. Look forward to both teams being in the thick of it for future seasons.
Agree, plus, I kept thinking about how Herbert wasn't playing very well at all- in the first half. A lot of missed opportunities to do even more than the 27-0 the defense gifted him. Add that Joey Bosa is an idiot.
I told some guy before halftime that anything is possible and he was a chargers fan so he was super optimistic about his team. So glad that man learned his lesson and guarantee he will not talk to me again.

I was like......"should I even watch this game?" Especially at halftime! I ended up watching the second half and it was amazing!
Something I find interesting is that it was a different person every time.
Engram, Marvin, Zay, Kirk, and Patterson, not to mention Etienne's clutch 4th and 1 conversion and Lawrence, the O-Line, and the defense balling out. They needed the whole team for this win.
Trevor really showed what he got by coming back during the 2nd half.
I agree. He is here to stay for as long as he stays healthy long-term. He took some hard hits in this game, but he's gonna learn to not take those kinds of hits later on. I've liked him since even before his Clemson days and I am a Crimson Tide fan. He is a game-changing player. Generational? Maybe. Future HOFer? Also, After this, I don't want to hype him too much, but I really feel like this is just an amazing display of Trevor's mental toughness and leadership abilities coming through.
4 Tds 4 different receivers great times!!
When it was 24-0 and Herbert kept overthrowing big time in the end zone, I wondered if he would end up regretting it. He let off the gas for that one moment, and it almost looked like he felt sorry for them and was cool with the 3 points and with all the big comebacks recently it made me think he could regret it later on.

DUUUVALLLLL
Those 5 yards Etienne stiff armed for at the end of that run to set up the FG literally saved the game. Field goal just barely managed to squeak in….5 yards back and that crushes the upright dead on with the stiff arm
As soon as I saw the Chargers up 27 with a lot of time left, I knew a chokejob was incoming
How the chargers lost:
1. Joey bosa
2. Refs but it’s not really a reason
3. Missed FG
4. Staley
5. Punting on the JAX 38
6. 4 drives in 2nd half with only 3 points
What they did right:
Force 5 turnovers
Didn’t turn it over
What I don’t understand:
How the fuck do you blow a 27-0 lead when you get 5 turnovers and you didn’t turn it over
Because after they were up 27-0 they just did nothing but try to burn clock w/crappy run plays… They tried to play it safe instead of playing to win a playoff game
Bro the refs were BLATANTLY trying to give the chargers the game. 2 blown pass interference calls in the end zone. Trevor’s second pick was due to illegal contact downfield, and a huge blown call where the refs didn’t call a dropped ball when it was on the ground in front of their faces.
If the refs were competent the jags would’ve blown out the chargers tonight.
Refs???
Lmao
@randomrandomnesss I agree that overall the refs were on the take for LA tonight. They missed at least 5 PI calls. But there were still some questionable calls they went the Jaguars way
I didn’t have the opportunity to watch this game until the 4th quarter, but when I saw on ESPN looking at how the game went seeing it was 27-0 at one point I was thinking to myself, “Wow, they were down that much?” I caught the score at 30-20 but even just watching the 4th quarter and seeing how they rallied (really the tail end of it), just that ending portion of the game was something I’ll never forget watching on TV, with the heart that the Jaguars played with. In a way that missed false start might’ve been a ref compensation for missing the illegal contact beforehand. I remember when I saw the bad ending of a comeback like this when the Chiefs were up 28 points against the Colts and I was cheering for Kansas City to win (Patriots fan, never liked the Colts even though I’ve lived in Indiana most of my life and lived in Indianapolis the last 5 years) and how livid I was at Kansas City for blowing that game. I hope eventually the NFL has an upload of this entire game as well as the Vikings comeback against the Colts earlier this season.
Doug Pederson seems to be THE "quarterback whisperer" . . . . . he did it in Philly, as well.
Dougie P just working his magic 🤷♂️ miss him here in Philly
I knew when they scored before the half they had a chance. Seen the Chargers collapse too many times.
The crazy part is how bad the refs were in favor of the Chargers. If the refs were competent, Trevor would only have 3 picks and we would’ve had even more points on the board.
Look, the chargers grab, interfere, and hold WRs on every play... and the refs barely call it. Its so bad charger fans get MAD when the refs call obvious PI and holds.
Been like that for 2 years. "Hold on every play and dare the refs to call it" approach.
