I love your channel. When I lived in Pittsburgh, I had 8 bikes in the basement. I once found a Felt F80 with double tap handle bars. The bike was in a dumpster.
Yeah because he probably worked at a factory making bikes for companies that outsource labor from poor countries. And sell it to you as some fancy brand.
watching this was painful, touched the rotors with bare hands and didnt grease or use building paste for the peddles, bottom bracket, but i have to say the bike looks amazing
Man I don't know how sturdy the bike is and how long it would last... but it's crazy how you welded it and changed it up completely.... looks great too
Usually you see people removing the paint, and all that.. But this dude literally rewelded his own frame tubes! The geometry of the bike is a little bit...off,since you've mounted a mtb fork on a what is supposed to be a gravel bike,so the front of the bike is way to much "up" and the whole bike is affected by that fork! But,i just LOVE the slender look of the steel tubing!😊 Kudos! Fantastic work!😊 Greetings from Croatia 😎

Really wished he would have shown the designing & welding the rear disc brake mount, the reason I clicked on video. But glad something headed for the scrap heap ended up being a useable bike.
Good job, but I think that the fork is a mtb one. Way too long. Look at the frame geometry of the assembled bike. Too slack seat angle. You should have used a road / ciclocross fork.
Good work although I can see two problems, the geometry of the bike can make it uncomfortable, the seat tube is very diagonal, this may be because the fork has too much vertical tolerance, modifying all the angles of the frame, bb too high with respect to the ground and the distance from bb to the tip of the saddle Change the fork and it will be a good machine
nice.. my inspiration. After watching a few videos from this channel I was finally able to restore some bikes which I thought the results were satisfactory
That’s a sweet build dude, I’m a fan of the conversations(the top tube and the disc brake mounts). The only thing is the angle of the seat tube is really slack, you might be able to make it a little bit steeper with a different fork, maybe one with more rake or a shorter axel to crown or both lol.
Neat results! Just one tip: you may want to find a fork with some offset. You can't really find a shorter rigid fork and due to the steep head angle, you seem to be riding quite high. Maybe use a matching steel fork?
He completely restored the frame, converted it from a step through, put disc brake mounts and painted it. He didn’t restore all the components but I don’t think those components would look that good on the “new” frame anyway. It’s a retro/modern build.
