Puma SGB Buffalo Hunter: All-Around Awesomeness?

- Blade made in Germany, assembled in China, looks like a budget version of the famous White Hunter. Puma says its their best seller. Is it a good utility option? Is it a good martial option? And what makes the "best" martial knife?
Shout-out to Jorge Prina: Keep doing what you're doing!

I have both the Puma White Hunter and the Buffalo Hunter and they're both very good knives. The White Hunter I bought was back in the early 70s when I was in Vietnam and carried through two tours, the Buffalo Hunter a good friend of mine got it for me as a gift. I would like to say thank you for your review on this knife.
That's good information! Thanks!
Puma are the best 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Another great review, of a knife that I have been thinking about for quite some time. So thanks !
I have been collecting Cold Steel for many years, and more recently the Spanish made Knife Brands. Muela, Joker, and Cudeman. I have spent way to much, way to fast lol....
But, the Buffalo Hunter has caught my eye. I'd prefer a full guard, vs. the half guard, and perhaps a little heavier. Yes, I like a well built, heavier knife. As you showed with the SR1 Lite, it may be called lite, but it is heavy duty.
Thanks again !
Por como hizo las pruebas me suscribo . Fueron las más originales que ví , por qué las pensó como lo haría un artista marcial ...
You have inspired me to buy some really good knives. I wanna thank you very much and the producer of the knives.
I'm glad I could give you some useful information!
Michael, I liked your review! I was pleasantly surprised because you carry one of my favorite folder. The Cold Steel Large Espada G10.
And the XL along with it at times. I really like the Espada L and Voyager XLs, but the Espada leans a bit more toward martial while the Voyagers a little more toward utility. I'll be putting up a comparison series soon.
Mr .Rizzo love the reviews , you should look into extrema ratio knives . Great blades .
Michael, you should check out the Linder Arkansas Toothpick. Good sized bowie with stag handle. Great videos! Im basing my decision to buy a fighting bowie off them.
Interesting blade...
Hi Mike. Just discovered your channel a little while back. I'll say up front I think you do a great job and deserve more subs and views. And yes I am now a subscriber. Your reviews of Puma knives peaked my interest, so I purchased one. I was looking for a fighting knife and ran across this. Puma IP Catcher Olive Wood (Double Edged Blade) Spanish Made Hunting Knife with Leather Sheath. They call it a hunting knife but if this 10 .5 inch blade is not a fighting knife I'll eat your hat. Double edged with top and bottom guards. Weighs exactly one pound. If you find one to review, I think your viewers would enjoy it. Happy Holidays to you and yours!!!!
Thanks! Sounds like the Joker Jabali or the Odenwolf Sow Catcher. Like that bayonet-shaped Chamois I reviewed, they call them "hunting knives" but only in the sense of being an actual pig sticker. (So, a dagger with good edges. Or maybe a way to justify owning one in a restricted country?) There are a few knives in their IP line I'd love to check out! Happy Holidays!
Yeah I went a little nuts for Christmas . I also ordered a Puma IP Longhorn, Stag Fixed Blade Knife. It actually is a hunting knife , has a 9.5 inch drop point blade . Weighs about 1.25 pounds. Heah!! it was on sale, (I told my wife), LoL. I Should get them both next week....Cant wait!!!
Great video bro i mentioned you in a video im uploading now
Thanks man!
Michael, will you be able to create a video regarding comparison of the best overall swords on a budget, which is neither Medieval nor typical katanas. Something of a sort from APOC/Honshu more modern design?! Which is made of high quality steel, sharp and can take abuse...?! Thank you and keep up with the great content...
Now that I have the SGB Bowie for reference, I know for sure that the grip of this SGB Buffalo Hunter is too short for my hands.😅
Yup, my hand just barely fits.
I own a few pumas and condo knives for the price both brands of super
I live in Kentucky, carrying a fixed blade knife is no problem. Thanks again for your review. Have you ever reviewed the Cold Steel XL Espada in G10?
The L and XL G10 Espada reviews are in process.
Regarding large martial knives, what do you think of the so-called Khyber knives? Cold Steel recently started producing such a blade, and judging by the video on their channel, it looks quite decent. I've always been interested in this weapon.
That one did catch my eye. I'll probably try to pick one up as they become more available. Kind of like the large Facon, but even bigger.
I very dumbly gave my SGB bowie away.
It is a nice knife.
