  • I purchased a ribbon blender from China and had it delivered to NZ. The quality was less than what I had hoped for, but I made a few modifications and feel it works pretty well now. I use this to mix my mushroom substrate prior to bagging it. In this video I am mixing 50% soy hull and 50% soft wood pellets with a touch of gypsum.
I chose this over an autobagger as I felt it gives you better options to trial different mushroom substrates. An auto bagger might be quicker, but it locks you into a very specific set of substrates.
The water meter is one of the best items you can have for preparing substrate. It automatically measures out a set amount of water so you just turn it on and let it flow!
