This tank holds 0.11 GIGAJOULES of heat!

This is my home made steam sterilizing tank for preparing mushroom substrate. It's used to kill a large percentage of living organisms within mushroom substrate so the mushroom mycelium can colonize the substrate without competition. To do this I add energy into the tank via steam, which heats the tank up. When you have a very large amount of substrate in the tank, it can take a very long time! When full this tank can hold over 110 megajoule, or .11 gigajoule of heat energy.You can calculate how long it's going to take to heat up with the calculations shown in the video.
