Cold Casting Bronze Sign with Real Metal Powder

Bronze powder is added to Smooth-Cast ONYX FAST urethane resin to create a realistic metal casting at a fraction of the cost. After a design is milled from a CNC router, Mold Max 14NV silicone is used to make a quick, durable mold for this project.

That's RenShape, a machinable polyurethane foam board used in the rapid prototyping industry. Quite expensive but really handy and low wearing on the carving tools used. It's often used to make foundry patterns for steel or aluminum molds. Obo in Germany does a similar product, Obomodulan.

And it takes a patina too! Not a hot patina though obviously
