    Fun to watch as always Milo.
    Can you showcase and talk about some workshop tools and machines that are useful for mold making and casting in one of your videos?

    "Milo - Maker of Molds" - if that's not on his business card, it SHOULD be! It sounds so medieval. 😏
    Today's coincidence: a big ol' brick of Plastilina arrived at my house.
    Best wishes from Vermont ❄️

      Thank you for your kind words! I agree, "Milo - Maker of Molds" does have a medieval ring to it. Best wishes to you too!

    Great video. What's the best way to keep bubbles forming in the face coat?

    • @smoothon
      @smoothon  4 месяца назад

      Typically you don't get bubbles because the face coat is brushed into the mold. Brushing helps to break any bubbles that might be present from the mixing process. Talcum powder always helps to break any surface tension and will allow the resin to flow easier in the mold.

    I would like to see links to the components you use in the video description. I would happily purchase and replicate what you do, and I think beginners like me would do the same

    What material did you make the silicone containment box?

    • @smoothon

      Hi, Thanks for watching. The mold box is made from foam core boards. You can purchase it online from a number of different places. We use it because it is easy to cut and is inexpensive.

    Why use Smooth Cast instead of something like Duo Matrix Neo? What are the pros and cons of each for cold casting?

    • @smoothon
      @smoothon  29 дней назад

      Thanks for watching. Both materials will produce a fantastic cold casting! It will depend on what you are looking for. Neo will be heavier in weight than Smooth-Cast 325 will. Smooth-Cast allows us the ability to back fill the casting with a much lighter weight material. Neo gives a very nice finish because it is a gypsum. So it will depend what you are looking for.
