Reverie and Immolation of Night are a special duo in IA's discography. Their softest and the heaviest, right next to each other on one album. Honestly after the genuine powerhouse of a song False Meridian, Reverie was a joyful pallete cleanser before getting thrown into the abyss of Immolation of Night. The flow is more apparent if you had done a full album reaction in one go. It's easy to write off Reverie but it was a song they were very nervous about releasing, as it's the first of its kind and is experimental for them. I love it, personally. When you have been a fan of this band for nearly a decade, Reverie being their only song in this style gave me quite a pause, so for a newer fan its impact in IA's discography definitely wont hit you the same. Looking forward to Immolation of Night!
I love the mid-album break for this beauty before all hell breaks loose. I never skip this track. Listening to one track at a time is different than listening to the entire album front to back, though.

This song only makes sense for me if I’m listening the the whole album back to back. It’s really just an interlude, and that’s what I think they were going for in terms of its place on the album

I absolutely adore this song, such a nice change of pace before breaking right back into the chaos

This is the perfect break from the chaos in the middle of the album

Yes, this song is just a "pallet cleanser" if you're listening to full album. Get ready for the next one tho hahah. Might be too fast for you lmao xD
