They are the absolute masters of space in their breakdowns. They have this way of making things just sound HUGE and ambient, while also aggressive. It's amazing

I’ve been checking my feed for this one daily lol. Invent are really good at creating fun rhythms and they manipulate space and timing super well. The staple they are known for though is just the combo of crushingly heavy emotional riffs accompanied by beautiful ambient synths and guitar leads.
Their naming conventions are amongst my favorite in music today. So good ❤

This album is amazing.
False Meridian, Void Surfacing and Elysium are the standout tracks on this album in my opinion.

Another metalcore band you have to check out that are similar to invent animate is currents, their new album came out recently and is a 10/10 too. Loathe is by far the most underrated metalcore band imo their unique shoegaze style is amazing check out Two way mirror, a sad cartoon and is it really you. An awesome korean band theyre not metalcore but more like jazz rock called Parannoul is amazing too.

A lot of their song "grow" on you and get better with every listen for sure because there's a lot going on in them.
This songs good but there's definitely better on this album.
Im quite worried because this song personally is weakest song in the album imo. Glad u enjoy it. Now theres nothing to be worried about. Trust me, next track shade astray and the rest is so fucking good. The "blanket of lightness " that u mention is caused by the ambience clean electric guitar at the back throughout the entire song. I fking love that shit. It gives nice chill ambience even when the vocal going crazy. You will still find alot of this in most of other song!
No way. Reverie is definitely the weakest, all other tracks including this are bangers.
This is my first time listening to this band like yourself. I like the style and build ups/breakdowns. In my opinion, this is where a good engineer is badly missed. The mix is pretty bad to me, the vocals sound like they're in a different room to the mix, and the whole bottom end sound is very detached from the pads and guitars, miles away from the vocals that are eq'd out of everything. Listen just my opinion. But a decent band. Love the honest reactions! 👌🏻
This band newest album is a direct competition to a band named " currents" with their newest album. Try give that a shot. The mix for these 2 album is totally different. IA was crisp and currents a bit more defined low end. Kinda muddy almost. Maybe you will like currents more
