You guys were spot-on about why Mr. 2 doesn't have a partner. His full code name is "Mr. 2 Bon Clay" (bon kurei), which is a reference to Obon, one of the most important festivals in Japan, meant to honor the dead. So he follows both the male and female naming conventions for Baroque Works.

Lord, the end of Drum Kingdom is so epic. The cherry blossom snow, Vivi in the flashback, Ace in Alabasta, freaking Gol D. Roger all at once.

On another note... the Alabasta arc is coming, and goddamn, it is one of the best arcs in the entire series. Definitely top 5, a truly 10/10 arc. Cannot wait to see you guys react to it.
fun fact:all the officer agents (1-5) partners are named after holidays like miss valentine, and mr.2 is also called "bon clay" which is also a holiday(he is both since he is an okama).

Nah, no need to be afraid saying it. Haha Bon Chan is an Okama, a queer person, so he's both a man and a woman. Oda was so ahead of his time because it's rare to see a queer person in anime, especially during this era, early 2000s. Representation y'all.

Always loved how basically the first 100 episodes of OP , are mostly substance over style . About world building and emotional backstories over battles . Even if in fact they did have those in spades . Now you're in for a treat , as the epicness and stakes will keep ramping up in canon arcs , while keeping the sense of adventures and the emotions . Btw , while i'll never really recommend them , OP's filler are rather surprisingly decent . I believe you already skipped one of the worst , around ep 60 .

croco-mom theory doesnt make sense, but if ur saying women-before croco, sure, except for the fact that "-chan" albeit not as often, can also be used to refer to guys. its more of an affectionate, cutesy add-on rather than a super specific gender one. same with "-kun"
