I am a Covid survivor from 2021. I addition, I was recently diagnosed with Lipidema, Stage 3, with early stages of Lymphedema. Ever since Covid last year I have experienced shortness of breath when I do light exercise. So, I purchased & am using The Breather as shown here. After about 4 wks. Of doing the recommended excercises, I can feel great improvement with the breathlessness. Also, this little tool has helped me with the diaphragmatic breathing exercises that are suggested in the aid of lymphatic drainage. Thank you for introducing me to this little tool!
These look great for anyone!
People, regardless if you get this neat device or not, practice deep breathing, the physical and mental health benefits are endless.
You two are so wonderful. You have relieved so much pain and suffering.
Thank you for sharing this information. I was doing the exercises that they did on another video but I feel that I accomplish more with this device as it allows me to adjust the resistance. Even though it is costly, I feel that I will recoup that quite easily.
I got Covid and a bronchial infection in December, had breathing problems, got this tool, after two weeks doing much better
Thanks for this video! This pretty cool device helps in lowering blood pressure and improves sleep as well.
Buy one of these babies TODAY if you have breathing issues. Not only is my 5 week cough almost gone but the rest of my body is getting oxygen with my airways opening….therefore more energy. Awesome help and do easy.
Hey, you guys are terrific! I've been following for a few months now and your videos have been great! Thank you
Thank you Bob and Brad 🌸🌸🌸🌸
I purchased this to help lower my blood pressure. I watched a video on The Breather Channel and they talked about breathing from the diaphragm but never explained how to do it. Thank you for showing me and explaining in such simple and effective terms. Now I thoroughly understand.
Did it lower your blood pressure?
what's the update? still using it? Lower BP?
Visiting this video in 2021 for covid times and giving advice to folks with a cough. Thanks for this great information that applies to so many situations.
Thank you. I was just hospitalized for very high blood pressure-206-so I’ve been put in a medication. I saw this device and thought I’d add it to the med to see if it helps. It certainly can’t hurt. And it may help with other breathing difficulties. Here’s to hope!
Did it help you lower your BP?
I have an AirPhysio and have seen a huge change on my phelgm and snoring. These kind of devices are great!
"This is Simba from Lion King. Brad didn't know that either."
Thank you, Bob & Brad!
I REALLY need this.
Have a GREAT day, Neighbor!
I follow you guys all the time! The information you both provide is great!
First thanks so much Bob and Brad for ALL your video's, I have learned SO much and turned a VERY painful bone on bone knee into painfree and functional with no surgery or drugs. But I do have to comment on this device. I bought one when you demonstrated it the first time and rec. it to a friend also, who bought one and is doing great with hers. When I worked my way up to level 4 exhale the device would block and not let air out without blowing your brains out. I could not deal with it, so emailed the company who had some one call at 6am our time (get me out of bed) and demand I go test it while on the phone, and try things to make it work, NOTHING would make it work. So they did act like it was 'my fault', but sent another one. The new one worked ok till today ai tried level 5 exhale and it is totally BLOCKED, no air can go through it. I can NOT deal with contacting this company again, I did NOTHING to this device but breathe through it (wash them as rec.). Maybe some people don't use them long enough to get to the higher levels and never know their device is not right, but I can't keep playing the game, I have a heart problem and other chronic probs and really don't have the time or energy to deal with this, so I have to say buyer BEWARE, hope you get a good device and it will work as promised. When it does work, it is great for developing your breathing.
This is so great! Igor one of this, and looking how to use it , I found your video and I really enjoyed how your plain step by step with that charisma
Thank you! I’ve had severe sleep apnea. I tried both the CPAP and BiPAP machines. Each time I did sleep studies and was compliant for over a year with each device. They were awful but I wanted to sleep. Finally, I gave up. I watched your video on Sleep Apnea and ordered The Breather. I watched the Pretty lady who was helpful, but I am grateful for your demonstration, your coaching on this is reminding folks this is extremely complicated and difficult but very valuable. I am disciplined but your video gave me insights with explanations of how long to inhale, etc. Thanks so much. Your gentle humor has helped me through Lymphedema, Bursitis in my shoulder, senior stretching, and now this! I’ve just used The Breather for the first time, but I believe it’s the answer to my prayers for better sleep. Someone told me to use a Didgeridoo which is frustratingly non-rewarding. After one use with The Breather, I feel hope! Thanks 🙏
Update? Did it work for your sleep apnea?
May be an answer to my prayers too. Cant wait to try it!
You guys are excellent- you helped me
Love you guys! I am sharing this video with my copd group. Thanks!!
I'm excited to find helpful exercises, being recently told I have the beginning of Emphysema. Thank you.
I'm so glad you made this video to inform us about this device! It would be great if insurance covered the cost. Thanks for the discount!
What about breathing through the nose with this? How does that not occur?
Thank you for your information guys.
We so appreciate you guys!
You don't need to buy a device. Just blowing out through pursed lips is enough pressure. If you need more, try blowing up a balloon several times in a row, 3 times a day.
The only problem with that is you’re only getting resistance when you exhale not inhale and when you inhale from the balloon, you’re inhaling the white powder that balloons are filled with, as well as the carbon monoxide which you exhale in the first place . In which case, blowing up a balloon does not work or compensate for this type of product .
I agree. I don’t know what that white powder is. I know it’s in balloons so the rubber doesn’t stick to itself but who knows what it is. You mentioned people produce carbon monoxide but it’s a tiny amount that’s measured in parts per million. Typical exhalations are comprised of approximately 78 percent nitrogen, 16 percent oxygen, 4 percent carbon dioxide and 0.09 percent argon, along with 3500 other chemicals.
After getting Covid my breathing was very diminished. My doctor had me do a breathing test and it was low. After using this breathing tool for 2 1/2 months I took another breathing test and my breathing increased 30-35%. The doctor was surprised at the difference and thought the first test was flawed. But I believe the improvement was due to using a device similar to the one in this video.
Carbon dioxide, not monoxide. lol.
You guys are legends.
I have been using mine 2x a day for over a week and already my oxygen is higher. It’s easier to use too. My lungs took a hit do to Covid in Sept 21 and since then things aren’t the same. Thanks for this.
Hello are you on copd inhaler scripted meds. Thanks
@@lydiawhitting5406 I use symbicort. I’ve also bought an itera wand and use it on my water. My oxygen now hits 100% daily. I still use symbicort and do the breathing exercises.
Weird thing is my oxygen is good yet I’m tight chested regular and the congestion phlem is horrendous I also have allergies it’s grim
Lot worse since COVID 2020 I think that’s how I got emphysema
@@crystalslade8056Look up Dr. Judy Mikovitz or Dr. Ardis as they recommend supplements to take to recover from long Covid. Also, Dr. Zelenko. I got CV19 and never had it long. I don’t eat sugar, gluten, food fillers, corn… I eat organic, bake with honey and almond flour. I’m on an SCD diet. Lugol’s Iodine is good, grapefruit seed extract… Good health books are The Iodine Crises, Sodium Bicarbonate: Nature’s Unique First Aid Remedy by Dr. Mark Sircus and he has an iodine book too, The Authoritative Guide to Grapefruit Seed Extract. Anyway, diet really matters.
When I used the Breather this morning, I used the app which I downloaded to my cell phone which seems to make it so much better then my guessing.
Thank you!
I💜you guys!
I gotta get this for my baby!
Interesting that my VA doctor hasn’t given me something like this. Especially since they love experimenting on us disabled veterans!
i bought one - using your link and saved $10. Thank you
Amazing u both of you ...your Indian fan 🇮🇳🙏
I wonder if this would also be good for someone that suffers from anxiety and panic attacks.
Wow - I can't believe I found your channel. I'm a survivor of breast cancer and have developed thickening in my lung where I had radiation treatments. Shortness of breath has been dreadful and you're spot on with it ruining my quality of life. I just ordered the Breather and I used your coupon - thanks for that. I can't wait to get it and get started. I will start on the diaphragmatic breathing exercises in the meantime. Thanks again for your help!
Hey how did you go using it?
Is it helpful
These guys are so adorable
How do you think this compares to the airofit? Thank you for making this video.
Great for my asthma ! Thanks
Okay, this was posted 4 yers ago, thank you. Are there updated methods 2023?
Good for him, Brad doesn't waste his name with senseless movies.
I just bought the breather and started using it today. I had COVID, Lung Cancer, Lobectomy and COPD. Yeah. I need help.
Has it helped
Yes it is helping. I've noticed a marked improvement. Another plus they put out a lot of RUclips instructional videos. @@crystalslade8056
Sorry this is not related to this video but I figured I'd get a response there's a lot of RUclipsrs don't answer questions on old videos. But I appreciate it if you can answer one question I watched a video on exercises for a herniated disc with sciatica pain which I have but I also have spondylolisthesis and you have another video saying not to do a specific exercise that pertains to herniated discs which is the McKenzie push up what do I do?
How does this compare to the AirPhysio? Thank you
Thanks Bob and Brad, my mom has COPD and i was looking for the device to reduce her symptoms. I have questions related to the difference between Airphysio (australia made) and Breather?
When do you use the smaller mouthpiece?
Brilliant breathing device, I use it everyday for 6 minutes none stop at a ratio of 5.5s inhaling then 5.5s exhaling .I block my nose using a nose clip.
Tbh, I find them extremely irritating cos they take forever getting to the point, a lot of play babble when their video can be half the time. However, am still grateful for their time and effort in helping people.
Where do I purchase this device?
@@josephmcgee8450 i got mine from Walmart online store for 14$ it is also on amazon
@@cicicici42 mine was $50 from the manufacture
@@josephmcgee8450 they have a link to it in the description of the video along with a coupon for 20% off. You can also buy it on Amazon, but you may as well use their link to get the discount
Hey I came from your “what is causing your shoulder pain? Test you can do yourself.” and I was wondering is it okay for my shoulder to pop for most of the test?
I don't smoke but I sure think I have this problem from using too much bleach. Feeling sad. Can this be fixed?
Thank you I ordered a Breather and used your coupon code
Great! It will help you, we are super sure of it!
Where can I get the best price? I've seen it anywhere from 25 to 60, but no idea who is reputable.
Will this be good for Asthma sufferers? I have a 10 year grandson we're trying to get him off his inhaler (steroids) and help with his breathing.
Can Emphysema patient use this?
Breathing in and out of a straw works as well.
I know someone who has moderate sleep apnea. Has anyone with sleep apnea seen any improvement?
HAAHAA!! This is like an SNL skit!
Hi guys . i got my results today n iam very scared.i need help.
So even tho your lungs are self healing, with copd they CANT regenerate? But you can strengthen the rib and lung muscles?
Good question....did u ever get an answer for it?
Can you say something about how this device compares to the AirPhysio? The latter seems to be about clearing out mucus. But they both seem to be pretty similar in how they work, so maybe they do the same thing.
Hi. I've got COPD and use both a Breather and an AirPhysio. The main differences are that the Breather uses resistance in both breathing in and breathing out which helps develop important muscles. The AirPhysio instead just creates a vibration that helps loosen mucus but doesn't do much for muscles. Both are very effective and have really improved my quality of life. I have noticed that the Breather helps bring up the ick also but I'm not sure why.
@@jillhowell4163 Because your using the muscles. I used to sing, it's the first thing I was taught...to use the diaphragm, while doing so. And yes it naturally brings up any junk in the lungs. 😊
What am I doing wrong, I keep belching after breathing even though my diaphragm is going out when I breath in. I also have IBS
Does this (along with backpod) help people with costochondritis?
Does it help with blood pressure?
where do you connect your O2 ???
Is this recommended to someone with a large hiatal hernia?
“My wife would miss yelling at me”😂😂😂
What does this device have to do with sleep apnea?
Those with COPD about how many times a week should one do it? Trying to help me dad
the breather, i just ordered one cuz i have mild asthma. and the whole pandemic thing ive been thinking about it for a few years. i want to be able to run without wheezing. i work out a lot but if i run down the street im wheezing for 10 minutes at least.
I'm guessing this would also help with asthma? Especially exercise induced asthma?
I tried to ask them a question about their voice version, but it doesn’t allow you to submit a question on their webpage
I have respiratory muscle weakness in my right chest. Can I still use this?
You may want to check with your Dr. first to be sure.
Where you from?
Where to order or buy the device?
I am in South Africa where can I order a airfit I do have very severe copd lung capacity is only 24 percent please help
Can this still be bought, and where??
lol that pillow was personal hhahaha
Sleeping at night is the only problem I have, when lying down, other than that I can do regular daily activities.
What about empysema?
Dose this help shallow breathing after long covid, I've always been a shallow breather but its got worse since after covid ,doctor said i don't breathe much through my nose much ,i tell him its just my skinny french nose 😂
How much does it cost and where do you get one? I watched at least half the video, and never saw a link.
It's way too much prwttle, and I really don't care if the spokeswoman looks like Sarah Jessica Parker ot not.
I feel like I know less now than when I started watching this video. lol
Where you get that where can you buy that
The link should be below the video. Brad
How does this compare with the breathing device that they give you at the hospital or does it? You know the one with the ball.
I was wondering that as well, I have one of those
The Breather offers resistance, thereby building / improving performance of respiratory muscles. A spirometer exercises these muscles as well but has no resistance, which is especially important when breathing out.
Reference citations would have been nice
Seems to me that Brad is just as knowledgeable but was corrected by Bob several times. I guess I noticed because someone is always telling me that I don't know much.
BPA FREE ? I emailed the manufacturer with this question regarding THE BREATHER, they failed to answer so I suspect it has BPA. That being the case I clearly don't want to suck on this device. Does anybody know ???

Does this help with sleep apnea?
Yes L&L, Bob said so in this video.
@@BreatherTV thank you.
Just do the wim hof breathing... for free.... its great !
At 50 bucks, I wouldn't say it's inexpensive.
Yep I wish it was made of metal for that price. It being cheap plastic makes it seem like they're taking advantage of people.
Plug your nose and breath through your mouth! I learned never to do that.
Fire breather:;
Don't watch till the 5:30 mark
Not an expensive in Canada $69
This is extremely over priced at $40. I found a spirometer was more beneficial.
Doesn't work makes you cough more and can potentially hurt your chest BAD
Coughing is good. It clears your airways.
i'm pretty sure the coughing means it's working, the mucus is getting loose and not stick to your lung.
I could sit on the washing machine it would be a lot cheaper..🤣🤣🤣 it's a load of "crap"
