Hey jojo, i made a comment early about a kangaroo farm from alex mobs that i'm having some trouble figuring it out. I'd really apreciate some help! Thanks 🙏
it has given me a very good idea for a cheap tree farm, just put the deployer somewhere above the back side of the chest and you can get like 4 to 8 trees automated.
I love how he turns a tree farm that requires a gear shaft, chest and a saw that can handle 25 trees at once into a 20 block high monstrosity of 45ish blocks of gears vacuums and hoppers...that can do a single tree.
ik everyone is kinda hating on the tree farm but me personally, I love it. The idea of a tree farm that looks a lil nicer and can be used in a line is great. The gap between the sapling deployer and the upwards chute even allow you to run a belt line to take what's in the chest (I would've swapped it for a vault if you're doing a belt line anyways) and store in it in a more central location. Imagine an entire pathway with these along the sides, nice scenic path lined with trees whilst also being functional! I'll definitely be using this in a forest base I have plans for.
So, something to explain when he talked about involving the cinder flour situation. Default Create doesn't add a recipe to make netherack. Various addon mods, Create Crafts and Additions having the recipe I like to use, will add recipes that can let netherack be automated. Crafts and Additions lets you automate netherack using cobblestone, lava, and cinder flour, which you can create a loop that lets you use the cinder flour you make to create more netherack, and you get a net gain of cinder flour.
theres also one in either Stuff and Additions or Dreams and Desires (i forgot what one) that spouts strength on cobblestone, i think thats what the commenter was talking about
@@TuxedoDogss there is that too from Stuff and Additions. I prefer the route of needing cinder flour, cobblestone, and lava myself, mostly because I always automate the cobblestone and lava in create with excess anyway.
extra points if that is the case because he chose the alphabetically first block with this icon in a 3rd party world editor (instead of worldedit mod for some reason) instead of the actual bricks
The tree farm can be made even smaller. Since you are using a mechanical arm you don’t need the chute fan this cutting out the entire bottom section except for the depot. And it removed the chain drives too. Also I just got deja vu
Can't you also place the deployer with its hand inside the saw and one storage and storage interface and file it all together? Then filter so that saplings stay in the storage and voila
it could even be made 1 block wide, tiled and faster as long as you have a bonemeal farm, since if you bonemeal a mature berry bush even with a deployer it just harvests it, meaning you can just use a fan to put the drops into a funnel.
That wasn't mud. That was compoast. That stuff can be turned into better farm plots for farming! O3O All you need is to make the organic compoast. Plant mushrooms around them, leave them near water (to speed up the process of them turning into their final stage), or just place a bunch of them down if you are fine with waiting. And then use them as you would with any crop farm.
You could actually do something really interesting with a minecart contraption for a tree farm. By using redstone signals, you can activate the contraption, which when stationary, it will still cut down the tree. Once the redstone signal is gone, it becomes blocks again, and you can even access the inventory when it isn't cutting down a tree. I am using this method for nether tree farms
yeah i was thinking about that too, could have that block detector thing filtered for whatever log and then the redstone signal would activate a mechanical piston or gantry, when the tree is gone redstone off, contraption goes back and items could go into a vault and you could filter from there
Not even as complicated as that. Redstone signal that has to go through a log is an easy enough detection method, and a stationary minecart contraption will harvest it
I certainly wouldn't mind a video on liquids and Create. Love your videos by the way, just recently started an ATM9 play through and your videos on Create helped so much; thank you!
Hello Fellow Humans, YES I am part of the 10% and got the secret ending. Blaze spawner. So you can use a mine cart to get one. So you don't need trains. But you can also just download the mod CarryOn and just pick it up. Make your life easier not harder. Unless you like making things overly complex and hard and waste your time. I love how overly complex the machines are even if they don't have to be. Dejojotheawesome is really smart and clearly thinks ten steps ahead but sometimes forgets to start simple first and make things less complex. He has amazing ideas and that's why I love watching him. He gives me amazing ideas.
I REALLY enjoy this long form video. I like that you're thinking it through out loud for us and it really gets the thinking juices flowing! Loved this. 😊
I swear to god, i'm trying make a kangaroo farm (alex mobs) for almost a month now. Yes this is a cry for help, i do want to make kangaroo burgers, but if you only make a way to breed and kill... i'm happy
Tips: the baby kangaroo can fit in a onextwo block space, and shoved with a fan. The adult one is one and a half blocks tall. The problem is that they jump. A lot. A have no idea how to automate the killing of only adult kangaroos
I really really really enjoyed this video! 😁 It was funny, entertaining and educational! The process of following along and seeing all of the mistakes and also the solutions was awesome! Obviously you are not trying to show the best and most efficient way to do things but just a simple and intuitive solution. I would appreciate individual videos showing perfected and more efficient solutions as a follow up to this video. This way we could learn more about more advanced ways of improving the designs as you progress in a playthrough. I also really like the idea of incorporating unique asthetic designs and movement regardless of its needlessness. For example a crop farm that is a contraption designed as a real life harvester. Or a lumber mill that has a water wheel for power or just moving decoration and a large moving saw blade. Not sure how to incorporate that in a functional way but it would look amazing! Anyways, great video! I always come to your channel for create mod tips and guides!
I definitely feel like I remember when nether warts first released they needed a low light level. Although I could be getting it confused with mushrooms?
For the Blaze Farm I'd personally recommend doing it the way we do in Vanilla, and at the end doing the Deployer thing, much cheaper as its literally just blocks, glass, and 1 deployer with the swords and you dont have to worry about moving them
The way I do blaze farms in Create is with the nozzle + encased fan combos. Basically, I have a nozzle on each corner of the ceiling with maxed RPM fans blowing downwards through them to push the blazes into the corners in the floor (I expected them to push them to the middle of the chamber, but apparently they work differently from expected lol). In the floor corners, I have belt systems that just funnel them into a central spot and then I kill them off either with the deployer or something better if the modpack has a mod for that :) It's admittedly kinda convoluted lol but it moves the blazes to the killing chamber really fast compared to most vanilla designs where you have to wait for the blazes to fall and stuff 😭
As someone who uses a lot of farmer's delight food: using a bowled FD food in a recipe typically does NOT always give the bowl back. Using it in the stove uses the item without returning the bowl.
For the blaze farm, you don't even need to use fans or anything, just 4 buckets of lava and 4 soul sand is enough lol. Mine a big pit enough to use 4 lava buckets at the corners and not have any spillage in the 2x2 hole in the middle. Have it, just enough to touch all sides of the 2x2 hole. Then mine it down, put hoppers, chests, etc. And in the killing chamber, use soul sand so that blazes fall on that and don't fly off with every hit from you. And that's basically it, pretty easy, right?
In addition to Central Kitchen, Slice & Dice also allows automation of cooking pot recipes, in its case by making them available to heated mixers. This of course has its pros and cons versus using the Central Kitchen method - you need to get your blaze burner heated, but on the other hand not needing a mechanical arm (as long as you can automatically fuel the burner some other way, like using deployers, or giving it a straw and pumping liquid fuel in) can be nice (especially if you don't have your precision mechanisms automated yet, since those are such a pain to make without a dedicated factory).
17:50 crops don't require water to grow in minecraft. Water just keeps farmland from drying out, but a wheat farm in the nether would be 100% possible.
Thats deactivated in vanilla create by default (was different in earlier versions). You can either change the configs to make this viable again, or use a train to do it the "official" way :)
Yeah, I tried doing that and it said something like "this contraption is bound by a mystical force" or something along those lines when I tried picking it up with a wrench.
The nether roof is the simplest, just use a ender pearl while looking at a block that is at 127, you can tell what position a block youre looking at is through f3 and i recommend apotheosis because its a whole rework of minecrafts most underrated systems including the god awful spawner limitations. Basically allowing you to create custom spawners like you should be able to

You can't pick up minecart contraptions if they are carrying something that cannot be collected even with Silk Touch. (i.e. Spawners, Budding Amethyst)
the tree farm isn't actually tileable, and that's purely because of the cog and mechanical arm however, it can easily be made tileable if only one mechanical arm is powered by a cog, and the rest are powered by the adjacent arms
For the blaze spawner it's easier with the minecart contraption because with the wrench you can pick up as an item. I don't know if it's possible in the last vesion.
I have a rudimentary iron farm set up with create, it tosses 4 gravel blocks at a time onto the floor between two washing fans. Need to try the waterlogged leaves though, if possible. Trap doors and iron bars work but take up more room.
Did you know that you can put a brass/andesite funnel and link it with a sufiskessite-something backpack and with 3 diamond stack upgrades and the backpack itself to diamond (or netherite) its just a vault you can get in to
My create farmers delight rice farm never needed any deployers. I dunno why yours needs to replant the grains for a new plant every harvest. I usually just have a line of harvesters attached to a gantry carriage moving along a gantry shaft back and forth over my rice paddy.
Could the Strength potion farm basin ( 47:31) have not initially worked because it already had three liquids or 2 result liquids in it? If so, could you have just made a filter for awkward potions and strength potions?
I have been struggling with an all in one gantry farm. Trying to farm everything that can be farmed via gantry on one gantry. I would love to see your take on it.
I would just do rows and make a super long contraption. So lets say you want to farm wheat and carots, have a line as long as you want of each and then make the gantry contraption that wide so it harvest both rows. Then you can just switch out harvester for saws or whatever you need
I would love to see a simple cobblemon create automated ultraball video theres literally only 2 videos ive found and both were really big an insane i feel like they were making it harder then it has to be
I maybe got a little carried away on the tree farm...
Yep

I feel using the belts for the one tile tree farm wouldn't be much of an issue. You can still tile if you are powering horizontally
If you suck from the top of a diagonal, then use a point lower you can effectively have it fall down one part of a chute system and go up another.

The light level on top of soul sand is always 0, even if you surround it with light, even in broad daylight in the overworld.
So I WAS right!
If you put azalea leaves as the floor instead of dirt and flowers, that should stop anything from spawning in there 😁😁
put mending on the sword with enchant industy
I know this video was a while ago but I think there is a farm noone is exactly talking about, a leaf farm. NOT tree farm, leaf farm
you could put unbreaking on your sword/knifes. bc villagers exist so just get a 1 emerald for unbreaking 3 villager
GUYS, WE GOT THE SECRET ENDING LESGOOOOO
My create farmers delight rice farm never needed any deployers.
I dunno why yours needs to replant the grains for a new plant every harvest.
I usually just have a line of harvesters attached to a gantry carriage moving along a gantry shaft back and forth over my rice paddy.
Just put the blaze spawner on a minecart contraption then pickup the minecart contraption and take it back through the portal. No need for a train.
i think on the hoglin farm you did nice work but try putting fire aspect on the knives
Brilliant! Thanks!
I have found when fans pull in air, they cause the item being processed to stay unprocessed
i was waiting for you to realize you didnt need to replant the rice XD
I would love to see a simple cobblemon create automated ultraball video theres literally only 2 videos ive found and both were really big an insane i feel like they were making it harder then it has to be
you can also move a spawner with a minecart assembler.
funny how he didnt notice the top "fan" of the gravel washing of his cobble all in one was a chain drive and not a fan
for the blaze farm, if you enchant the sword with mending will it repair if you do a xp shower on it?
Yay!
