I AM ABSOLUTELY ADDICTED TO THE DEAN MARTIN SHOWS. NOT ONLY DEAN WAS THE GREATEST SINGER OF HIS TIME, BEING AN EX MUSICIAN, 1950S ETC, I CANT GIVE THE UTMOST COMPLIMENTS TO THE MUSICAL ARRANGERS OF HIS SHOWS. I KNOW FOR A START, KEN LANE AND THEN OF LES BROWN AND HIS BAND OF RENOWN. KEN GIVES HE PIANO INTROS, AND THE THEN ORCHESTRA FOLLOW UPS COME IN, IN A GREAT AND GENTLE FOLLOW ON WHICH I THINK ARE BEAUTIFULLY BLENDED. WE DONT GET THAT TYPE OF MUSIC ANYMORE. THANKS DINO4EVER FOR BRINGING SUCH GREAT RECORDINGS TO MY COMPUTER SCREEN. I AM 85 YEARS OLD NOW, BUT DEANS SHOWS MAKE ME FEEL YEARS AND YEARS YOUNGER.
Walter Batch - Wow. I was born in 1979 and I was just thinking the same thing. The band on this show was amazing.
@@BJ-fr5ls how are you my man
Im now 85 and I can remember when tv had talent on stage, when musical arrangements had melody interesting chord changes and the volume level didn't have to hit 100 Desebles. What a shame.
What a treasure Barbara McNair was. Some of today's singers couldn't shine her shoes.
He still makes my heart ❤️ pound as if I were a teenager. He did that back then and I am now 74.
Barbara McNair was drop dead GORGEOUS!, That, smile, that gorgeous skin, and beautiful brown eyes.....just perfect!!
I agree! 💙💚💙💚💙
@@kadieliz My family had only one black & white set during the 60s & 70s. I thought she was gorgeous on the program. She was even more striking on magazines.
Super beautiful
@@c17nav Barbara McNair was on a game show for one week I think it was Password I fell in love with her seeing her that whole week ..ha ha ha
The first time I saw Barbara McNair was on an episode of “I Spy”. She guest starred with Don Rickles.
What a gorgeous woman. 🥰
“Night Train to Madrid”.
Love this man, he makes me smile every time I watch him!
same ^^
Desm Martin is so handsome
Where did they learn to dance?
The best entertainment in the world. It will never be forgotten.
People forget the great contribution Frank, Dean, Sammy and Jerry made to the to the Advancement of Equality in this country. Brilliant!!!!!
That is one awesome performance by Barbara McNair.
Fabulous. One doesn't see entertainers like him anymore.
Cyd Charisse was 46 when she did this show! WOW! Those legs and that outfit! Amazing!
+torres songs @torres songs
Is this what Barbara McNair shared with you about Cyd Charisse from being on this show? Did she ever got to share with you how it was on this episode, especially with Dean Martin?
I know earlier that year in June 1967, she ended up working at Lake Tahoe with Dean Martin's uncle Leonard Barr. I often wondered how that came about because I do not think very many people were aware of Dean's uncle. Dean seemed protective of his uncle and admired him a lot.
According to Lee Hale's DVD 2012 booklets and 2012 book, Barbara seemed to be one of Dean Martin's favorites....
Amazing. And husband Tony was just as amazing
YES AMAZING
I used to watch The Dean Martin Show in the very early 70s as a young boy with my Dad on Sunday nights here in Victoria, Australia. Having listened to a live recording of Dean, Frank & Sammy at The Sands in 1962 for a year or so, I decided to try to find some clips of Dean's show. What a privilege it is to watch these episodes in the evening now as a 60 year old man in Australia. Dean was the quintessentially complete performer. Unparalleled in show business. These shows are brilliant. Takes me back 50 years with those Sunday evenings with my musician Dad. Bless you, Dean.
Thank you for posting these shows that are just all pure class. There's very little class today and I'm in my 30s.
Thank you I grew up watching these shows I'm 62 now and they make me feel like a kid when I'm watching them . THANK YOU ❣️
Yes very little class .I really don't see many shows like Dean's show anymore .Its just talk shows with unfunny hosts like Jimmy Fallon
SNL comedy sketches are dumb .The one where they impersonate Christopher Walken is so so stupid and not at all funny..
I’m 18. You’re the one talking!
I watched this show every week with my dad. I miss those days.
Geez! Cyd was so beautiful, talented, and strong! What an aura she had!
When talent was for real.
I loved Dean back in the 60s as a kid, I love this man even more watching these old videos!
I love this. Dean dancing is unbelievable - cig always in hand.
Thanks to you I can finally check on the shows I missed while in Viet-Nam. Dino and The Rat Pack ...now that was entertainment!
Me--CV-34. I too did Vietnam battle. 60,000 plus died for a huge waste. That 60,000 doesn't include other countries. 8-30-2021
Wow! Jed Clampett. Singing and dancing. Who knew?
That has to be one of the coolest TV bits I've ever seen.
+NK R Uncle Jed was always a dancer. Don't you remember the soft shoe he used to do in the Beverly Hillbillies ? He danced with Shirley Temple. He also was the original Tin Man in the Wizard of Oz but, had to quit, the make-up almost killed him.
+Charles Wilson Peale
Amazing! The guy looks like he's about 7' tall in this bit.
+NK R Oh yeah Buddy Ebsen was a song and dance man from way back The first time I saw him dance in a movie from the 30s I thought how weird to see Barnaby Jones getting down.
@@nkr3637 Buddy was 6'3 or 6'4"" in his prime. Some sites say 6'3 some say 6'4" When he got real old I think he was maybe 5'10 or less. When he played in the Davey Crocket series in the 1950s with Fess Parker I thought he was short because he would look up standing next to Fess. Then I found out later Fess Parker was 6'6".
I lived Dean and Jerry together but i have to admit that Dean really came into his own and reallyt shined and in fact became a better singer and comedian as a solo artist
I’m always having a nice time watching his show plus filled with beautiful music. All guests are awesome in every episodes.
Such a great entertainer- Dean Martin. His music is so beautiful.
He’ll always be remembered.
I just discovered these shows and I'm crazy about them. Thanks uploader!
This is a rather rare (to home viewers) version of a TV show called the "edit master," complete except for network commercials, bumpers and network ID breaks. Once they were added, and passed review for content, audio/video quality and timing, it became the "air master reel," cleared for broadcast. The timing of the show indicated the hit times of the local station's "mid-break, usually 2 minutes at about 27 to 33 minutes into an hour show, where local commercial spots, public service spots, promotionals and station IDs were run....then, back to network.
Have you noticed the female singers, dancers and stars of the past eras, 40/50/60/70/80s do not appear to have botox enhancement to give them their glorious figures?????????
its great to see these shows for the first time thanks for showing, i was born 1968
You're quite welcome nantucketjeep :)
he could knit a sweater, split atoms or drive a bulldozer.......... & sing at the same time. I am so happy to find your channel. Many thanks :)) Cant say it enough
He could split atoms, but usually, he should not have driven anything. He drank more before noon than most people do in a week. And could still entertain thousands with a BAC that would have put most of us on the floor (or in the hospital). They don't make them like him anymore.
Bob Kidd That was all part of his act, it was usually apple juice in his cup. Seen it said many times in interviews by his closest friends, and even his own family. I'm sure there's a few instances though where he was on the juice lol.
Jed clampett sure can dance and sing. Craaazy
Never knew Uncle Jed could dance so well.
Buddy Epso
Buddy Epsen danced in old Shirley Temple movies he was a fantastic tap dancer ..as you can see here.
Thank you for the great shows. I was just a kid when I saw these originally. Also.... Thank you for keeping the original aspect ratio at 4:3. The way they were meant to be see.
Lord only knows what my Father was thinking watching Cyd Charisse. All I heard was " Oh baby.. mmm" over and over. It's what He was thinking that worried my Mother . I was only 6 y/o at the time..great times.
I so wish that TV and the movies would bring back the GOOD FUN Talent.. So sick of the trash that is out there today. These songs bring back so many wonderful memories. Wish the Snowflakes would have some exposure to the real talent of the past. So sad they miss so much.
@5.05 How cute is that cheeky naughty-little-boy-caught-in-the-act grin he puts on!!!
For around 40 issues or so, there was up to 1956 or so, a comic book called the adventures of dean martin and jerry something. Well, the thing to have been done was give jerry something his own book, and just keep the numbering going as just dean martin. So, he got kicked out of his own comic book.
I really enjoyed dean Martin Show. What an inspiration! What an excitement during those years. It's still fun to watch.
I used to watch this show when I was a kid and I still enjoy them today
Great show !!!
excellent shows back in the days people had real talent not like today
Watch for some M & L movie songs to come in the future :)
67 época de boa música. Saudades de houvir junto com meu amor. Que agora é um anjo.
The one and only Dean. Just the best❤
You're quite welcome, I'm glad you've found me :)
Any chance you can get a hold of more episodes? Would love to get the whole shebang
Sometimes Dean REALLY liked doing the show.
These shows are golden
The music in that Cyd Charisse number was also used in a Diet Pepsi commercial, think it was called Watching The Girls Go By.
Always enjoy seeing Cyd Charisse & her LEGS!! Would she have been as successful using her birthname Tula Finklea?
+John P. Jones Jack Benny, I read, always called her Miss Finklea. No, I think Cyd Charisse is a better showbiz name. The sparkling musical arrangements, as usual, make old chestnuts like "Devil and the Deep Blue Sea" seem fresh. Whoever did the show's arrangements was terrific.
I know Dean didn't like to go thou his show ahead of time but I have to imagine that he practices with Cyd when he twirl her around so gracefully. That man could do anything
Pardon my french, but what a fuckin beauty of a human being.
Beautiful I was born a month later
November 16, 1967 my age WAS 16. Do the math, November 11, 1951. Barbara did one episode of Hogan's Heroes. She got to plant her lips on Ivan Dixon. It had a special glow to it, seeing how Ivan Dixon only did that to two women. But Robert Crane did too many to list here. 8-30-2021
Why? The men covered, one woman has to show legs, ERA will never be equal. Terrible to put my comment out there for billions to read, but my opinion is mine. 8-30-2021
Dom says, Sounds like steam escaping in here. Blazing Saddles. 8-30-2021
Love Dean Martin! Def subscribing!
Love it.
I WAS 4 YRS OLD ON THIS DAY
Buddy was an incredible dancer too.
50:55- "Later tonight, Johnny Carson welcomes Elvis Presley, Lainie Kazan, Sid Caesar, Orson Welles and the Moscow Circus to 'THE TONIGHT SHOW STARRING JOHNNY CARSON'- right after your late local news, IN COLOR.....on NBC."
Barry I. Grauman ... NBC must of been number 1 with Dean and Johnny, all their great guest in 1 night on the same channel .
Introduced by Frank Barton.
19 Thumbs Down don't know the definition of entertainment.
LOVEEEEEEE.....TY....
Just subscribed. Love Dean Martin!
"Come baa-aack... I'm not maa-aad..."
Thank you so much for uploading these episodes!! I CAN'T FIND THEM ANYWHERE ELSE!! D; it's so ridiculous. Please Please Pleeaassee can you upload more episodes?? You are a saint! xox
Just keep looking for me, dino4ever, on RUclips; I've uploaded all I could--and I gots lots! :) :)
the only king of cool!
Dean Martin certainly had an eye for real talent. Cyd Charisse was sexy and one of the greatest dancers ever. She aged well, too.
Barbara McNair.
I don’t know why but I think women’s hairstyles from the 1940’s, 1950’s and 1960’s were sexy as hell.
Dino, drop the damn ciggie! They;d never put a variety show on now where the opening jokes bomb. Fascinating stuff-thanks for the uP
Do yo have the show with temptations??
None better
Dean was so much better than the old partner he had ( Jerry Lewis ) What a great entertainer Dean was .
WoW! 60s TV was brimming with talent and so sexy.
is it possible just to post Barbara mcnairs solo Performance?
I'll see what I can do there :)
It's really a shame. As talented a showman Buddy Ebsen was, when i hear his name, i think of Jed Clampett ... lol
Don't feel bad...the successors to Filmways Productions, producers of "The Beverly Hillbillies" and other comedies, are still paying Ebsen's heirs healthy residuals!
Wow! Love these. Cyd Charisse is wearing……wow…...
At age 45 nonetheless. She was a timeless beauty. And had legs at 45 that made most 20 year olds jealous.
Bob Kidd Cyd Charisse was terrific.
So nice without all the editing
God, you could have lit his blood and breath with a match because of his constant .18-.28 blood alcohol level. And start the music and turn on the lights, and you would never know he was plastered. He never rehearsed. He was known for: 1. Show up at the venue, usually already 6 inches through a bottle of good scotch. 2. Tell him what you needed. 3. Get out of the way and watch him knock it out of the park. What a natural talent.
Bob Kidd I don't buy him being drunk--not for a minute. You can usually tell when a person is drunk by looking at their facial muscles--a dead give away. (To say nothing of slurred speech.) Appearing to be drunk was a shtick, it worked for him, like Jack Benny being stingy or Bob Hope and his nose. He has too much discipline for someone supposed to be drunk. I also have a suspicion that being un-rehearsed is also part of his 'legend'.
Nancy W Not only his son, just about everyone ever interviewed who knew him or worked with him said the same thing, that it was all, part of the act, and his image. Think about it - he couldn't have had the extremely successful long-lasting career he had in just about every area of entertainment (TV, films, records, night clubs etc) if he had been as big a lush as he made out to be.
Bob Kidd he wasn't plastered it was all an act sheesh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
His friends was into playing along with him. Example ... When he was on the tonight show, he came on with a glass of apple juice Johnny took a drink and pretend it was beer. Later on in his life admitted it was just apple juice. Nobody who work close to him ever say he drank a lot.
He was drinking apple juice
is he drunk permanently? lol
son of a bitch, Barnaby Jones cuttin a Rug, HOLY SHIT
Dean Martin would have been successful falling off a log, that's how fortunate he was. Lucky for his audience, he did a lot more. Only, he shouldn't have mentioned President Johnson so much, because, had he been born 9 days earlier, like JFK, he may have been the one, slain in Dallas.....that's astrology for you.
Kris Jenner where she is
In the trash where you put garbage.
