on the IV chord, here a D7 you play a A diminished arpeggio (A C Eb Gb) and it sounds awesome, but i am always bit confused with diminished world: could we play here a Adiminished scale (whole/half step) or a Adiminished (half step/whole step)? In this context my ears tells me it is A halh/whole scale, A diminished arpeggio (A C Eb Gb) merged with Bb diminished arpeggio (Bb Db E G). I don't get the theoretical explanation right now but sounds great!
