I feel your pain brother 😢🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦 black, purple, green, and yellow. My hands ,My arms , my wrists, my legs, and shoulder were bruised . My bike is a total lose, and I learned my lesson . I still have a hematoma as the result of a fall 11 months ago. The doctor drained it once (quite a bit of "dead blood"). There was some difficulty diagnosing it because for some strange reason, unlike your case, I showed no external bruising! Thankfully, mine is not painful. I hope by now you are completely healed and enjoying life! Cheers!
@@cloakzdaddy3572 I'm sorry to hear that. Apparently, a prolonged hematoma can lead to iron deposits in the body derived from the blood that isn't circulating. I hope that's not the case and I especially hope you'll get to the bottom of this and soon be pain free. I'll be keeping a good thought for you!
Great video! Finally found one with information that kind of fits my situation. I have a hematoma on my leg next to my left knee. It's been almost two years, and there's still a lump 😪. Curious if anyone else has a weird numb sensation if they touch their hematoma slightly on the area? Thanks
Yes and I feel a bit queasy too lol. Mines been there for 2.5 years now…getting it looked at on Wed due to some newly developed symptoms that may mean it’s infected somehow and making my lymph nodes go crazy…
Hi, I'd watch some videos wherein hematoma might be drain by aspiration May I ask, did you had check up before? Do doctor did not recommend aspiration? Thank you
Yes i went after i got the hematoma and they said it would heal within a few weeks. That never happened and i went to another doctor months laters before finally being able to see a specialist who told me it would heal as well. It's been another few months and it doesn't feel any smaller.@user-td3sl7wj9v
I have a half tennis ball sized haematoma on the side of my calf after falling down some steps. The hospital did an ultrasound and said ‘it’s just a subcutaneous haematoma’. Me: ‘so what will happen?’ Doc: It could take a few weeks, a year, it may never disappear’. Me: ‘It hurts’. Doc: ‘It will do’. Me: ‘How do I treat it?’ Doc: ‘Heat (it made the haematoma warm up majorly.) ‘Ice and sometimes compression’. Me: feeling despondent. Currently the leg bruising is gone but the haematoma is sitting looking exactly the same on my leg,4 weeks since I did it. The skin is red and now is beginning to peel. I’m trying to be positive. But I only have so many hours in the day to rest elevate leg etc. I tried compression and boy did it hurt? So I send much empathy to other sufferers. I don’t know anyone whose haematoma has been so large. The docs are completely unimpressed by it however so I’m taking it as a problem for me but not them😅!
year and half old on on my leg still. massage and red light therapy and ice and heat and it still hurts and its still a huge bump. i dont want to get surgery
i got one on my shin from a football injury in school, its been almost 3 years and its still here. a bit uncomfortable especially when riding the bike. been to a GP twice, 1st said just leave it and it should heal itself in a few months or years. the 2nd useless gp said its juts another squishy part of my leg.
Hi may I ask, how did you know if your injury had hematoma? Did you take any imaging test? If ever you did, may I ask what imaging test you had? Thank you
I have one o my shin - same as you had- orange went to half lemon. It has been 4 weeks. Not much reduction in size. My Dr. said 4-12 months to reabsorb.
I have a hematoma on chest that looked as bad as your leg. The doctor drained a little of it but my doctor told me it’ll eventually go away. Well it’s been 11 days and the bruising is a little better but still have swelling and pain. How long did it take for the swelling and pain to go away with your hematoma?
I did the same to the back of my calf ..pedal landed on it ..looks the same hurts like hell ..have same attitude about just doing nothing for a while..did anyone consider the possibility of ..compartment syndrome...that's why I spent six hours in emerg to see a doc to be told the same as you have all done r.i.c.e. ..will see the doc after two weeks ..next Monday ..Tylenol 3 works ..thanks for a very good video ..
Hi mate. Any update on the haematoma, I’ve just had a very similar injury, been about 3 weeks now but it’s massive 33cm x 18cm on my thigh. I’ve seen some horror stories about long long healing times and I’m really worrying as it’s so debilitating. Any info would be much appreciated buddy
Hope you recover quickly bud, I've said it before, listen to your body and heal. When do you get your next advertisement payout? Next chapter of challenges beckons!
It’s still there a little bit but like 5% of what it was when it was it biggest 1 week was halved 2 weeks quartered 3-4 weeks where it is now It was in Covid time and I feel it should have been drained but they didn’t :(
I was going to say do you want a little ride out. But guess we will have to wait till lockdown is over. Let me know if you need a coffee or chat . Or even a dog walk. My 3 labs will run your Ivy around in circles lol.
Sorry to hear you had one two… it was after a couple of weeks it started going down Still to this day I have a small lump but it’s no bother, mine happened in Covid times, I think if it happened now they would drain it
@@bikepackist Thanx for reply. It doesn't look well if you aren't still perfectly healthy. My doctor told me that it's not common to drain it. Only when some complication will start. So I hope it will be OK soon. Finally, this injury wasn't unfortunately worse from my bike accident. 😕 Be health and stay well thinking. 👍

This is one of the more difficult injuries I’ve had to deal. Took 4 shots of morphine to relieve the pain. I never wanted to be admitted so badly
It was awful mine was in Covid and I ended up having to go in… I still can’t believe they didn’t drain it

Thank you
I have one on the edge of my toenail, not underneath thankfully. Not sure how to help it heal, i have to walk a several miles every day to work.
Medical advice is not my strong point haha
I got hematoma same size as yours. size of orange. the swelling hasn't gone down it been 8 day.
Mine took ages to go down
Did the hematoma leave any indentation or anything like that? Or does everything look normal now?
I still have a small bump where it was. It looks completely normal though.
How long did it take once you started resting properly? I have it on the same spot you mentioned and mine is day 2 now :(
Sorry about the late reply
I waited a week before I got back to doing things again like walking and cycling I hear it breaks it up
