My son had an abdominal surgery at 1 week old. We got none of this advice from his doctors. It took us recognizing problems three years later in his hips and legs before we saw a pt- who traces all the problems to the adhesions in his abdomen. 🤦♀️ thank God for PTs
I use microcurrent to reprogram the collagen matrix. Some call it scar tissue release. It is NOT a break up of tissue but much like combing tangles out of hair, all the fascia and the collagen begins to have the same elasticity and reaction as the surrounding tissue.
Thanks for this I am now 14 years old, when I was born I had a Timor on my inner leg and may have gotten amputated as the Timor I had was one of the worst ones I could’ve gotten luckily after 8 months of treatment I am now fully recovered with both my legs still intact

What about the idea of fibrotic adhesions that limit the "slide and glide"? Isn't that technically scar tissue? If that's the case, it would help to know the difference between that kind of scar tissue and a healed wound type of scar tissue, and what specifically is limiting the tissue articulation, if it's not scar tissue or as simple as hydration.

Just ordered the hyperice and will start skin rolling although the skin at the lower end of my knee is extremely tight! Thx again!
Very interesting. I’m six weeks after my TKR and getting to about 110° flexion and extension is lousy probably 7° or 10°. My doctor pretty much scolded me at my six week check up that I have not been diligent enough with my range of motion exercises. What I’d like to know, if you see this, about five months after you posted and I’d like to know if these exercises helped you with your range of motion?

I’m the same way as you. Doing almost 90 degrees after a month of surgery for the same. I’m afraid to do manipulation, which my therapist has told me about. She says I’ll need PT everyday after it’s done. I wish I had seen this video earlier.
I ended up doing manipulation. Best move I ever made! Highly Highly recommend it. I was at 110 they Put me under and I came out at 125 and didn't lose any of it. Yes you have to keep going to PT but that was no issue for me.
Update: After knee manipulation, which had to be done because of scar tissue being a problem, I am able to bend now 115 degrees. The goal is 120. Don't know if I can do that. Its hard enough to do 115. My doctor has me taking an Oxycodin (5 mgs I think) before therapy, win order to ease pain. I can't wait until all of this is over.

Try incorporating "backwards" walking into a walking program...work up to at least 10 minutes. It strengthens ligaments and tendon areas that normally do not get a good blood flow. I tore ligaments in my right foot when I had a clean ankle break. It took a long time to heal. The numbness is from nerves being cut... Whatever you can do to move your foot will help but the "backwards walking" really helped me the most and is easy to do.
