The world is to big today. I miss the days when it was smaller with no internet. Everything is just an ocean and so many talented people gets lost in the sea of mostly copycats and shit. Talent felt more important back in the day now its just who can spam and hashtag the most ,who knows the right guy to plug you etc etc. The world has become pointless to me :)
The Internet and RUclips have made information universally available which in this realm translates to 1000’s of a great guitarists yet only a few truly outstanding, amazingly creative ones. These guys are two of the exceptional players and there are and will be many, many more. My generation of Hendrix, Page, Clapton and Beck influence is over. The musical world is wide open and it should produce players who amalgamate all of the modern influences and styles into something new and rather unique.

Honestly, his style sounds a lot more like Hendrix than Mayer. His music sounds like Hendrix if Hendrix did gospel. While John Mayer sound more like SRV.
