Good stuff, man! I really like the idea of starting out in the lower range and then gradually building up to the higher pitch notes. I don’t have command of the entire fretboard just yet in order to do that effectively, but it certainly gives me something to work towards. Cheers!
it deffenetly gives a really cool dinamics to work up to, and a great ttrick to have in your bag if your ever stuck or don know how to approach a solo!
Awesome video! Could you address how to he does those double stop pull off raking lines, and those descending pull off runs? Mine never sound as clean and clear and it’s a sound of his I love and is frustrating to try and replicate. You do it very well.
its good to try them both and see which one is more comfortable for you! for me the two fingers just give me that softer tone, and givs me more control for how punchy i want it to be, and with a pick i striggle with that, thats why i choose the fingers! hope this helps
@@remij1992 its a simple 4 chord pop song from the 2000s by Howie Day and JOhn playing along the whole 7 min of Howies performance I know its quite simpe but i think also quite magical and unknown by Mayer fans

At 6' 45" you say Slow Dancing is "not in C minor" but you are actually playing C# minor which is the relative minor of E, the key you say the song is actually in. Good video though.
He misspoke when he said C instead of C#, but what he was trying to say is correct. The song is in E major, not C# minor. Relative keys are not the same key per se, they just contain the same notes.
