You know it's gonna be a good day when ATH posts a smelly water video
I will forever refer to my fragrances as "Smelly Water" from now on 😂😂
you mean alcohol
Lol😂
Wondering if you're referring to D&G products or fumes in general. Never sniffed the former that I ever liked.
@@wazzabanzook5028 yea ig it's called perfumer's alcohol, which is a combination between water and alcohol
This is one of my all time favorites and would be the only fragrance I would wear if I could only keep one. Glad to see your review on this one!
This used to be a banger when I was in high school. Massive projection with excellent longevity; an absolute bargain for what it cost back then.
Same here
I am saving it for my son, in a few years, when he's in high school, no one will know what it is and it will still smell amazing.
I had the complete opposite experience. 4 sprays and within the hour I couldn’t even smell it on myself I had to put my wrist to my nose to be able to pick up the scent. My girlfriend didn’t even notice it until she hugged me and even then she said it was faint
Used to be my signature scent until they reformulated it. And the funny thing is; the latest reformulation is pretty near the original (I bought it). Not as strong but smell wise. I like it 😊
Same
Same too.
Im so glad i still have my original bottle mostly full from over 20 yrs ago. Still radiates a ton, top notes havent faded yet thankfully. I always keep my bottles in air conditioned room, out of any sunlight. I think it helps immensely.
man this thing last 230 seconds.... this is my out the shower chilling at home cologne. love you reviews!
Sprayed 4 on as I left the house and by the time I got to work I couldn’t even smell it unless I put my nose into my shirt
@@dudeman3186 it lasted pretty long on me not the biggest projection kind of a bummer because the scent itself is amazing to me just wish it lasted & projected a bit more
Great insight into the technical and design(/audience targetting?) aspects of fragrance in Aaron’s videos as always!
Patiently waiting for your thoughts on Issey Miyake’s “L’eau d’Issey pour Homme” 🤞🏻
I LOVE THE original with the sticker. I would like to send you a small amount to compare to this version.
Pulled the trigger on this yesterday. £38 for 125ml on Escentual as they are running 25% off site wide. Also ordered 100ml of Dior homme edt. Can't go wrong at those prices.
This was my signature scent when it came out in the 90’s, used to be beast mode, not anymore but it still smells very similar and if you’re in the uk bodycare sell the 75mil for around £30 I think.
Love this man. Whenever I'm gifted a fragrance, I go to him, and then enjoy, or regift.
It's good to hear Aaron's analysis on a designer fragrance.
Now this is a really a blast from the past!
This was the first fragrance i discovered that didnt smell like a perfume. It was the first fragrance where I smelled the notes, mostly citrus and pepper. After a couple of decades away from it, I wore it again a few years ago and it had a powdery quality to it that I didn't like. I don't know if the formulation has changed, or my nose has changed, or the way it works on my skin has changed, but I was really disappointed that this'll old favorite didn't work for me anymore.
everyone is saying it's the reformulation.
I used the vintage Dolce Gabbana for many years only this year knew that they changed the formula, is there any alternative to the original one?
Aaron what happened to your Kouros reviews i thought it was an incredibly nostalgic scent for you? (i just bought it and wanted to re-watch)
Just started getting into fragrances 🤗. Please continue making these very informative videos.
Love your video reviews Aaron.
Your hair looks very dark atm, a few
lowlights would suit you X
I currently have MB Explorer on one arm and Dolce Gabana Pour Homme on the other. 20 min in the citrusy openings are really similar. I can identify the Neroli in D&G which gives me more of a HOT summery feel.
I love this one, for sentimental reasons as well, and it's quite unique in my mind, which I like, although it was heavily overused when it just came out in the mid nineties.
From what I recently read, I'm hearing this fragrance has changed again since D&G have recently moved their production from France back to Italy.
How is it now?
@@janm3531 I have no idea yet. I haven't bought the regular pour homme yet. The only D&G fragrances I have at the moment are Light Blue Eau Intense, Light Blue Sun, and K edp.
Thank you again for another amazing review!
It’s funny Aaron did this review, I wore this today randomly and layered it with molecule 01 to test and received a nice compliment at work as soon as I arrived. This was my signature scent in the early 2000’s when it was definitely a stronger formulation.
This is my all time favourite fragrance. (Vintage) I want ATH to do a spin on this 🙏🏼
please review encre noire a l'extreme, I think it improves upon your critics of the original encre noire. love your reviews and your personality.
Good review I'd like you to review a favorite of mine armani eau pour homme barely anyone mentions it on youtube it first was released in 1984 it's been reformulated a number of times but it's one that i think has improved longevity with newer batches i don't smell any difference, I wore it a lot in my 20s and i still love it now at 49 I'd be curious what you think of it, it is a bit dated compared to all the armani releases of nowadays but for me it tops the lot of them still it's just my personal favourite armani fragrance but nobody mentions it
I just got this for Christmas and it’s fire
“Maximum sex appeal and tenderness”. 🙄. I love how Aaron rolled his eyes as if to say “cut the bullcrap.” I’m getting this fragrance! I’ve heard so much positive feedback. 😊
I love this channel because of the technical (chemistry) aspect that Aaron shares. I took chemistry many years ago in college, so I appreciate the Aaron’s expertise and extensive knowledge. You just don’t get that on any channel!
It is"WATER DOWN"and not as strong as its us to be but its not"REFORMULATED"at least.
You are scanning it😊
Love D&G Pour Homme, best everyday fragrance simple but amazing. I have the germany and french versión, they are pretty similar, but the germany is powerfull and last forever. I even have the clone of this frag wich is Nike the perfume man.
This was one of the first fragrances I've ever purchased. Love the scent profile
This Aaron is one of my ALL TIME favorite fragrances! I’ve had it back in the late 90’s made in Italy before the numerous reformulations and it smelled way better! Now since this is always in my fragrance collection I’ve had all reformulations. Italy, Germany, UK, France. Now I just bought another one from the store that says made in Italy on the box with 3 listed scent notes listed on the back of the box. Very weird bc it’s batch code checker says it’s from 2021. If anyone can tell me about this new made in Italy that would be great. Anyways love your videos Aaron! Big big fan!
Some Chanel fragrances had the same formulation history. And in recent years the production of some batches of the perfumes have been made in Italy again!
The Batch codes are reused every 10 years. If you use a batch code checker and says that it is from 2021, I could be 2011, 2001. It is strange that the box lists only 3 scent, because it is only for really early ones (2001 not included). I smelled the new version from Italy, didn't like. I think the French version is the best one after que originals Italian versions
PS: never tried the German version, only Italian, UK, French and the new Italian
Aaron is a genus. No one can dissect a scent better.
What version you did review on, France or Italy? D&G has moved production since 2023 and all new bottles are Italian, some say that it was reformulated again
@@chrismitsos6817no it isn't I m referring to the DG website
He has the french version here@@lo_0109
The eye roll at 0:24 😂
I'd love to hear your thoughts on Acqua di Parma Chinotto di Liguria. As a 53 yr-old man, i think it fits me wonderfully.
My SOTD! I have a bottle made in Germany. 42 degrees out and clear skies. Nice fall day!
One of my faves from back in the day. I discovered DG Pour Homme late (probably 7 or 8 years ago) When I smelled it more recently, couldn't help but smile. It triggered my scent memory.
I've definitely smelled this on somebody back in the mid late 1990's as a teenager along with the Tommy Hilfiger's, Hugo Bosses, Paco Rabanne XS, Issey Miyake, JPG, and ADG.
Back then I couldn't afford most of that stuff. I always liked fragrances, but wasn't aware of which smell matched a particular designer. Just knew they were popular amongst fellow schoolmates & relatives into fragz.
I don't have to many Summer fragrances with tobacco. (Maybe Ultramale Insense by Givenchy being the other)
This sets DG Pour Homme apart, with that Italian zesty citrusy soapy quality as Aaron mentions, especially for it's time period (1994)
I've had the 2 formulations (the one with the sticker on front and the current one).
As far as newer batches, I've gotten better performance from the larger 6.7 oz bottles than the smaller ones so far
This is my favorite cologne
Thank you Aaron.
Pls review Chanel: Egoiste, the normal one!
Keep up the great work :)
I have all versions its a beautiful fragrance but euro Italia will always be the best it just projects like crazy . Current is good though.
Blind buy holding receipt , and I’m growing to like , I do not know how long it will last on my skin . For the price , it’s nice
if you can, try to get this bottle with a blue sticker on the front (made in Italy), that's the OG formulation, which is soo better
I have the og.i had two and crashes my car and left one full bottle in the car.tow truck driver got it im sure
I would love to see you do a review on Parfums de Marly Galloway
Spot on as always😎✌️
It was great before the reformulation
this back in like 05 was amazing
I had a bottle of this in high school, 2002 or 2003 and it was amazing back then. As this formula was from Italy, before it was sold and reformulated a year or two later.
I still remember how it smelled. I wore it every day until I’d used about 75% of the bottle and it was stolen at that point.
I grabbed a bottle the other day from a local shop for $20 USD that turned out to be the UK version.
I gave myself two sprays of this version after a shower and found myself feeling sick to my stomach after a few hours of having it on. The smell was just horrid. Nothing like the original.
I’ve heard that recently it’s began production in Italy again by D&G themselves, but have not been able to find this version so far. It seems like most retailers have the UK version that was produced by P&G Prestige in the UK. It’s always super cheap and loads in stock. Seems like they can’t sell it because no one wants this garbage version.
Never smelled this one before but have had a few persons ask me if I was wearing this while I was wearing 1981X by Alexandria Fragrances. Not sure if there is any comparison in the DNA
I absolutely love mine....
I can’t stop watching these lol😅 they are fucking great
nice hair transplant! turkey?
Great review Aaron. Please allow me to share a small advice. As you can see in the comments, many are aware of the fact that this is a reformulation of D&G Homme. The original came out in the 90s. Every time you are reviewing a perfume that is a reformulation, it would be really neat if you you review both the new and old versions.
Keep up your awesome work 😊
In addition to this often being impossible, I also do not know that I care about a review of something that I cannot buy anymore. This could be relevant in rare cases when the reformulation happened recently, and while both versions are still available on the market.
There’s something weird going on with the audio in your recent videos, sounds like a bassy buzzing esp noticeable in your voice. Could possibly be clipping from too high gain on the mic.
Fantastic, yet brief, scent.
Sounds like Dior Eau Sauvage EDT
@@charlesbaker4026lol no
Hi Aaron great review as usual! I did contact via your website for a potential collab did you get the opportunity to see it ?
It smells so good
Can you do a review on the Intenso flanker of this fragrance?
I tried it I prefer the original.
DG has reformulated pour homme again - the new Italian version doesn't have any tobacco at all anymore p.e - no neroli as well
Can you review psychedelic love by initio? I’d love to hear what you think of it. ❤❤
I have the original with the sticker and the new..one of my favorites
Which one do you prefer?
@Chris Meyers definitely the original!!
Aaron you are the Best 😅
I have started to make fragrances too 🤓
Is tetraoleate ethylene brassylate?
Back then when i Had This velvet Label . Was my scent i school
Have you changed your audio settings/equipment? Sounds like you almost have auto-tune on. 🤔
something must go on, it sounds so weird, already mentioned under the previous video
Had this in around 97ish was a really strong scent then bet they have ruined it would love to know.
Used to be my fall/winter/spring signature back in like 2004... they reformulated it somewhere along the way... not as strong as it once was... still good, not great anymore
review azzaro visit / Kouros Body or boucheron jaipur!
👍
whats wrong with the audio ? glitchy or something
It smells powdery and soapy I didn't pick up anything masculine.
Please review L’immensite Louis Vuitton
it sorta smells like hand soap to me but it's growing on me
This doesn’t smell like the OG from 94/95 sadly … I would give my arm to have a sealed & boxed bottle from back in the days 😅
I have one but it's not sealed.its darker yellow which shows its the og
"Do we have our buttholes of Dolce and Gabbana..."?
Um... is that how I'm meant to be doing this?
This was my first REAL fragrance along with Opium pour Homme. Both were fabulous then. Now? Meh 🤷🏽
Amazing
The original is one of the best ever
This and Versace's dreamer are almost identical
Plz do review on"MILESTONE"by ARMAF.✌️
This is false advertising….there is no such note as bergamont…it’s bergamot
He should smell the original Made in Italy version of this
Dolce Gabbana pour homme is Italy is beautiful weather is gentleman is welcome in the world of good mood is beautiful timeless is love thank you
T-sh has the moluclar structure of amph..why
I miss hearing you spray your arm
To me it smells too sweet
I don't trust any regulatory body. "Safe" is a term that can be bought.
first
No one cares except you..
There's no comparison to the paper label Italy made formula. My 2004 bottle is incredible.
Jesus loves you✝️❤️
Sounds very boring.
Only question I have is what’s up with this man’s hair?
This dude does alot of "Vogueing" with his irritating hand gestures ....wqish he would do a review with handcuffs on 😂
This fragrance smells so dated to me. I bought it a while ago and recently threw it away. Just wasn't doing it for me
Classic not dated. Excellent for suit wear.
