Thanks for video. Additionally - I had to heat the hub with a heat gun, plus hitting with hammer, to remove the outer spline. Also took off brake caliper (two 19mm bolts) to give better access.
I was searching the entire internet for a axle nut safety plate (for the very first nut you removed with that pin), only to find out in this video that there is none 🤦♂ Anyhow, thank you for the display.
Hi Peter, is this an automatic? The Nissan manual says to do the left side, you MUST remove the right hand side shaft on the auto models. I really don't want to do this twice....
@@PeterFinnTheCarDoctor Thank you for that video, with that help I managed to to the job on my primera. Now that I have replaced the CV axle, I have to top up the transmission fluid. Do you know how to do that if the top-up-screw is not possible to be removed anymore? I heard I could do it via the speedometer access point? Thanks!
Some of the oil gets out when you remove the drive shaft, but it's not necessary to drain all of it. You can just put back in the amount that came out, usually a little over one liter.
NO your wrong. a drive shaft is different than an axel. sorry, dude. your flat wrong. read a book it will tell you the difference. but you do a nice job

Thank you for this video! I assume it would be similar for a primera from that era?
Yes, it is!
@@PeterFinnTheCarDoctor Thank you!

Hello Peter. So what was wrong with the drive shaft?
It keeps bad sound in corners
Do you have to drain the gearbox oil first, or not?

I lifted only one side. Not a drop of oil came out. 😁
Okay. I replaced the gear box entirely recently, so had to pull both shafts out, also I drained the gearbox first. Which side did you change?
@@Strange_92
Both, but I lifted one side at the time on jack stand.
How do you put it back?
Same reverse
I have to ask, are you from Finland? Your accent is pretty close, I know because I'm from Finland.
Hello 😃, I have read your comment and I appreciate it. Thanks. 👍
whats the difference between an axel and a drive shaft? what you are replacing is the axel, not a drive shaft.
They are same.

you talk to much this took for ever to watch. you suck
Should have taken the caliper off.
Ok. :-)
Tai sit vaan laitat vaihteen päälle kun avaat kuningas pulttia 🥱
Thanks 👍😀
