I don't believe any of us who don't do this kind of work could ever truly know what all has to take place in order to do a job of this magnitude from the pre-job meetings until the stump is at ground level. I can only imagine how extremely mentally and physically exhausting it is. I tip my hat to all who were involved on this job to get done and to do it safely. Truly amazing boys. Stay safe and God bless.

Truly takes a team, climber and guy running the rope need to know exactly the cuts to make and the raps on porter rap.
Guy on rope could easily kill climber if he made a mistake.
This crew is spot on top notch tree guys rite here.
Fact they pray before every job is amazing and to me a guy who does this daily for last 33 years.
My take away from video is these guys are truly men to be admired and celebrated.

It’s rewarding and I like it. I’ve had many jobs and they all sucked. This job has a few moments that are as uncomfortable as it is dangerous. But over all, the rewards outweigh the risks. High risk high reward.

Yet again, nailed by you and the crew. Wood heavier than meteorite and only just stopping short of hitting clouds ☁️! Bloody Husky 3120, had one, used it a few times up top....hated it. Poor starting bastard most times . Absolutely loved the lunch scene, totally felt it. Wish I had your youth again....but not sure I ever had your skills.

@Stephen Tree, You wouldn't be bitchin' if you got to run my 3120. I got it about 1998, and had it fully woods modded in 2002. It starts easily, and is likely pulling over 13 horsepower. You can see in action here in my old vid which has "Squeeze Play" included. ruclips.net/video/L2wMdGPEPfc/видео.html

good work! when you were high on the second trunk with a relative flat line angle, i would've used a second lanyard or rope. would've sucked slamming into the main trunk :) also your loading the nose of the carabiners and not the spine.
also, have you watched lawrence schultz "3 tie ins while rigging big stem wood"? makes life easier, especially with a 3120 on your harness..

Would be great to see some of the setup on the ground too. There are very few videos showing the number of wraps to take on the port-a-wrap or what the groundie does to make a nice catch. I'm sure every climber would appreciate better catches on tall stems.

I think that I love and hate climbing all in one as it’s terrifying but so rewarding as you have been places where very few people have been and it’s such a thrill of the unknown because when you are up 60 feet and above it’s life and death that keeps us focused.

OK MY WORK HERE IS DONE AS ON WEDNESDAY I FOUND OUT I DON'T HAVE MUCH TIME.
GOD KNOWS IM ALL OK WITH IT.
AS A PROFESSIONAL SOLO ARBORIST FIR 35 YEARS YOU CAN ONLY IMAGINE THE TECHNIQUES I HAD TO LEARN TO SAELY TAKE DOWN TREES OF THIS
MAGNATUDE . I DID NOT HAVE THE LUXURY OF ASSISTANCE ON THE GROUND FIRST OF ALL SECONDLY I HAD TO SURVIVE MY DECISIONS , NO MISTAKES ALLOWED !
NOW REASON WITH ME ,YES I KNOW MY RIGGING AND TRUSTED MY APPROACH THROUGH YEARS OF EXPERIENCE.
SO HOW WOULD I HAVE TACKLED THESE TWO DEAD TREES ? I WOULD SINCH EACH LIMB THAT I HANDLE WITH A SLING AND THROW ON A PILE BELOW WHEN I REACHED A MANAGABLE TOP TO PUSH OFF AT THAT POINT I WOULD CUT SECTIONS AND PUSH OFF SINCE THESE TREES ARE DEAD SO AS TO NOT SHOCK LOAD / SHAKE THE TRUNK. SAFETY FIRST , I WOULD ALWAYS USE TWO LANYARDS AND IF NO ELECTRIC WIRES I USED A WIRE CABLE REINFORCED LANYARD. I'VE BEEN 100 FT. IN PENNSYLVANIA FOREST MATURE TREES MANY TIMES AND AT THE END OF THE DAY FOUND BROWN SPOTS IN MY TITY WHITIES , JUST SAYIN I EARNED MY REPUTATION.
SO WHY AT 66 AM I DYING OF CANCER CAUSE ITS TIME TO REST AND GO VISIT MY WIFE ! AMEN!
