After 30 years of climbing for the utility and residential, I've seen my share. Running and jumping on trees that where Hot. Knowing the thrill of climbing, I know how crucial a good rope man and team is. If they mess up it is your Life. So GOD BLESS your crew. May GOD BLESS you. I could never do my job without them! You are part of a very special type of people.May GOD bless you and your crew to go home every night to be with your families!
I used to love being high up in a tree. The higher the better. Until I fell out of one. I'm now afraid of heights. Weird how the mind woks. After the broken bones mended I stayed on the ground permanently.
@@LibelLinus304 glad you healed brother and don't take ur second chance for granted
@@ClarkWhite81 Thx. Merry Christmas!
I lived on two acres that was covered in huge white oak trees for near 20 years and every year at least one of those darn things would come down in wind storms. I was so glad to sell that pig and get out of there! There were several close calls including one that fell across the front of the house and took out the rain gutter and landed mere feet in front of me on the front deck!
The size of those trees are incredible.
and the abshole is cutting them down

Broooooooo I've been looking for a believer who climbs I'm so encouraged I just started a tree business pray for. And thank you for the channel and being a bold believe. ✌🏾
Awesome bro! 💪💪🙏🙏
Might be your best video yet. Absolutely smashed that climb. Well played!
Thanks mate! 🤙💪
This guy is LOVING LIFE He is living his child hood dream and gets to climb trees all day long like we did when we were kids.
The 🌴 then werent so damn high tho
Good job... and I really thought that it was awesome that you prayed before the job started in earnest... that is really cool... just the way we all should dedicate our work and protection to the Lord. Brilliant mate... 🙏🙌👍🙂
@Woz Berry God Loves you. He won't stop you from falling off a cliff though. You'll have to figure out how to process this and stop lashing out. Our bodies die regardless but our spirit lives forever. Jesus will welcome you but you must repent and accept his sacrifice as necessary. Try some John Macarthur Sermons on YT
I assumed since this video posted that you made it down safely but when that wind started picking up it got me nervous just watching it and I'm three thousand miles away. So I commend you for your balls of steal because that was one hell of a sketchy job. Other then that you are a great rigger because every piece you fell came down right where it was supposed to and great communication with your ground crew as well. You look like you got it together. A man with experience. Nothing wrong with that.
It has been a long held opinion of mine that these eucalyptus trees have no business being any where near houses. These things are house killers as is made obvious in the video. Here in California where I live you find house nestled in the middle of these eucalyptus groves and it all ways makes me wonder if the people living in these houses even know the danger it puts them in. All it takes is one branch to break off to destroy part or all of your house and possibly even kill you. The occupants of that house got off lucky. I hope they had insurance that covers that kind of thing. These trees are so heavy and they are not very stable or at least the ones grown here in California aren't and they get so tall. You had to be around three hundred feet up in that one from what it looked like. Plus there is the way they react to fires by exploding that is not good. So I personally would not live any where near one of these things.
When its hot they drop large limbs to conserve moisture. Deadly limbs on still windless afternoons. Plant deciduous trees around housing.
@@michelleodwyer2271 Yea. That's exactly what I'm talking about. They will also drop limbs if one has grown to big or if there was a loss of limbs on the other side of the tree causing an imbalance in weight making the tree unstable. They will drop limbs to correct for that. Or at least that's the way I understand it. But regardless of the reason why they definitely do drop huge limbs and you don't want to be sleeping in your bed underneath the thing when it cuts loose.
Mater of fact recently I had to clear a large limb from a clients driveway that came down crushing his fence. It was a good 10 to 11 inches at it's thickest point. Probably not enough to go through the roof but big enough to damage it though.
Pure professionalism. Outstanding teamwork… And nerves of steel! 🔥🔥🔥
And righteous faith ✨✝️💫
How can the People living in those modest houses afford to pay what you surely deserve? You are one person in millions who can do This!
I’m sure their insurance policy covers this I would hope.
Yes. When some times, things can be out of our control, a prayer can be the best thing! Not to mention, saying grace, giving thanks, should always follow!
used to be a climber , that was an amazing fell , anybody who has never climbed does not realise the adrenalin and fear a big tree induces even with years of experience !
Am afraid of heights and watching this gives me anxiety, imagine falling from there
When you was starting the prayer I thought you was taking the piss haha. Good job lad.
Good work. I’m sure the homeowner was appreciative of you jumping on that job!
Very nice job team.
Y’all have some tall trees!
Stay safe
Ton of respect for that work.
Nice to see you pray!! Where are you? What kind of tree was that? Look like a gum tree. And seeing an uprooted tree just nest to the one your in with the wind blowing must have taken some nerve!! Great job!!!
Ever had to explain to an incredulous client, how in a situation like this, when the one side falls, the root ball being unlocked destabilizes the remaining spar/root ball? I've been there scores of times, when they look at you like you're jiving them, when all you're really trying to do is not get hurt....🤣🤣🤣
Those looked like eucalyptus trees, they usually grow very big in a very amount ou time.
@@Allanlbrr says in the description it was a Mountain Ash
In Australia, the nomenclature of Gum/Ash/Eucalyptus is in many cases interchangeable.
More power to you, appreciate you putting your faith out there. Soldier on.👍
You are truly amazing my friend I really enjoy watching your videos. Climb safe and God bless🙏
Excellent job, but why didn’t you have a climbing line attached in case you needed to repel down or have a life line on another tree. I’ve been climbing for about 8 years so still new to the game.? I prayed with you, your an amazing climber 👏👏👏
What part of the video you refering to? He always had an SRT line in as far as i can see
If you are referring to the initial ascent, he certainly had a line on his hip, ready to be set upon arrival in the crown. Can't always have a line set ahead of time, if that's what you meant. I mean, I'm sure plenty of guys these days have that as an expectation, but it's not always realistic.
Hey mate, just spurred up with a flip line to the top and then set a line for the rest of the removal. Cool man I wouldn't call 8 years new to the game though?
The trees we have in Wisconsin are max 60 ft average. My God I thought Cotton Woods were big by us. Those are monsters. Be safe
Nice bit of work, the last bit of top that you took off was a good example of why you should always put two side cuts in to stop rip outs catching your strop. Well done from a UK Arb company.👍
Harry goin a lil old school today jeans and flipping straight up. Love it
Nice work! I appreciate the positivity. I climb the same as you and there is a lot of negativity in the tree industry. Anyways good job and smooth rigging. I really need to start taking videos myself. The problem is just having time. Lol… also and I have know idea how to edit.😂
Thanks man, yeah it's worth filming, I do it all on my phone, I'm not technically minded and managed to figure it out. If I can do it anyone can haha. It's Great to remember Jobs by. But yeah definitely hard to squeeze in editing time😅
Great job guys That's a scary tree 🌳 I love your faith in the LORD as well 🙏
John 5:19
Amen brother great video and I love that you lift one up to the Almighty before you start. Best of luck to you and God bless you guys.
Well done mate. Spiking up those big poles sure gets the heart pumping!
Thanks Lawrence, it sure does. How are you going bro?
Crazy, how every tree trunk has its own things. Some trees become a nightmare when even just slightly wet....others are fine until they freeze...I a spiked a 6' diameter completely rotten White Oak a few years ago, which had literally 8"-9" deep of pure MUSH for bark...🤣....it was like an old fashioned Keystone Cops slapstick comedy.....😜
@@TreeClimberHarry yeah all good I'm just getting back into climbing after a year off, nice to see you making videos 📹 gives me some inspiration
Impressed with praying beforehand!!! Respect!
I love that you prayed before cutting.
13:40 getting a bit risky reaching over the saw, especially your positioning, i know it happens but those moments where we do those things can end up costing you alot. when i started they had me using a silky to teach me how to position myself for 2 handed operation, im not a safety weeine i think its perfectly fine to one hand a top handle, especially when getting the sucker growth off. but reaching over the saw like that gave me a mini heart attack
Great prayer guys! When the chips are down, it’s only truly God we can trust.
Yeah he was a real sport dropping that tree on the house wasn't he 🤣
Prayers are futile
My respect to ur job sir
Absolutely. Spot on, brother!
Yeah we can trust he will make sure another tree destoys a house
Great content.. im a truck driver I've seen and been thru some scary situations.. but this had my palms sweating and they don't LOL

You have a great team Harry you guys tackle some monsters!
the prayer was perfect, thank you
Great work! You’re not gonna leave those totem poles up, are they? What was the height of that tree? I’m thinking over 150 feet.
25:22 - What kind of parrot was that at the end? What a beautiful bird! I’m thinking you’re in Australia, correct?
australian king parrot (Alisterus scapularis)
Much respect. Great work. Stay safe
I just saw your description and it is a mountain ash! Hard wood if your gaffing out on the way up!!!
Amazing as always, soooooo smooth on the rope work.
Love that you included the prayer.
Amazing work and absolutely beautiful office views
Gentlemen, you are fearless and talented…
The guys that do this work are a different breed.
Lovely job - I would happily have seen much more of this that you edited out. It's a bit of a pity that such a lovely stand of Mountain Ash were built underneath - they would have been magnificent when they all stood together. Was this near Olinda? A lot of European Ash are having to come down at the moment because of Chalara and where they grow in company with others they develop the same smooth bark with long gaps between stubs as the Regnans. That's given me a bit of excitement on a couple of occasions and for the slimmer ones I now routinely cross over the lanyard in front of me or even take a full turn around the trunk to give more rope contact, even though it slows the climb.
Thanks mate, yeah it's in kallista.
I'll have to try crossing my flip line, never done it.
Remember that time when we thought it was a good idea to put our house beside those really big trees? Yeah, it wasn't a good idea at all.
What kind of tree is this that ur cutting? Never seen one like it.I really like that you say prayers before you start the climb.God Bless and keep you as you go about your day.
I’m not a pray 🙏🏻 type of guy, but I like that you do this before you put yourself at risk . Good luck to you all in the work you do, it can’t be easy . 👍
Great work your guys have comms in the helmets?
God bless these righteous men and grant them mercy peace health and happiness Amen ✨✝️💫
Wow man that was dangerous stay safe 🙏
Nice climbing, the guys on the rigging line are a climber's wet dream !
Quick question…why didn’t you employ a canopy anchor via throw ball to assist your ascent on that smooth bark tree? Once I had gaffed out once I’d been back down shooting one lol. Depending on stubs isn’t my cup of tea. Your a brave man.
Was a relatively easy spur up, so thought it'd be easier than getting the bigshot out
That moment when you realize, maybe, just maybe, buying a nice home next to old very tall trees wasn't the best idea.
I am not familiar with wood. Could you use that wood for anything besides firewood?
The timber is very good, the difficulty that arises is that many small independent sawmills have disappeared, the few large corporate sawmills are not interested as there is not enough profit for them, as a result it is just wasted.
That red winged insurance adjuster at the end looked pissed😳🦜
Good ground man, that last top went out nice, it's like catching an egg... No freaky ride..
We don't have those in eastern usa what is that a type of cypress? Cedar? Just curious
Is this species of tree good or bad for firewood?
Good, harder the wood, hotter the burn.
Yeah pretty decent
Mate you have balls of steel,I got vertigo just watching this 👏👍
Amazing work. Just watching makes my stomach churn.
Holy shit dude I saw that sap and I thought you had got gouged or something mate. Made my heart skip a beat. Glad y’all are safe lad!!!!
Brilliant work as always lads
The logs flying down part was awesome. How tall to think the tree was
150 ft plus.
If that were me I'd be saying so many prayers in so many different religions to look after me I'd have to start work two hours early. I have dizzy turns walking on thick carpets. Wouldn't look forward to Monday mornings. Hats off to you.
Pardon my ignorance but where in the world is this?
Victoria, Australia.
@@LawrenceMclean Thanks.
3:21 that feeling when you dont trust your gaffs and so you just look out to see the ground guys or really anything to just take ur mind off of it 😅

Wow how tall is it
Awesome job from SE Virginia, US.
Your trees are Humungo!
Put a longer tail on your barrel knot on the flip line my man. I'd be scared
Best wood vid I have seen. Captivating.
bird at the end was like..... bro my house? what's it doing down here?
More superb work gentlemen. Quick question, why don’t you use slings to attach the limbs to the rigging rope?
Wow those are some tall trees...where is this?
a dumb question.. did you cut al thoses trees off because of that one tree?
Hey harry ask you a question buddy when you gaffed out a little bit do you think you would have slid the whole way to the ground if you would have gaffed out the whole way or do you think your safety would have caught you a couple foot down God bless
I think I would have gone down, pole belt would have slowed the fall though
Is that lifeline tied above the rigging point?
Yeah
I know the feeling of a tree coming down on top of a house all to well. Had a massive oak basically split the house i was renting in half during Hurricane Sally. I still have no clue how nobody was killed
Amazing watch as always 🤙
As a young man I always wondered why these dumb people out in the country where I lived removed the trees close to the house that could provide wonderful shade. After having gone through a tornado that violently shook our house and then jumped over our house destroying the barn, thank GOD and learning that our previously owned house in another town had received tornado damage and become an old man I now realize who were the smart ones and who was the one not so smart.
Do you have a radio when you climb? it sounds like you are talking to the ground crew really quietly.
Yeah 4 way Bluetooth headset
how many feet

kinda sad to see such nice trees get chopped down
Man those trees are straight as an arrow, is the lumber from those trees useful?
Fantastic team!!!
What was the height? Width at base?

My friend Luke was one of the best climbers. He died on a motorcycle accident.
What type of tree is it?
So no concern that one of those pieces could hit one on the ground and fly by ricochet?
Incredible as always👏👏👏
I don't think I've ever seen a tree like that what kind of tree is it?
18:52 you really put a lot of faith in that 1" branch.
Also buddy what advice do you give to a climber who is scared of heights but really wants to climb and do the job efficient what would your advice be thank you so much God bless
Just relax, and realise that your in control of the situation. And just more time in the tree to get used to the different perspective.
I’m 100% scared of heights. Now I don’t climb trees this tall but I’ve been pretty high up but it’s all about getting used to it and overtime you can conquer it. Trusting your gear and listening to your fears but going one step beyond it. Focus on your job as well and that can take your mind off the heights

@@br-dj2ti no problem. Start with small to medium trees and get really comfortable in them. That’s what I did and then started bigger trees. I could feel my nerves kick in when trimming bigger trees and I kinda lost track of the fact that it’s still just a tree but bigger. Once I had that realization everything became a little easier. You got this man. Practice practice practice and have faith.
