If you want to lessen their controlling personalities, make their choice heavy to them, and take responsibilities for it. At the same time, avoid them whenever possible. That's how I make my stupid brother stopped controlling me.

i hate to say it but Mandy is preaching something shes not very good at herself. When Georgie disagrees with her, she often snaps at him. If she wants to be equals in their relationship, that will have to be solved.
Tbf in her case, their relationship literally started with him being a lying underage kid and flipping her world upside down. Granted he's been pretty awesome since then but that was a hell of a way to start. Atleast she is seeing what is wrong here and is trying to fix it.
