On this channel we like to do a lot of dogfighting most videos are some sort of dogfight between 2 different aircraft as we explore their different capabilities. From time to time I like to dabble in Virtual Reality, I think VR is a great new technology and I love to show that stuff off for the channel from time to time.
If you enjoy war thunder or Microsoft flight simulator 2020 or even dogfighting in Battlefield 2042, consider getting yourself into Digital Combat Simulator by Eagle Dynamics, the Combat side of Aviation with the BVR and Dogfights really provides a different and interesting perspective on aviation. You can fly all kinds of combat aircraft including the F-16, F-15, F-14, JF-17, Su-27, Mig-29, Mirage and the F-18 Hornet along with many other aircraft and helicopters like the Ka-50 and Mi-8. - Игры

Thanks, GS... You saved the search for many. That's why this channel is so fantastic, We learn from the Best.
Please create a scenario where The A-10C & F-15E are competing against each other while technically on the same team but not really looking out for each other, trying to get the most kills (+ Important Kills), and of course survival! VS Couple Mi-24's, few Iglas, Strela, Tunguska, SA-11, and couple SU-25's! Plus provide ground support! VS .50 Technical Trucks, BTR's, BMP's, T-72's, and couple T-90's!🙏👍
Very cool lessons!!! And with TacView visualization again 😂😍🥰
NGAD vs F-15 ACTIVE, dogfight, guns and missles plzkthx
SU-57 vs F-15 ACTIVE, dogfight, guns only plzkthx
Those diagrams along with your explanations were incredibly helpful. Thank you!
The visuals really help.
My wife was asking what the difference between 1- and 2-circle fights were. You couldn't have explained it more clearly!
I talk about tactics with my wife and she just smiles and nods to make me feel better. 😂 I know she couldn’t give a shit
So helpful! We've had countless 1-circle vs. 2-circle dogfights but how you actually go about forcing your preferred fight on the bandit was always a bit of black magic. Thanks!
Bro, the way you just know exactly what to do amazes me! I wish I had a setup to fly like this
He's clearly very experienced that's for sure. I would say most of the skill is in being able to read the fight though. He seems to have impeccable situational awareness and can very quickly figure out how the fight is developing, allowing him to respond appropriately. It makes me jealous because I consider myself a pretty good fighter but I just cannot read the fight like GS can.
@@Patrick-zr8tv I *think* that I could be a decent flyer (even though I’ve never used any flight sim), but it would take a long time before I would be able to read the fight like he does. Thx for the reply!
You just need a better gaming chair!
@@Millz666 And a mouse pad
Looking forward to seeing this revisited when the full fidelity MiG-29 releases. Also nice to see the Tacview make a return - always very helpful to visualize what’s happening.
8:58 you almost went to Elvis there
Boy was I happy to see the TacView was back with the piano. Cherry on top 👌
Over the years you got better and better at explaining this and this video is the absolute peak. Even a complete novice should be able to get it this time.
These new G effects on the F-16 actually make it better
The g effects are for all planes
@@spinningsquare1325 Yeah but the F-16’s maneuverability relies on those high G elongated pulls
@@christopherchartier3017 so does the mig-29 as evident by that near death gray-out pull GS did in this video)
Love your videos!! I was a AD2 in the Navy and worked on the F/A 18 Hornet. I was on the USS Saratoga CV-60 and in Desert Storm and was on its last cruise, But you definitely need better opponents!!
Haven't seen so much exhaust smoke in your mirrors before XD
Thank you for the extra explanations and diagrams. I finally understand 1-circle vs 2-circle!! I've been watching your videos for years, and I never fully understood the terminology until now.
Man your ability to both focus on a fight and win while also explaining exactly what you’re doin is impressive. Good job and thanks for tips
I've seen you explain this before, but this is your best video on the subject - great job!
I love how far you’ve come in using diagrams, inflight explanations, and then TacView debriefs to get at combat geometry and tactics. I think I found this channel like 4 years ago when you were first grappling with a solid training in BFM and the tacview videos were great, but clearly meander a bit with what to present and why, and now you’ve got it laid out nicely.
You are the channel which has up to date best explained the terms rate fight, two-circle and one circle. In my early sim-flying days I had to learn the hard way. 😊
I remember flying aircraft, which could get around the circle faster than mine, but I could turn tighter, if there was space, so I had to resort to "bobbing" up and down, to "mess" up the quasi-static race around the circle that the opponent would have won. I also remember surprising other opponents in a rolling scissors by pointing the lift vector behind them while keeping them "over the shoulder" and cutting throttle on the way down and powering on on the way up.
Funny, when you "sort of" learn by finding out and "misinterpreting" old handbooks. With YT knowledge is disseminated basically for free.
Thank you!
Fantastic illustrations!! Great dogfighting course. Thanks for your efforts...... You're the proof that it is not the plane but the pilot who wins at the end!
This by far the best explanation of the basic fight manuvers i have seen in the platform
Great video! I love your commentary along with the on screen graphics to explain this topic. The review lesson at the end was great too. Thank you for producing such good content. I never miss a video!
Love the pop up diagrams and then the tacview debrief. Really helps me to understand how the fights develop.
The explanations are awesome! Gives the videos a whole new dimension!
Love the Tac view! Thank you for that!!!
Love the videos bro! as much as i love the dog fighting and learning from you really love the BVR and mission videos! keep bringing great content brother
Yeah I used to prefer the dogfights, but as I've watched more and learned more, I now definitely prefer the BVR
The tac-view really brings home the altitude changes. Great job!
I love this format of video! I'd love to see the rolling scissor and split-S explained too! :D
The added visual examples are a great touch no matter how many times I've heard you explain it. They really help me actually visualize what you mean in my head.
So much love in the comments, nice to see that in today's internets!
Of all the 1/2 circle explanations you've done this was clearly the best.
I wish nothing but success to you. The amount of work you put in to these videos is something else.
Don't work too hard, Christmas break is still long way ahead ;)
Awesome episode. Loved this tacview - it's been too long. Thanks for the show!
Cheers for the explanations dude, love the tacview.
You're training the next bunch of peeps to fight you, which is awesome because more people to fight = more GS videos. Sick plan bro lol.
Loved the video as always man.
Awesome video with some truly beautiful flying and excellent explanation of the circle fights.
Now this is a classic style GS video. Love it.
I always appreciate a tacview debrief, it really helps build a clear picture of the tactics you are teaching us.
TYSM for teaching the circle fights
!
Great lesson once again, love the way you explain the tactics.
Thanks for explaining.
Beautiful fight, even better explanations. Thank you sir
Thanks for the great explanation of 1 vs 2 circle…for some reason I’ve been struggling with this concept lol
my pleasure, glad you found it helpful
Holy GS you did work hell out of that MIG29 I told you another day you are missing the MIGs. I like the way you flying the SU27 or MIG29 .Gerat job by you again thanks ❤❤❤
You are by far the best pilot on RUclips, and I think thats the issue. You always win these fights.
I could like to see you fight your self :)
Thanks for a great video, and I love hwo you are able to talk thought the technic of these fights.
Are you kidding ? He lost a lot in his videos recently
@@Mike_Romeohmm okay, its just my view.
I think when he was fighting the French Mirages pilot - he really had found an equally pilot.
@@andersbonde5185 Equally ? He got destroyed
HOLLY SHIT! TACVIEW!! I missed that so much. Thanks from the old viewer!
Incredible. Fantastic commentary.
Amazing video, now after 2 years watching your videos undestand what is one circle and what is two circle. Thank you, great explanatory.
That was great. Thanks for the explaination. I understand now.
Need more of these kind of explanation!
Thanks for explaining 1 vs 2 circle! I was asking in the comments of your vid yesterday about that very good timing :D
These rapid release of dogfight videos make me happy. I would love to see half hour clips or longer.
9:06 Driver of the car passing through the fields - "Look Marge, it's a two circle dogfight!
Marge - "And it looks like the Mig-29 is trying to offset his circle!"
F16: "ShaWING"!
Loved this... the ribbon explanation was very insightful
The MiG-29 is a beast! Great video as always!
Awesome video I understand know how you can "force" the fight into a one circle. Dog fighting is starting to make sense
I LOVE the chess of this. The tactical "Oh he got slow you see..." I can keep trying to force one circle. As long as he keeps above 350 he can ride above my nose.
This is an awesome explaination, thank you very much for this video! Keep up the good work
Dude, I love the MIG29 for some reason. always love seeing you fly it.
You have such an incredible mastery of the tactics it seems often that it doesn’t matter what you’re flying you’ll be able to win
Thank you for clearing up my 1 circle 2 circle confusion.
reminds me of military training. it was explained so well i understood the 1st time. i was then taught 5 more times. only thing missing was a couple of exaggerated foot stomps.
Ahh, good ol’ tacview. I always found the tacview analysis the most informative.
I miss the tacview debrief! Thank you for explaining the 1C vs. 2C as well as how to convert them during a dogfight.
Dude.. those visual aides are MONEY.
So good for new viewers. And nice to see a tac view every now and again.
Thank you for sharing this knowledge.
10:35 the viper gets nose on first because it wins the two circle, and this was still a two-circle, but the offset meant it was a head-on snapshot with plenty of room for jinking and pilot error, not the F-16 chillin on your 6.
A professional F-16 pilot would do what GS said and match your movements. There are degrees to maneuvering in relation.
Tacview is back, that's great, I still wish it would've been there for the Aim-260 Video.
My friend, the Aim-260 is 1. still in development 2. still classified and so nobody knows how it works or its performance and 3. it wasnt revealed to public yet and nobody besides it creators know how it even looks like.
@@Mike_Romeo Idc how it performs, I just wanted to see the Tacview
Great lesson!
Those graphics explaining the circled are great
Great circle explanation and graphics finally ! It took me years to understand…
These past few videos about the offset 2 circle have really help me. I was always wondering why my rate fights were so janky.
really cool lesson. thx.
I think that was one of my favorite trainings with the action then the tack view.
as someone who's been studying BFM as a passionate hobby since your sub count was in the tens of thousands, i personally really like these vids as refreshers, especially seeing as counter-2 circle tactics are honestly some of the least straightforward things to learn with bfm.
I liked the little two circle and one circle diagrams you put in the upper left of the screen. I know what you're talking about because I've been watching for years at this point, but for newer subscribers, it probably helps tremendously to understand what you're referring to. It seems like the offset two circle initiation process is more or less half of a lazy eight.
Very well done!
Very educating, you are good scholar,i learned many things
Can you do a vid on "angles"? You mentioned in previous vids that it "opened up angles". Would love to learn about that!
hmmm, ya that actually a really simple concept, but I'll have to think of a good way of explaining it.
The diagrams are an awesome reference for us civilians!! Thank you!
I'm a big fan of the tac view! Ty
It appears the mig 29 is quite the gunfighter too. Of course pilot makes all the difference
actually he is king of dogfights together with su27.. back in 80s russians had total superiority in dogfights due to schmell ability to fire off-boresight archer infrared missile.. it means well 100 % win on dogfight scenarios.. only hope for west was BVR fight but back then it was far from perfect, dogfights would happen naturally..
Dude, you were a Top Gun instructor or something? great videos and thank you for the explanation!
What a great video for new viewers!
👍🏻I like the illustrations
Dang..... Tac View. Talk about nostalgia. ❤👍🏼
I don't really have any interest in dog fighting myself, but it's really cool to see such a skilled pilot explain the maneuvers.
Now I understood finally what 1 circle and 2 circle fight means. Thank you,
GS: *Does repeat battles*
Also GS: *Absolutely refuses to fly the F35*
This is the best video explanation of the difference between 2 and 1 circle in layman terms.😉
LOVING THIS CHANNEL ,,,,,,,,,,,,!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Excellent matchup
I like the illustrations
Two legends colide ... great video loved it
Sigo este canal desde hace años, y es la primera vez que oigo de esta maniobra, y es fascinante
Its been awhile since ive seen a tacview. Nice.
Your flight physics rocks bro, love your content. Tim UK.
Nice explanation! 🙂
bro im a wanna be pilot and you have taught me so much from your videos i really do love your content🙏
Insane how tactical these fights are...
I want more F-22 vs Eurofighter Typhoon in BVR fight !
Love these explanation videos
If it wasn't for you I would not be playing DCS. Your video's not only introduced me to DCS but have always been entertaining and informative. This old man thanks you.
Nice explanation!
Will it be about the three foxes next time?
