- Watch as I have a good initial flight, but then on my 2nd flight, the engine dies right after I get airborne.
It was a great day in South Carolina. I went out and flew about 8:00am, flew for about 30 minutes around the airport, then came in to land. My landing was a little bit rough because I flared to early and the wing ballooned, but I only fell on my knees.
It was such a great first flight, that I figured ill launch and fly again. The engine died shortly after I launched (about 10 seconds afterwards)
Why did the engine die you ask? Comment down below why you think the engine died.

Anybody take a guess why the engine died during climbing but then started right back up on the ground?
Strap or something sucked into airbox?
My guess would be an air bubble got in the fuel line. Did you run it up to full throttle for a few seconds before take-off?
@@joshperryppg look for a bad electric wire
So what happened was I thought there was enough fuel in the tank, but in reality there was not. There was probably a good 2-3 inches of fuel on the bottom of the tank, but when i'm climbing altitude, the paramotor and tank were tilted back, causing the fuel to lean towards the back of the tank. This caused the pick up tube to not be able to suck up fuel, which caused the motor to die. That's why it sounded like it was starving fuel before it completely died.
Lesson learned: Make sure there's at least 1/4 tank of fuel or more in this particular paramotor (Blackhawk R120)
Hey Jason loving your videos. Thanks 🇬🇧
Awesome! Thanks for watching!
You walked away oh, that means it was a perfect Landing
You have your Christmas tree up already? I thought Lowe's was early!!
Haha. My kids just couldn't resist. Trust me, if it were only me at home, I wouldn't have one at all.
@@YoDoonie Haha! I think it's great. Enjoy the Holidays. Kids make everything fun again.
SOUNDS LIKE FOR WHATEVER MANY REASONS YOUR ENGINE JUST STARVED OF FUEL? COULD BE A BUBBLE OR A BROKEN PART IN THE CARB. OR YOUR ASS IS OUT OF GAS?? MANY OF THINGS IT COULD BE? THAT'S WHAT A GREAT PER-FLIGHT IS FOR??? HAPPY FLYING!!
Wow! I think you had all the cops attention when u flew by?!? Hope no cop got hurt during training when they used the batons on each other?!? LoL! Thank Goodness u weren’t too high up for that landing!! 😲
They were definitely training hard that day. I hope i didn't distract any of them.
