Synopsis: "Nightwing: The Series" follows the story of Batman's former sidekick, Dick Grayson aka Robin. After a falling out with his mentor, Dick abandons Gotham and everyone in it. Emerging in the City of Bludhaven years later, Dick takes on the guise of "Nightwing” easily defeating the petty criminals who infest it. But he soon realizes he may have bitten off more than he can chew when a mysterious and dangerous assassin only known as ‘Deathstroke, begins targeting Bludhaven citizens. Can he defend his new home and the lives of it's inhabitants from the most dangerous foe he’s ever faced!? Only time will tell in this epic 5 part mini-series!

What Nightwing said when saying he doesn't need Barbara's help was harsh, but it's extremely justified. After all, how else would you react to someone who is supposed to be your father figure and your girlfriend fake your girlfriend's death and not tell you for a year and a half that she's actually alive. You don't toy with peoples' feelings like that and I'm totally on Nightwing's side.

Best episode so far. Fight choreography, plot, and characterization are all great, keep up the good work.
I love how they capture Nightwing's character. For one thing, not many people can do all the crazy flips and acrobatic stuff he does. For another, a lot of films that include Nightwing make him very serious, whereas he is the goofiest and seemingly the most care-free out of the bat family, which I think was shown really well in his banter with Deathstroke. Amazing job guys! I really hope you make another season!
The stunts and fight work in this series are just fucking ridiculous, you’re the first people to actually get Nightwing right! He’s my favourite superhero and you did his character more than justice.

Mad respect for giving the character of Deathstroke the respect he deserves. As a huge fan of Deathstroke I truly appreciate this. The intro fight scene in the first episode and then this fight scene in the club were just fantastic.

chad llewellyn I wouldn't say it's better but the fact that a fan made series is around the same level of choreography as a big budget movie like TDKR says a lot. The stun baton Nightwing used and the sword Deathstroke used in this clip definitely adds to the dramatic feel we want. In TDKR most combat scenes were just hand to hand combat between Bane and Batman which gets a little boring in comparison. It's like watching a boxing match, but we want to see jiujitsu.

I love this fight scene so much. As a nightwing fan boy of course I’m sad he loses but my god it was choreographed so well. And it even made sense dick would lose. He wasn’t prepared and underestimated slade. Love this whole series. Great from beginning to end.

I've been re-watching thus series for almost 4 years now and every time, I get goosebumps from how amazing the soundtrack is
I do not know why but this episode especially made me want to see a Nightwing movie directed by the Russo bros, taking influence from Winter Soldier I think they could do something interesting with Nightwing. On that note I definitely am enjoying this, sometimes the internet gives you gems, this is definitely one of them.

What a good fucking episode. They nailed Dick and Deathsroke's personalities PERFECTLY. If this series had the budget and high level acting talent, it would be an instant classic. I love Manu Bennett but this is a MUCH better Deathstroke. If anything, this is PROOF that a TV version of Nightwing or an actual bat character are things that SHOULD be done. People aren't too stupid to notice that the TV and Movie incarnations are different. Sucks how they allow the formats to limit each other.

Nailed it! Character development and conflict, good acting, very well choreographed fight between Nightwing and Deathstroke, stunts, location, music, and length of the video. Best one yet and I'm lovin' it!
Episode was awesome. Only critique I would have is overall with the fighting I would have liked to see it a little tighter and brutal rather than feeling like almost a dance rehearsal. Also when they were up on the tables, a top down or eye level shots would have been nice. One last thing would be when Deathstroke fires the gun we can tell that he is firing a composited muzzle flash based on his movement and such rather than firing a real gun or at least blanks. Part of this would have to do with the fact that he fires mid sentence instead of waiting for the end and bracing himself slightly for the kickback. Also on that note (sorry I keep coming up with these) the gunshots sound a little... Call of Dutyish, a bit louder and more of a snap should do the trick.
Anyways, great episode and I can't wait for the next one! :D Lovin the show!

Deathstroke is a super soldier with super strength, so he has no worry for a kickback on any weapon, especially considering people weaker have the striking power of a bazooka in the comics (Batman has the striking power of a bazooka)

These are stunningly well made for fan-works. I saw some article headline with a picture of the logo 'Nightwing the Series' and I got all excited at the prospect of a Nighwing series, but then saw 'Fan Made' and got super-bummed.
Then I watched them. Entirely stunned at the production quality of these. You guys did an amazing job.

Fantastic series of course, I don't think I need to say more. But what I wanted to say is that I appreciate the change in music at 6:45. The fight starts off with this heroic swell in the score and when Deathstroke starts to get the upper hand on Nightwing the heroic swell vanishes to a more menacing tune. That was awesome, really liked how the score reflected the changes of the fight.
Half he fight scenes with death stroke so far have been like Arkham night games with multiple attackers throwing punches in turns

Dick/Babs is my favorite DC pairing (barely beating Lois/Clark) and I was so excited to see that they were going to touch on the relationship (and hopefully make it end game...I know it's still early on) but I have to say, the actress playing Babs delivers her lines with zero emotion. It's all monotone and boring.She needs to seem more interested in the conversations she is having. The actor playing Dick, while promising, still has ways to go in the line delivery department himself. I know they are not professionals and that they are doing their best. I appreciate the fact that they put so much work into making these. I think, with a little training, they could both improve and be great representations of these beloved characters.
I'm about 99.998% sure that was red hood that carried him away... As someone said if it were batman he would have confronted DEATHSTROKE not walked away... And bats does not wear combat boots and cargo pants so that should tell you it wasn't Bruce... Also in the first episode he didn't break wintergreen a fingers as dick said... Calm down you big baby they aren't even broken!... Go back and watch it.... I have no complaints about this series it rocks and I'm digging it... I just hope after this run you guys decide to make more!!!
I honestly love the fact that when Deathstroke gets a solid hit on Nightwing, he goes into like "full acrobat mode" like defense mechanism, I'm really good at flipping around, I'm gonna do that now, sort of deal.

Okay, I'm not trying to be a Dick (Haha) seriously, you guys are really good. The only thing you need to work on is make-up and special effects. EX. Blood spurts were unrealistic, you used a silencer sound for jokers magnum that was suppose to send Barbara flying, and the scars on Nightwing are REALLY bad. They look like peeling skin, it was pretty gross. But like I said, I'm just pointing out, I love the series.

While I totally agree with you about the scars and you are entitled to your opinion obviously, I thought the way they handled the blood and fighting in this scene was well done considering they've got a low budget. Usually, a show like Titans or a marvel movie shows a hero getting beaten to a bloody pulp and still getting back up again (as if those same hits that resulted in a ton of blood wouldn't put them in the hospital much less keep them on the ground in a fight scene). So unlike other depictions, I thought this video really emphasized how debilitating a punch on top of another punch can be, which seems more realistic to me. Obviously this is just my opinion so no hate; like you, I am a fan of the show despite some of its technical shortcomings. :)

I thought you were gonna have Deathstroke get beat by him and I was prepping a million and a half references from comic books where BATMAN himself couldn't do that and needed help or some very extensive advantage. But nah...you played Nightwing's character pretty good, you played this pretty accurately in terms of skills and abilities....I like this. Not a fanboy's over glorification of a character, an actual ACCURATE portrayal...I think I MIGHT have to subscribe.
