    He is spot on when he calls out the painful inconsistency from animal rights activists (like the tuna in the tuna net). If you're going to make a case for any type of life form's "rights," then you need to be consistent ACROSS-THE-BOARD (which never happens). Hate this guy all you want, but that's the truth.

    • @imakethings9892
      @imakethings9892 8 лет назад +2

      Painful inconsistency? He created a straw man to make the arguments of animal rights activists sound absurd. Most individuals and groups who advocate for animal rights advocate for the rights of fish, just as they do for birds, mammals, and even insects.

    • @mmnissanzroadster9

    Oh my God, people. GET A GRIP. This is a comedy routine. Maybe we should have a telethon for the humor impaired. He's funny. He's clean. Two things lacking in most comedy today. And he's right - most animal rights people are nuts. I am a vegetarian. I don't preach or look for converts. It works for me, and there are many reasons. I have respect for hunters because they take responsiblity for the animals they kill - much better than someone who thinks that chicken comes in a styrofoam tray with a Tyson label. Hunters - for the most part - are conservationists. They keep animals like deer from overpopulating, keeping the species healthy. HOWEVER, people like PETA are insane. They murder more animals than they rescue, but try to force their beliefs on everyone. They think that animals should have more rights than humans.

The animal rights movement is only about giving them the right to life and not to die unnecessarily for our pleasure. how do you know what animals think? If they cannot talk then you cannot prove either way what they are thinking, so to make a statement like this does nothing to further your argument. It's especially wonderful to simply swear at someone who disagrees with you, because it truly shows how intelligent you are.

  • @natenation
    @natenation 12 лет назад

    I'm a vegetarian, as I love animals and don't wish to eat them. They feel pain, stress, fear and can suffer and have a right to live as much as us. I also believe we should not harm them, since they are Gods creatures. Obviously it's not possible to live without harming things (like bugs) but that doesn't mean I should go around intentionally killing animals or eating them.
    But I still found this hilarious XD

  • @boon197999
    @boon197999 10 лет назад +2

    This guy is awesome. But, that's just because I'm a Christian who lives by faith and I don't understand how nothing blew up and created something. And, that's probably why I don't understand how science uses facts and study to verify and account for everything it discovers until it can't figure out why there isn't evidence of macro evolution. "But it exists" we just can't prove it.

    • @Djanck000
      @Djanck000 10 лет назад +2

      Yes we can. I'm not telling you that you can't be christian, by all means keep your faith, but evolution is a fact.
      There is the "Theory of evolution" wich is the well-substantiated explanation of the "Fact of Evolution".
      Evolution is religion's new "missing link". It was a good shield while we haven't found it yet, but now that we did, you have to find something else.
      If i may offer something that will last for maybe 20 years it will be Dark matter/energy. We are faaar from discovering what this is and you guys can say that it is God or whatever.

    • @boon197999
      @boon197999 10 лет назад

      Your missing link is missing quite a few links. One simple example fossils were proof of evolution when nonbelievers thought Christians believed the earth was only 2000 years old. But when Christians asked why we have thousands of fossils and not one is of animal in between species. If birds turned into lizards and we have fossils of lizards and fossils of birds, is it unreasonable to assume we should have a fissile in between? Evolution doesn't disagree with survival of the fittest, which say before a leg turned into a wing it would have had to be a bad leg. This means easy pray. Or how about the fact that at no time ever has any species makeup becoming more complex been observed. Or maybe if humans language went from a grunt to complex words and sounds yet science says they the oldest languages on earth are the most complex and younger one are more simple. If you believe in evolution, you have to tackle the complexity issue.

    • @Djanck000
      @Djanck000 10 лет назад

      1: Christians believe the world is 6 to 10 thousand, not 2. 2014 is how many years after the supposed birth of Christ we are. IF you read the bible you will now this.
      2: I think you're just a troll but i will say it anyway: We have the "in between". A lot of "in between" to be fair. Just open a book or better watch a documentary.
      3: About complexity you are just wrong on what you think evolution means or what biologists say. Its not like if a wingless bird gave birth to a bird with wings. The change is so gradual that you can't tell the difference from any parent and their offspring. You need a really long time to be able to see the change and that is why the fossils are so valuable to science. You can see the fossil of a flightless creature with limbs propper for climbing trees and feathers to help gliding and other fossil of a creature with the same features but the limbs somewhat different, somewhat better for gliding than climbing and another fossil of a creature much alike the other two ones but wings.

      +Paul L No, but I have heard of lions murdering cubs because they belong to other males, ants raiding other ant colonies (and especially termite colonies), and chimpanzees kill roughly the same proportion of their own kind. I have also heard of the *cuckoo "mafia"*, since cuckoos will gang up to bully other birds into raising their young. As I have no idea if Salvator S. up there ever learned this, I would like to point out on top of THAT that animals like cats, Orcas, and dolphins all torture their prey animals before killing them, and dolphins *also* kill for fun...including killing baby dolphins.

    Well, the world would be a better place if everyone could hold hands and sing "kumbia", but our nature will stop it from ever happening. That is the reason why we wont ever "just get along".
    Cows are a poor example. They are generally domestic and under our control. I am not talking about cows, but other species. Look at deer for example. they can easily overpopulate. Once overpopulation occurs, food becomes scarce, animals start getting stressed and in return diseases spread like a wildfire.

    True, there are more primary consumers(herbivores) than secondary and tritiary consumers(carnivores) but this by any means does not say we shouldnt eat meat or be predatory. I think you are mistaken, even without us humans animals wouldnt "live peacefully".No, primary consumers always have the fear of predatores. Without carnivores, primary consumers would overpopulate, consume all the producers(vegetation) and everything would die out. The food chain NEEDS carnivores.

Now I've looked up some claimed definitions of "agnostic atheism", and the definition is right in the ballpark of "gnosticism". As far as I am able to locate material on "agnostic atheism" (or "agnostic theism") builds on a misconception of gnosticism. Denying is different from simply not knowing...

    @gothix114 Wrong. I'm a vegetarian for quite a while now, and I noticed that a lot of girls seem to like it.

    Love this guy. This exactly NOT why I am a vegetarian. I think Americans overconsume meat. I think cruelty to any other creature is a bad thing. (They say serial killers often start out torturing animals.) I think the cattle industry isn't the best use of the environment, blah blah blah, but I don't think animals have the same rights as we do. And I won't go along with that PETA stuff. I just don't eat meat. And I don't really care if someone else does.

    The book of Genesis is very clear about animals being put on the earth for the purpose if food. So yes, while they are God's creatures he intended for us to eat them.

    This is ignorant to an unbareable degree. No one is saying that animals deserve rights such as voting which is part of human culture. Animals simply deserve the right to live their lives free of pain, suffering and unnatural, unnecessary murder. They deserve the right to live freely in their OWN culture. Animals are aware of thensekves abd others abd they can learn and think and reason in their own ways and what's more they fear death, feel pain and try to avoid it. ,

    @gothix114 Well the truth is, we are herbivores that just so happen to find a way to safely consume animal flesh. Most of the weeds in our drives and gardens are actuall edible. Theres a guy in california that owns 3 propeties, has no job.. All he does is recycle and make money of that & lives on what grows freely within one mile of him. I found that to be amazing. The "posionous" plants are not poisonous..they are just to strong for us. But all plants have a purpose.

    But,was it naturally intended as the part we were supposed to play? yes, it's wrong to abuse animals. but we don't scold the veterans for fighting for our country. So what in the world are we trying to prove? That we can get attention for playing the animal abuse card?

    @BeastLordofMetal I would not force my kids to be vegetarians. But I would now "feed" them meat. I am just a vegetarian because every "doing it for centuries" argument is invalid, because animals have never been treated this cruel. Back in the day you treated them well because you knew you would starve without them and wanted to have good food. Its sick to put a living creature in a cage thats just a little bit bigger then they are themselves.

    yea if he would have the argument with a chicken...anyone who's actually interested in the subject would own him in about 5 secs

    @nextinline777 This argument is a complete failure. We are not built to be carnivours, I know, we are omnivorous.
    I never said we are "meant" to eat meat, but the fact that our bodies can digest it, convert it into energy and help our growth and development, shows the human body is incredibly adaptable and can survive on most of what you put in your mouth.
    We do not have to eat meat, I never said that, but we can eat it and it can be good for us.

    @appleh26 When did I ever imply I had an ignorant belief that all vegetarians are so because they want to protect animals. I know some people have medical conditions like yourself, and some people simply just don't like eating meat because of the taste really.

    I understand that people feel for and want to protect animal (and I do say that in a non sarcastic way) but isn't it true that God put animals on earth to feed humans "who are created in God's image" which the Bible specifically states. But I also believe that hunting for "sport" is a tad bit wrong cuz He put them here to eat to live not to stick a fish hook in its mouth, tear it out, then throw it back.
